Unless I'm very much mistaken, I heard that the new series of Frasier is to lose it's famous 10pm Friday night slot and move over to Mondays. WHY???

Not only is this an abomination, as Frasier has always been on at this time which devoted UK fans never miss, but it means that the show is no longer considered good enough by Channel 4 to be on its well renowned comedy line-up alongside Friends, Will and Grace, Graham Norton etc.

Furthermore, this is bound to have a negative effect on viewing figures because not only is it out of the normal routine for fans, but it means that those settling down on a Friday night to watch comedy don't see Frasier as part of their viewing, and it could lose fans.

Frasier has a massive fanbase in the UK which I'm sure it is proud of and partly relies upon. I hope that this move doesn't damage it...

Frasier on ch4 IS still on Friday Nights, 10pm from 9th January.

The Monday Frasier you are referring to is just a repeat from the last episode of Season 9 - Moons over Seattle - Where the cliffhanger Nile/Daphne wedding finished off.

the continuation to the premiere of season 10 is friday:) :woohoo:

I'd love it if you were right, but the new Radio Times claims that Frasier Season 10 begins with a double bill on Monday 6th, while it's usual 10pm Friday slot will be filled by Graham Norton that week. Kind of ironic since he just had Jane Leeves on his show and was saying how much he (and everyone else) loves Frasier.

Perhaps it's just for that week - or perhaps could the TV guide be wrong? I'm clutching at straws here - I don't want it to be on Mondays!!!:(

yes you are correct, Frasier has now moved to Mondays, I guess that is because there is a New Series of Friends on Fridays instead.
Oh, Well, atleast new friends, frasier, sex and the city and Grounded For Life in one week.

:) :) :D :) Good TV!!!!!!!!!!!:D

That's like what happened a while ago in the US when Frasier got moved from the "Must See TV" Line up on Thursdays to tuesdays

It's a shame when that happens to a TV show. To make matters worse, Frasier doesn't even seem to have a regular slot at all now. Next week it won't even be at 10 o'clock, but at 10.35 instead. What kind of time is that? Once again it's to make way for Graham Norton, who has even trounced what I thought was going to be Frasier's new Monday slot!

On a happier note, we finally got to see the beginning of Season 10 last night - the first two episodes. They were both pretty good IMO, even the second one which everyone on here seemed to dislike. On the basis of those two, I have higher hopes for this season than I did for Season 9 this time last year.
