Greetings,

I was told that the Columbia House tapes for ILL are cut to 21 minutes! Wow! if this is true, TV Land even has more footage! Is this true on all of the episodes or just some in the series? Some people were asking about this and I need clarification. Now, for those with DVD players, have the episodes on DVD been cut as well or are they fully restored? Thanks for the info!

The old ones my Mom has say 25 minutes, how old are yours?

I don't actually have them, I wanted to clarify this editing issue before I considered purchasing them. If the ones that your Mom has are indeed 25 mins, then they sound uncut to me! Thanks!

I believe the Columbia House tapes are unedited. The DVD's are the restored version.

If they are 25 minutes, they are not edited. Anything less and they probably are.

Of course, they're not, that was the whole point, to get the COMPLETE shows, Desi, in his book, said 24 minutes and change! On regular TV, they usually insert more commercials and therefore cut scenes!

Tape an episode. They last 21+ min w/o commercials.

The store released DVDs I bought this past summer (Volumes 1 & 2) ARE edited. Which is so awful. 21 minutes.

I was going to buy Vols. 3 & 4, but I may not, because of this. Such a shame.

I'm checking one now in case I may be wrong (I doubt I am).

Why sell them if they're not the full thing?:rolleyes:

Okay. I just finished timing it YET again, and you all are right. They are unedited. At first I was using the regular clock to determine the time, and this time used the time elapse on the DVD player. It was exactly almost 24 minutes. Give or take 10 seconds, LOL.
