View Full Version : I Got A Question?
JDS84 12-26-2002, 09:54 PM As all you guys know my sister is going to have a baby. Her husband is not happy at all. He keeps telling people he don't want no kids at all. He is being such a total butt-head to my sister. My mom wants to kill to strangle my brother in law. Do you think my brother-in-law will come around eventually?
Unwanted Angel 12-26-2002, 09:56 PM Trust me, Once he sees his child for the first time he will change his mind. I promise once he holds that baby he will think diferently
SomeOneNeedsAHug 12-26-2002, 10:00 PM i think he will after the baby gives him its first smile :D

I hope so. You don't know how much I am worrying over this.
Unwanted Angel 12-26-2002, 10:07 PM Well when i had my son at first i didn't want him because i was so young (i was 15 at the time) but once i held him in my arms i knew i could never give him up for adoption
Mijada 12-26-2002, 10:11 PM I sure hope he comes around for the childs sake. There is no worse feeling in the world than to grow up knowing you were never wanted.
FOLrocks1 12-26-2002, 10:15 PM I think he will come around eventually.
JDS84 12-26-2002, 10:16 PM My sister told him like it or not there is a baby on the way. I bet he will end up leaving my sister. I guess I shouldn't say that.

I couldn't have said that better myself. I agree with JD#1F.

A also agree with Mijada, I can't imagine how horrid that would feel. I just know he'll love the baby when he sees it's sweet little face. :D

Are you absolutely sure he doesn't have a deeper reason for not wanting kids? It could be something as simple as not wanting kids. Yet, it could be he has worries that he won't be a good father. He's worried about bringing another kid into this over populated and dangerous world. See what I'm getting at?

I found the quote that kind of ties in with this post. If he's worried about bringing another kid into this over populated and dangerous world, you should share this quote w/ him.
"In the best of times, our days are numbered anyway. And so it would be a crime against nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that we would put off doing those things for which we were intended for in the first place, the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to hit a ball and to bounce a baby." --Alistair Cooke
That was in an episode of 'All in the Family'. Gloria was pregnant and Michael was angry that she got pregnant. He felt that it would've been a crime to have a baby and put in such a dangerous world. He walks around for awhile and he visits the Bunker's neighbor, the Lorenzos. Irene shared this article with him that had the above quote in it. That quote changed his mind about babies.
Hollow 12-26-2002, 11:06 PM Thats really sad, i hope he changes his mind. My friend has a cousin whose parents didnt try to have her, and they tell her that. I feel so bad for her.
MandieR1980 12-26-2002, 11:52 PM Maybe he will come around once the child is born but hey if he didn't want kids he should have used protection cuz he helped make that baby she didn't do it alone so he's to blame too.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 12-28-2002, 12:11 AM How long have they been seeing eachother??
Most guys feel like that.. they feel neglected because the woman spends for time and thought on the new baby. Maybe if she lets him know she still loves him and gives him some attention, he'll come around. Right now, hes just jealous of the baby. (Ive seen enough TV shows to know! LOl). If he doesnt come around when the baby is born, then screw him. She can find a better man!
*Marilyn Monroe* 12-28-2002, 01:09 AM I bet that he's just still getting used to the idea. Hey...I dont know if I'd want a kid, no matter what age I am, but if it's coming, I'd still accept it and love it. Keep us posted on what happens!

I will.
My mom talked to my sister the other day and she said that one of her husbands friends more or less told him like it is and my sister said that he was talking more about the baby now.
