Most movie buffs know these, but they're worth posting.
To find out when a movie is hitting the video stores, there's www.videoeta.com
www.rottentomatoes.com is a terrific website for reviews and everything else about movies.
www.littlegoldenguy.com is handy for finding every Oscar nomination and win since the beginning of time.

Thanks for the info:wave: Upcomingmovies.com used to be a great site to see what movies are currently in production or will be made in a couple of years, but I don't think it's an active site anymore.

The Internet Movie Database (http://www.imdb.com) is arguably the best place to look up movies and TV shows. They have goofs, alternate versions of movies, trivia, and much much more.

You're right. I use IMDB all the time. What I like about Rottentomatoes.com is the freshness rating that they give movies. All reviews are compiled and averaged out and each movie is given a 'Freshness Rating'. Anything over 60% is good or 'fresh', anything under is rotten. I don't allow critics to determine which movies I select to see, but it's handy to have reviews tallied and averaged. I usually read movie reviews after I've seen a movie.
A hilarious site is www.mrcranky.com
This guy knocks the hell out of movies. His rating scale is too funny.

Slipups (http://www.slipups.com)
I like that site.
One of my faves is Dark Horizons (www.darkhorizons.com) an Australian site that posts info pics and rumors about upcoming films, video releases, and also provides interviews and links to all kinds of movie news.
Of course, for a slightly off kilter look at the film and TV biz, there's always Aint It Cool News..
