I just sorta drained it out with rubbing alcohol, :lol:. The keyboard's fine... but my mouse, heh.. that's a different story. The buttons are still sticky.

My friend spilt Sprite all over hers once, and had to replace it.

Well, It seems to be working alright so i guess It'll just have to have that lovely scent of Diet Coke on it forever.

I split tea on mine one time and had to replace it cause all the letters were screwy. Lik ei would hit the "L" key put the screen would show me a "T"... but another friend of mine spilt water on it and after it draine dand dried it was fine. I guess it just depends on how much ya split. But if yours is working fine, i'd just live w/ it.. diet coke spells good anyway.. hehe

Yea I was talking to my friend online and she started typing like "SNDI @!# HJIADSCBAYWIA@JIDSFJ" and im like "HUH?" so she called me and she's like "I SPILLED MILK ON MY KEYBOARD!! WHAT DO I DO?!?!?!" So I told her to dry it with a hair dryer and it worked. yay.

Neways i used a paper towel to clean it cuz it just got on some of the keys, no big deal.

Aaaanyways...Yea.. theres so many crumbs under these boards..Ive got a full meal packed under here!

We keep cleaning it out..but we have a habit of eating right over it!:crazy:

I always follow the computer lab rules at school and work environments and that is....DON'T EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING RIGHT NEXT TO YOUR KEYBOARD! Turn your chair away and eat or drink whatever your eating or drinking and then come back. At school or work, they don't allow food or drink in the labs and it's a good rule. I have a big work station and sometimes if someone has a Coke or something I have them push it way off to the side in the corner so it can not spill on the keyboard or any other equipment. (You never want to set any food or drink on your hard drive either)

Windows is so screwy as it is that you don't want food or drink making matters worse. I always wash my hands after eating anything with a sticky residue and it has extended my computer's life! When these things cost over $1000 and only have at best a 5 year lifespan, I am sure gonna do whatever I can to take care of it.

I agree with you on that one I ruined my other computers keyboard because of eating near it NOW I WONT EVEN ALLOW MY NIECE AND NEPHEWS down here with food
