Hi, I have been browsing these boards for sometime now and finally decided to register. I have been a fan of AITF for about a year. This past weekend, it was fun to see all the Christmas episodes of classic TV shows (AITF included) on TVLand. I'm glad they're showing ABP now too. I was not around when AITF first came on (I was born in 1978). But now, I have collected the episodes on the Columbia House tapes and taped other episodes from TV and enjoy them. The tapes are better to watch because you see the full episode. I don't like how N@N cuts up the episodes, they take out entire scenes and dialogue.
I've recently dabbled in AITF fan fiction too. I don't know how you feel about fan fiction, but it's interesting and fun to write. I read the fan fic about Edith's death and that was excellent!
I've written my own AITF/ABP fan fic about two weeks ago. Besides being an AITF fan, I'm also a Beatles/John Lennon fan. ABP was on when John Lennon was killed on December 8th, 1980. I wrote an episode (and created a character who was a big JL fan) about how Archie's still dealing with Edith's death and how the character and Archie react to JL's death. If you're interested in reading, I can send it to you.
I also have an AITF page. You can find it at:

This sounds like a fun board and the people sound very nice. I'm looking forward to having discussions about the greatest show in television history! ::wave:

I also both a big AITF fan and a Beatles/John Lennon fan. When John Lennon was killed it was one of the saddest moments of my life. I was also unhappy about the current administration that was coming in (as I am unhappy with the one we have today). However, I don't think Archie cared much for the Beatles (or anything in England, for that matter, remember, he what he called it when Mike's friend Roger came to visit). So I don't think he would have had much reaction, or unfortuneately it would have been the same reaction that our president-elect had at the time, which was basically "who cares".

Yeah, Archie wouldn't have cared for the Beatles, he would've called them "fruits" for sure (I do have him calling them that in my story :)). That's too bad the President didn't really care either....

Hi everyone! I enjoy watching the AITF reruns on Prime in Canada everyday! Prime showed all of the Christmas episodes last month, they're good at showing the complete episodes such as "Edith's Birthday" two-parter. I just wish that the DVD's were available to buy in the stores here just like all of the other shows on DVD at the moment. I would buy them if they sold them at Future Shop like The Jeffersons.
