I hope Hallmark decides to acquire the rights of The Munsters pretty soon because TV Land will be losing them sometime in 2003. Jack1000 12-28-2002, 05:20 PM Hummmmm. I didn't see The Munsters listed on the survey. What question was it, do you remember? Jack fore284 03-16-2003, 01:47 PM They are losing the rights at the end of this month. March 31 is the last episode of The Munsters TVLand is playing for a long time. jake516 03-16-2003, 11:47 PM I can't find the survey link ... It has been about two years and six months since the show was re-added to the network. Two and half years isn't much at all considering that shows such as Hogan's Heroes and Gunsmoke have aired on TV Land for more than four years. Also, wouldn't you think it was about time TV Land would get rid of The Andy Griffith Show? That sitcom has been airing on the network non-stop since January 1st, 2000 and it was on TV Land before The Munsters came on TV Land again. I don't understand. Wouldn't it make sense to get rid of The Andy Griffith Show first and then The Munsters since TAGS debuted before TM did? At times, the executives at TV Land make no sense at all. TV Land takes shows off when their contracts are expiring. Not how long they've been on the network. In 1998, TV Land was finishing up Nick @ Nite's contract, it aired from January 1998 through May 1998. TV Land aquired it again in 2000, and they are losing the rights on May 31st, 2003. TV Land dropped it two months before it was to expire. So, they are losing it very soon. But I do see you're point. Andy needs a huge break. At least it only airs twice a day and not more, as it used to. |
