Luckymama58 05-25-2001, 01:11 PM Tracy, you are full of such good ideas!
If no one else is brave, I'll go first. My date with Freddie would consist of dinner, a play and dancing. I love to eat Italian, so Freddie picks me up after work and we go to Mamma Leoni's in NYC. I will have seafood fettechini and he can have anything he wants!
After dinner we go to see the broadway musical, Phantom of the Opera! After the play, which was fantastic, BTW, he decides to hire a horse drawn carriage, for a romantic ride through Central Park! There is lots of kissing and cuddling going on in between the stories he tells me about growing up in the city and singing me the songs from the play we just saw. We end the evening with dancing at a Puerto Rican night club. We dance the rumba, tango and the mamba. But the best dances are the slow ones where I get to rest my head on his chest,(he is much taller than I am!) and I can listen to his heart beat! He takes me home, gives me a good night kiss to end all kisses, and promises to call me as soon as he gets home. We spend the night talking to each other on the phone, making plans for our next date. I go to sleep that night with a big smile on my face! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
atlangel 05-25-2001, 01:40 PM Hi Croiter, great idea. It will be interesting to hear what "the fellas" discuss.

Tracy-Prinze 05-25-2001, 07:53 PM Heyyyyyyy Luckymama,
You are a brillant story teller, my goodness,
what a nice date. I could just see it, you have great skills as a writer. I can not wait for your second date with Freddie. Do you have any energy left? (LOL) http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Thank you for going first, and breaking the ice.
Tracy-Prinze 05-25-2001, 07:57 PM Thank you Jennylee, Atlangel, Jackie, and Luckymama for the compliment, You all are very creative yourselves. Let's keep having fun.
croiter 05-25-2001, 08:05 PM Freddie flew to New York for the Memorial Day weekend. We went to Nobu for sushi and Freddie drank saki. I had table wine. We hadn't been seated for five seconds before four beautiful women approached our booth and started harassing Freddie for his autograph. He was a real gentleman, though, and acted like he didn't mind. He kissed each of the ladies on both cheeks and gave a couple of them huge hugs. One lady asked who I was and I said, "Just a fan." She smiled and said, "You're cute, too." The others just gushed over Freddie.
Freddie cut our dinner short because he had to meet with a casting agent uptown. He got into his limo and offered to call a car for me to take me back to Jersey, but I just smiled and said, "Don't worry about me, Freddie. I'll take the train." He said, "You sure, Bud? It's no trouble, I can have a driver here in ten minutes." I said, "Freddie, you picked up the tab for dinner and spent time with me. That's more than enough. Have a good night."
He grasped my hand tightly in his and said, "See you, soon," flashing that million dollar smile and got into the limo, cell phone in hand.
Tracy-Prinze 05-25-2001, 09:55 PM Croiter, you and Freddie had a ball, did you want to go home with any of those ladies? Did Freddie act as if he wanted to go home with any of those ladies?
Thank you Croiter for giving us the juicy details, we can't wait until you and Freddie hang out again.
croiter 05-25-2001, 09:57 PM No, Freddie was a gentlemen. He kissed the ladies good-bye and they went on to their little party in SoHo.
By the way, Freddie asked me to add the section, "Who was Carol Novak," to my website at www.prinze-sr.cityslide.com (http://www.prinze-sr.cityslide.com)
plug-plug!
Luckymama58 05-25-2001, 10:17 PM Thanks everyone for the compliments. Tracy, it's not hard to write when Freddie is your muse! I just write what I think! I would love to describe my second date, but I will not be a date hog! LOL. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif I'm waitng to hear from the others. Croiter, that was a great time you described! I could see the two of you 'BUDS' hanging out and crusin' together. Can't wait to hear more from everyone! BTW: jump in the water's fine!LOL http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
callmetootie 05-25-2001, 10:21 PM Me and Freddie went to Disneyland together, and we had a ball! We then went to this mexican restaurant in China, where Freddie did the tango.

Andrew Carden
EdBrownJr 05-25-2001, 10:50 PM Me and Freddie went to this Strip Club in NJ, Freddie was buying the lovely dancers drinks and they where all flocking over to dance for us. Freddie belted out a few "Loooking Goood" to the girls as we both watched in amazement as they danced and boy could they dance. We then moved to a more private area of the club a VIP Area sort of and boy did we all have fun.

Tracy-Prinze 05-25-2001, 11:01 PM I am just laughing right now this is sooooo funny.

Freddie is waiting for some more fun http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
I wonder who's next?
Karen64 05-25-2001, 11:08 PM I'll always remember my virtual date with Freddie....He picked me up at my place. He was about 45 minutes late and I was relieved when the door bell finally rang! There he stood, all 6'2" of him, dressed in a fantastic looking suit that seemed to be made just for him. He produced 3 roses from behind his back, smiled sheepishly, and appoligized for being so late--something about the traffic.... "Don't worry about it" I managed to stammer nervously. He smelled so good!
He took me to a cozy little Italian restaurant- We sat towards the back, where it was dark and less crowded--(was the seating arrangement because of his star status or because he was romantic and wanted me all to himself? Hmmm..I like to think the latter) We had a wonderful meal and ordered a bottle of wine. We talked for hours!! It was amazing that two people from such different backgrounds could find that they have so much in common...we talked about our hopes and dreams for the future, our fears, our favorite things, we even divulged our shoe sizes with each other! I was so comfortable with him that I had let down my hair and kicked off my shoes under the table.
Well, around 11:00 he said he had to cut it short because he had to get up early the next morning. He drove me home and gave me a long, passionate goodnight kiss while we sat in the car--the kind that makes you melt just thinking about it!
What a night!! What a guy!!

To Karen64, your date with Freddie was fabulous! The way Freddie appoligized for being late for your date, MY! What a gentlemen. How romantic of Freddie to give you 3 roses. WOW he is tall and sexy. What kind of wine did you and Freddie have?
To Callmetootie,Croiter, and Ed Brown Jr., My we ladies are enjoying your guy stories.
To Ed, what did you and Freddie do in the private area of the strip club?
All of you are on the best-selling list of Romance Novels and The Good Pals Novels.
Great stories everyone and let's keep them coming. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Cheryl Harrell 05-26-2001, 06:26 AM Since I'm married to my hubby I'll pretend I'm single... Since I'm a nice moral lady (don't drink & never had sex till I was married, been married to my hubby just once & we've been faithful 15 yrs) no sex on the date, no drinking & not too forward on the date (But we do kiss!) http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
He comes to get me early so we can have lots of time! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I have on bellbottom pants & one of those hippie gauzy style shirts or either a button front polyester shirt. (I hate dressing up LOL!) Freddie has on his suit with the blue velvet suit coat. When he picks me up I jokingly say "Who Died? You're all dressed up." He asks me if I think he's over dressed & I say No I'm just joking & we laugh.
We go out to eat & eat at a Mexican Restaurant cuz Freddies Hispanic. I get a diet soda & he gets a small glass of wine & promises he'll have only one glass since he's the driver. We talk while eating the tortilla chips & dinner.
After dinner we go out to a movie. It's KISSING COUSINS with Elvis in it cuz Jack Albertson is in it. At the movies I am afraid he might hold hands & am scared. He starts to hold my hand. I am scared but like it. All nite he is a perfect Gentleman. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
After the movie, he wants to go check out some comic friend of his at a comedy club so we go there. I laugh at the funny jokes & Freddie laughs too. After that is over he takes me to meet his comic friend & we talk awhile. Mainly Freddie & him while I watch starstruck.
Next, he wants to go out dancing so we do. He is a great dancer but I'm not. The place plays rock & roll from the 60's & 70's. We dance seperately & cheek to cheek both too. We slow dance to OH GIRL by the CHI-LITES...
After that he wants to go out for a ride. So we go riding & end up at an Inspiration Point type place with a beautiful view. We talk for a very long time. I am soo shy & he notices it & tells me don't be so shy it's just Freddie here. After a very long time of talking, he starts to kiss me. He takes it easy with me knowing I'm not too keen on guys who are too forward. We just kiss & that's plenty for me cuz he is a great kisser. We kiss along time & hold hand really sweet.
He later takes me to his place to show me around. We hang out there along time.
Finally it is time to take me home. When we get back to my place we sit in the car long time talking & later he winds up kissing me again for along time. When it is time for him to leave it is so sad. He had tears in his eyes & is about to cry. I think it is so sweet. He walks me to the door & makes sure I get in okay. He looks at me with that sad tearful look again.
After he gets back to his place, he calls me to let me know he's made it back home okay & we wind up talking along time & making another date. By then it is well after 6 am... I had a great nite! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Luckymama58 05-26-2001, 06:52 AM Cheryl, honey, what a sweet date! He's such a gentleman! We are very much alike about our morals, I see, only I have been married to the same guy for 21 years!LOL.. Still, this opportunity for a little fantasy is a lot of fun. Freddie is a great date. We talked about another over the phone, so stay tuned for more. It is the memorial day weekend, and I love to spend the holidays camping!(hint!) http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif
Pitooey 05-26-2001, 10:43 AM I have to admit I enjoyed all the stories.... So here is a version of mine.
My story takes place in New York City. The time is 7:00 PM. Freddie rings the doorbell and I answer the door. He is dressed in a Navy velvet suit. His hair is shiny and he smells of Polo. I'm dressed in a beautiful white clingy dress with beautiful white open toed shoes. My hair is long and loose and flowing. He tells me "Looking good" and we kiss each other on the cheek. I grab my purse and Freddie takes my arm and says "My carriage awaits" and outside is a beautiful black limo with a driver waiting for us.
We go to the "Top of the Tower" to feast on Lobster and champagne. Freddie feeds me lobster dipped in butter. I in turn do the same. We are laughing like school kids.
When you are sitting at "The top of the tower" You see all the twinkling lights of New York City and it looks breathtaking. Freddie points out the tall ships and the famous bridges. We are drinking more champagne and then we look into each other's eyes. Beautiful music is playing and Freddie says "Lets dance to this slow song". I stand and we dance to the beautiful music. After the song is finished we drink a little more champagne and Freddie says "lets leave"..... He motions for the waiter and pays the bill. He grabs my hand and sweeps me to the elevator. In the elevator we have our arms around each others waist. I can still smell Freddies Polo...........
Freddie motions to the limo driver that we've arrived and he tells the driver to take us to the East side. While entering the limo there is a dozen red roses awaiting me. I tell Freddie "Oh they're beautiful and take a whiff" He tells me "Beautiful flowers for a beautiful lady"......... We leave the limo and there is a helicopter awaiting us there. We board the helicopter and it goes up, up, up........ I cling to Freddie. As he holds me tight he is pointing out the Statue of Liberty, The World trade Center. The Empire State building.......... At this point I have tears in my eyes because everything seems so magical and breath taking. I look at Freddie and he kisses me on the lips.
We depart the helicopter and Freddie tells the limo driver to take us to his place.......................
When Freddie opens the door I step into a beautiful bright open room with a fire place burning in the corner. Freddie takes off his jacket and puts on soft music. Freddie tells me I love soft jazz. He serves us 2 glasses of champagne and we clink the glasses and wrap our arms in toast. I look into his eyes and we kiss again (this time a little longer kiss). I tell Freddie that I better leave and he says "Ave Maria Purisima"! and makes me laugh.
Freddie puts his jacket back on and tells the limo driver to take us to her place. Once we arrive, Freddie tells me "Give me the roses, I'll hold them" while I search my white beaded bag for the keys. I fumble to take my keys out of my white beaded bag and Freddie is laughing and cracking jokes. When I open the door I tell Freddie to come inside. He does........ We both start to kiss again & I'm thinking (Should I or shouldn't I)? At this point Freddie looks into my eyes and says "I don't want to take advantage of this situation so I'll leave now. If I don't I might just stay. I had a wonderful night with you Carrina and I hope to have many, many more beautiful nights with you". I give Freddie a kiss on the cheek and tell him until next time sweetheart............ He turns around and I give him a wink.... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif He gives me his big smile and runs back to me............ We kiss in front of my door for what seems an eternity. Then he just turns around and walks away...............................
Vicki39 05-26-2001, 11:28 AM Well, Tracy, it's kind of hard to think about this because I do have a boyfriend who I love very much. To be honest if I could have a date with Freddie Prinze, I would want him to come and pick me up, and take me to a nice place for dinner. I would just want to spend the evening getting to know each other. I would love for him to tell me everything about himself. I think on first dates people should really talk and get to know one another. Then, I would like for him to take me home, give me a kiss goodnite, AND ASK IF HE COULD SEE ME AGAIN!!! YES!!!
Luckymama58 05-26-2001, 12:07 PM As promised. Date #2
It's the Memorial day weekend, and I convince Freddie that a weekend in the mountains would be just the way to spend a wonderful weekend together. We drive up to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. My parents have a cabin on a lake up there. We unload the provisions from the car. As I fix us both some lunch, Freddie decides to change into his cutoffs for a dip in the lake. We take our lunch out on the deck that over looks the lake. After lunch, Freddie cleans up while I change into my black one piece swimsuit. I ask him to put sunscreen on my back, since I burn easy. He does this with such smooth, loving motions, I wonder if we will actually make it to the water! I offer to put some on him, but he tells me he doesn't need any, since he never burns that bad. With towels around our necks, we saunter down the path to the lake shore beach, hand in hand. I enter the water slowly, dipping my toes in to feel the temperature. It still is a little cold, since it is early in the season. Freddie is all macho and runs past me and dives right in. Coming up for air, he proclaims the water is freezing and begs me to join him to keep him warm. I can't resist that line, so I brave the cold water and dive in after him. Swimming out to him helps my body adjust to the temperature. We horse around in the water for a while. Then he swims in to the shore to get the inner tubes my parents keep in a shed by the beach. Bringing me one and getting in the other, we spend a lazy afternoon, floating, talking and holding hands, stealing a kiss now and then as our heads drift close to each other. After many hours that only seem like minutes, we swim to shore. We have fun taking turns drying each other off. I race him up the hill to the house. He beats me, of course! We then go about deciding what we want for dinner. He offers to grill steaks, and I make a tossed salad. Bringing the salad and the plates to the deck table, he blows me a kiss from the grill. He is wreathed in the smoke from the cooking steaks. I go back inside to get the wine coolers and when I return to the deck, the steaks are done and Freddie has set the table. By the light of the setting sun and the glow of the citronella candle on the checkered clothed table, we eat our dinner and talk over plans for tomorrow's activities!
(More to come later!) http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Pitooey 05-26-2001, 08:55 PM Tracy - I like this "ALOT"........... LOL
Luckymama58 05-26-2001, 09:27 PM Date 2: (cont.)
As the sun sets, the air gets a chill and we decide to go inside. Freddie starts to build a fire in the fireplace while I clean up the supper things. As Freddie gets the fire nice and hot, I get the guitars we brought and hand Freddie his. We have fun singing and playing our favorite tunes. I start "American Pie", and Freddie joins in. We laugh so hard as we try to remember all the words, we mess it up and have to stop. He then plays me a romantic Spanish love ballad and I melt listening to his lilting tenor voice. After several hours of playing and singing together, we decide it is late and we have a big day planned for tomorrow. Freddie puts his guitar away and takes me in his arms and (the morals police has sensored the next few pages as being too sexually explicit for these boards! LOL)
See you in the morning! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Luckymama58 05-27-2001, 08:27 AM Date #2 the next morning:
The sun filters through my window as I arise to a new day. Getting up and throwing my robe on, I head out to the kitchen to make coffee for Freddie and me. As I pass Freddie's bedroom door, I knock but get no answer. He must really be tired. I decide to let him sleep in since it was very late when we kissed goodnight and went to our seperate rooms ( http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/tongue.gif on the morals police). In the kitchen I am surprised to find Freddie coming in the back door with a armload of wood. He kisses me good morning as he passes and puts the wood in the box by the fireplace. He has been up earlier than I! We make breakfast and I get changed for the day's activities. As I am changing, Freddie fixes lunch and packs our napsacks for our hike up the nearby mountain. It takes us the better part of the morning to reach the top of the mountain, but the view is worth the hours on the trail. I spread the blanket we brought with us on the grass near the edge and we sit and eat the delicious lunch Freddie prepared, deli sandwiches, pickles, and hard boiled eggs with lemonade to drink. I grab an apple for dessert and lay down to watch the clouds go by in the sky. Freddie lays down beside me and we try to see pictures in the clouds. We cuddle and kiss, but are soon asleep beside one another. Exausted from the hike and full from the lunch, we take about an hours siesta. When we wake up, we pack up the picnic things and head down the mountain. Because we are both tired when we get back to the cabin, we decide to shower and change for an evening in the little town nearby. We eat at a little family style resturant in town and spend the rest of the evening looking in quaint shops. A band starts to play in the town square and people start to dance. Grabbing my arm, Freddie drags me to the middle of the crowd and we dance almost every dance. When it gets really dark, the crowd sits on the lawn and the fireworks begin. Freddie and I oh and ah with everyone else. After the show we go to the ice cream parlor for a double dip. The evening proves to be a full one. On the trip home we make plans to spend the next day on our private beach before we need to head home. It has been a perfect weekend! At my door at home, Freddie kisses me goodbye. He tells me that the weekend away would not have been his first choice of things to do, but he really got some well needed rest and had fun not being in the fast lane for a change. He says we'll have to do that again sometime. He tells me he'll call me and says "Hasta luega!" The End!

GET OUT OF MY GARAGE!!!
catcopy18 05-27-2001, 10:19 PM My date with Freddie would be very simple.
Freddie would fly me to California where he'd greet me wearing his incredibly sexy navy blue velvet jacket. He and I would get in his cute little BMW and Freddie would show me all the places he loved to go and tell me wonderful stories about all of those placed.
He'd show me where he recorded CATM and where he did his comedy gigs. He'd take me to the house he bought for his parents and introduce me to Maria. She'd tell me all about Freddie growing up with a lot of personal input from Freddie himself. Freddie would show me his guitar, his drums
and all the things that made him happy as he was growing up. Freddie and I would then hop on his personal plane and fly to New York where he'd show me all the places that were so important to him as a child. All the time he was telling me about his life I'd be watching his beautiful eyes light up with joy and see the enchanting, sexy smile
that would come over him. We would stop at a quiet little restaurant that he picked out and he'd tell me all about his cares and concerns and he would know that I was listening with all my heart. Our night would end with him thanking me for listening and letting him talk about all the things in life that he cared about. As he put me on the place to come home, he would hold me tight for a while and kiss me passionately.
I would hate to say good-bye but I knew he had his life there and that I had my life waiting at home for me in Indiana. Maybe we'd see each other again some day!

EdBrownJr 05-28-2001, 12:15 AM Ed Jr's & Freddie's Adventure In The VIP Room Of A Strip Club*******************
Ok so me and Freddie are relaxing in these big leather chairs and these very beautiful nude exotic dancers are dancing for us. There where like 4 dancers for each of us. Freddie went off with the 4 girls and said he would meet up with me later in the limo. Then i was cornered by these 4 exotic nude strippers and the one women who was the leader takes my hat off and pushes herself on me and says Mr Brown Jr i want you to come into my garage!!! Now since i dont like to turn down inviations i obeyed and went into her garage and it was magnificant i never saw a garage like hers before. She had a nice garage what could i say. GET OUT OF MY GARAGE!!!
catcopy18 05-30-2001, 10:19 PM My second date with "the Prinze":
Freddie phoned me over the weekend and wanted me to meet him again because he was feeling "low" and needed someone to listen to him and "cheer him up". Well, I hopped on a plane and met him in Las Vegas. I watched him do one of his terrific comedy skits and then I joined him back stage in his dressing room. He seemed glad to see me because he held me close for what seemed an eternity (I loved it!) We left Ceasars
Palace through a back exit and got into his private limosine and we went to several other hot spots. Freddie introduced me to a few other celebrity/friends that were in Las Vegas that night. Freddie then invited me to come back to his hotel for the evening (and I unhesitatingly agreed). The rest of the night is PRIVATE!!!! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Tracy-Prinze 05-31-2001, 07:04 PM Hello CatCopy,

Tracy-Prinze 06-01-2001, 04:25 AM I don't why my story has not posted yet, hopefully it will be posted later today. I hope so because it took me a long time to work on it.
Tracy-Prinze 06-01-2001, 02:50 PM This message may repeat. I see that my "Dating Freddie Prinze" story did NOT post, so that only means that I will have to re-post it. I will re-post it later tonight.
Tracy-Prinze 06-02-2001, 04:19 AM Date number one: Tracerella and her Prinze Charming
I spent the whole day washing the windows, ironing, dusting, vacuuming, washing dishes, laundry, swating flies, mopping, sweeping, polishing the furniture, sewing clothes, and, spraying air freshner.
The telephone rang and it was my Prinze Charming Freddie.
Luckymama58 06-02-2001, 09:03 AM Tracy likes telling it in saga form. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif That's ok but just don't keep us in suspence too long! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif
Catcopy, I understand, some things are very private when it comes to Freddie! I might be ready for another date soon myself, but I have been enjoying reading everyone elses, even Crazy Eddie over there! LOL http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Pitooey 06-02-2001, 10:27 AM Tracy - Don't leave us in suspense too long. I might go on another date with Freddie again. I can't wait. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Tracy-Prinze 06-02-2001, 02:24 PM Sorry everyone I Post the whole entire story but it did not post, so I thought I will break it up. Hopefully the rest of the story will post. I will post a little later today.
Tracy-Prinze 06-03-2001, 03:57 AM Date number one: Tracerella and her Prinze Charming Continues:
Freddie called to say that he was on his way over to pick me up and take me to his apartment. So after I hung up the phone, I quickly took a shower and got dressed in something a little sexy.Once he arrived, we left in his car. He was dressed in a blue shirt and some tight white pants. His shirt was opened down to about the fourth button, I could see his smooth baby skin and his hair was still wet and shiny.
Tracy-Prinze 06-03-2001, 03:30 PM Date number one: Tracerella and her Prinze Charming continues
Once we arrived at Freddie's apartment,he unlocked the door and told me to my make myself confortable because this is going to be an enjoyable evening. He put on Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get On" dims the light and lights the candles and he opens a bottle of champagne, the champagne splashes every where, so Freddie says "can you mop this up?" and I said sure and I did. We sat on the sofa gazing into each others eyes when Freddie says I'll be back my darling, I'm going to the kitchen to get a couple of bowls for our strawberries. When Freddie came back to the livingroom he said "I forgot to wash the dishes "can you wash a couple of bowls?" and I said sure and I did. I returned to the livingroom and sat by Freddie again and he put his strong arms around me when he hears a strange noise coming from the livingroom window, he jumps up, looks out the window and says "this window is dirty I can't see a thing "can you clean this window for me?" and I said sure and I did, as he turned around suddenly and snagged his button off his shirt on something and he said Oh! look at this, hey baby "can you sew this button on my shirt?" and I said "sure" and I did. We got back into our romantic mood, so Freddie start a fire in the fireplace, what a lovely fire it was, he brought out the marshmellows to roast in the fire but the smoke lit up the livingroom, Freddie said "I forgot to clean the chimney" "can you clean the chimney for me" and I said "sure" and I did. Then he noticed a strong smell coming from the kitchen, he went to look and said "I haven't taken out the garbage for a week, and now the flies are around the garbage", so Freddie said "can you spray some air freshner and swat these flies" and I said "sure" and I did. We began dancing when we heard a ring coming from the kitchen Freddie said, Oh the dryer has stopped and went to get the clothes and he came back and said honey "can you iron these clothes for me?" and I said sure and I did.
[This message has been edited by Tracy-Prinze (edited 06-03-2001).]
Tracy-Prinze 06-03-2001, 05:06 PM Then I came back into the livingroom to sit by freddie once again, when he got up to turn on the television, he noticed the screen was dusty, and he asked me "can you dust my TV" and I said "sure" and I did,so we began to watch "Gone with the Wind", he had his arms around me and I was stroking his beautiful long hair when Freddie said "we need something to munch on", so he had went to the kitchen and opened a bag of pretzels,as he opened it, the pretzels fell on the carpet, Freddie said "Look what I just did, "can you vacuum this for me"? and I said "sure" and I did. I sat back down next to Freddie, laid my head on his shoulders and he was rubbing my arms with his soft hands when he remembered he forgot to start the other load of clothes, so freddie said "can you do my laundry"? and I said "sure" and I did. We wasn't paying too much attention at the TV, we were so happy to be together that we were smiling at one another, he said to me "I am so glad that you are here, you the only one for me", and then he said "I forgot to pick the trash off the kitchen floor" "can you sweep up the trash"? and I said "sure" and I did. Once I finished sweeping, Freddie said "darling I have a gift for you", so he got up off the sofa and went over to a table to get the gift box when he noticed the furniture wasn't polished, so Freddie said "I can't believe this, look at how dull this furniture is" "can you polish my furniture"? and I said "sure" and I did. Once we left the apartment, I was sitting in the car opening my gift and I noticed the box was empty and I told Freddie "there's no gift in here" and Freddie said "Oh my goodness I forgot to pick up the gift, let's stop by the jewlery store to pick up your gift, now Tracy when we arrive at the store,"can you go in and pick up gift?" and I said "sure" and I did because I'll do ANYTHING for my prinze charming. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Tracerella and her Prinze Charming
THE END
Stayed tuned for another adventure date with Freddie Prinze but who's next?
[This message has been edited by Tracy-Prinze (edited 06-03-2001).]
MariposaLKB 06-03-2001, 05:19 PM My date with Freddie would be to take him to the fall festival we have here in our town in the middle of October, kind of like a county fair with rides, food, games, etc. I would love to watch him experience a change of season from sunny California for the first time in a while, small town life for the first time ever. I can just see the autumn sun in his beautiful hair and his long sexy legs running through fallen leaves! He would win me prizes at the games, we would eat pumpkin pie and dip our fingers in the whipped cream and feed it to each other! We would ride the same horse on the carousel and use the spinning of the pumpkin ride as an excuse to throw ourselves at each other! After dark each night there is a parade and you have to stand very close to your date to keep warm, so he would stand behind me and wrap his long, strong arms around me, nuzzle my neck and rest his head on mine. When the parade was over we would walk around the downtown some more under the lights, with Freddie buying me any souvenirs I wanted (preferably something personalized with our names and the year), and maybe he would perform (comedy and/or singing) on the stage in the middle of downtown. Since the festival lasts four days, I imagine we would get together there each day, which would give us plenty of time to get to know each other and work up to taking a long drive in the country (in his van) to find a place to be completely alone, at which time this date becomes off limits to the rest of you! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

WHO IS NEXT FREDDIE IS WAITING?
catcopy18 06-04-2001, 11:24 PM I wondered why Freddie's apartment was soooo
neat, clean and organized when we went back there for a little "hanky-panky". He told me we would now have lots of time for "lovin" because his apartment was already cleaned up from top to bottom!
Now I know why. Thank you Tracy! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

NOW WHO'S NEXT???????
MariposaLKB 06-05-2001, 01:57 PM Tracy, the festival lasts four days and we went to all four, so that would qualify as four dates, wouldn't it?
Tracy-Prinze 06-05-2001, 03:51 PM Sorry Mariposa, that only qualifies as one GIGANTIC date. LOL LOL Freddie is waiting to be shown another great time. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
MariposaLKB 06-05-2001, 03:55 PM I gotcha, Tracy! I think I am fully recovered from the activities of the four-day date by now (after all that was in October LOL!), so I will see what else I can come up with in this podunk place for Freddie and me to do!
Pitooey 06-05-2001, 07:28 PM I am enjoying reading all these date stories. I wish they were real........ (dreamland) http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
catcopy18 06-06-2001, 05:40 PM Don't you feel you know Freddie/Chico a little more personally since most of us have been telling each other about our dates and our outings with him? I used to feel like he was so mysterious and distant when I first started watching CATM but since we discuss him so much every day, I feel like I really know him!!!!! After reading his mother's book I feel like that even more!!!!!! I still can't get enough tho!!!!
Cheryl Harrell 06-07-2001, 12:53 AM Thanks to these boards & maria book, I fell like I know him even thos I never did... IT's helped me to get into him more...

Tracy-Prinze 06-07-2001, 02:14 AM Who is going to be Freddie's next date?
He is waiting.
His apartment is clean, so whomever goes out with him next, does not have to clean the apartment, Tracerella took care of that. (LOL) (LOL).
Tracy-Prinze 06-07-2001, 10:20 PM WHO IS NEXT?
Our beloved Freddie is waiting for a date.
Okay first timers(LOL) Freddie is waiting (LOL) I think he is going to cry. Now we can't have our sweetie sad. NEXT (LOL)
Luckymama58 06-08-2001, 06:46 AM Oh Tracy, we can't have our man looking sad, so here is my next date!
Freddie has had a long week of work, so I decide a night home at my place would be just the thing to help him relax. We would start the evening by my fixing him one of my famous home cooked Italian dinners, linguini with clam sauce, tossed green salad with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing, garlic sticks, a bottle of imported chanti, and for dessert, a chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Full from such a delicious dinner, we would retire to the living room to sit on the sofa and watch one of Freddie's favorite movie characters, Zorro, in "The Mark of Zorro" with Tyrone Power. He would really get into the movie, getting up and fencing around my living room, pretending to fight the bad guys with his imaginary sword, defending my honor. He would have me laughing so hard that it would send him into a fit of laughter and we would collapse on the sofa in a fit of the giggles. When the romantic parts come on, he would take me in his long strong arms and reenact those passionate kisses with me as his leading lady. As the movie comes to an end, he would look deep into my eyes with those large, dark expressive eyes of his and whisper to me "Dejame quedar contigo este noche?" to which I would reply "Si!"

Pitooey 06-08-2001, 08:34 AM Looking Good!!!
Oh Luckymama that food sounds so good,

Luckymama58 06-09-2001, 08:08 AM De De I always make plenty (it's the Italian way! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif) so I have some leftovers for you and anyone else who would like them. I'm sure the only leftovers I have are of the food variety, though http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif Freddie, on the other hand, is a little tired after last night! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif He just left here this morning and he should be rested by tonight for the next date with one of our luck posters! Ok ladies and gentlemen, who's next? http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Tracy-Prinze 06-11-2001, 03:55 PM Hey Luckymama, What a nice date you and freddie had. The food sound so good, you made freddie feel so nice and relaxed, I know he will be waiting for another date from you very soon. (LOL)
We may have to draft someone to go out with Freddie. (LOL) What we can do is, let's take a vote. Who would you like to see go out on a date with Freddie? And the one with the most votes CANNOT SAY NO! So let's start with the FIRSTIMERS. (LOL)(LOL) Let the votes begin. Remember Freddie is crying hard for a date, we cannot have our baby crying. (LOL)
Pitooey 06-11-2001, 08:04 PM Okay, Okay ........
Time for another date with Freddie!
Freddie rings my bell. I am wearing black shorts and a red top with short sleeves. I also have black sandals on. Freddie is wearing his blue bell bottom jeans and his burgundy shirt! I ask Freddie... Where are we going? Freddie says Lets go to the amusement park! Okay...... Let's go! We leave my house and I lock my door when I turn around Freddie grabs my chin and gives me a big kiss on the cheek. He says - This is for being one fine looking FOX!!
We jump into a white convertable with beige bucket seats. Freddie takes the wheel and we drive off to the amusement park. Freddie turns on the radio and we are listening to Ricky Martin singing Living La vida loca.... Freddie hums along. As he's driving I look at him. His jet black hair is just flying in the breeze. My long hair is also flying. His lips are full and ruby red..... We're both wearing sunglasses and we both look cool. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/cool.gif
Freddie finds parking and we head to the park. We hear people screaming because they are on the roller coaster. Freddie grabs my arm and he says lets go on this ride.... I tell him I'm afraid and he whispers to me Don't be afraid baby I'll hold on to you.... We get on the last car.... I sit down and this fear just sweeps over me. Freddie looks at me and he can tell that I'm deathly afraid. He holds me tight, Just like he said he would. He kisses me full on the lips before the ride begins and I start to feel safe in his arms. The roller coaster starts moving and I'm holding him tight. I close my eyes and I hear Freddie saying YEA!!! This is Great! WOOOOO HOOOOO........ Baby this is fun isn't it? I say UH HUH..... The ride is whipping us violently up and down and all around........... Freddie is in 7th heaven enjoying the ride. Then the ride comes to a halt. He gets out first and then he takes my hand like a gentleman. He leads me away from the ride. I'm still a little nervous and unsteady on my feet but, Freddie is holding my waist. Freddie says... I love that ride. It's one of my favorites....
After that Freddie wants to play baseball so he can try to win me a big panda bear. He pays the man and he hits baseballs until he wins me one of the big panda bears. I am so happy he won me this.... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Freddie kisses me on the lips and tells me. You are my girl!!!!
We go to one of the eateries in the amusement park and he orders fried fantail shrimps with tartar sauce, clams on the half shell and corn on the cob..... We also drink a couple of beers. I can really see that he's having fun because when I look into his eyes they are just dancing. We drink a couple of beers. He also buys me some cotten candy. He then heads for the ice cream next door and he offers me ice cream. I tell him I'd rather have a jelly apple with coconut on it, so he buys himself a chocolate cone with chocolate sprinkles. We go back to the place where he bought the cotten candy and he buys me the jelly apple.
After sitting on a bench, we finish off some of the treats and watch the sun go down.... He tells me Lets go to the bumper cars! We run to the bumper cars and he sits in one car while I sit in another and he starts chasing me and I'm running away and banging into the walls and to other cars with people in them all of a sudden he catches me and BAM he bangs me. I start laughing and my car turns around and this time I'm chasing him and I bang him, and bang him and bang him. Then the ride stops. What fun!
Freddie tells me lets go home now and I agree holding my big panda bear that now I've called Freddie.
Freddie starts to drive really fast because he wants to go to my place...........
He parks the white convertible and he follows me to the entance to my home. While I'm opening the door he starts to tickle my sides and I'm cracking up. I tell him Stop it! He tells me NO!
I walk in the door and he's right behind me. I look at him and he looks at me and we kiss for what seems like..........
I have my arms wrapped around his neck and I look up at him and tell him I had a wonderful time. He says me too but, this is just the beginning.....
He picks me up and carries me up the stairs to my bedroom like I'm Scarlet from Gone with the wind........
The End....... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

luvinjuan1980 06-30-2001, 07:10 PM Hey everyone, http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Freddie called me a couple nights ago http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
he had this great idea. For our first date, let's tour as many theme parks on the east and west coast as we can. I said that might take longer than a night. Do you think we can do that? He said, Baby, when you're with Freddie, you can do anything.
We finished our talk and then he came to pick me up a half hour later.
I asked him about sleep and he said. Don't worry about that, we'll sleep on the plane.
I got us a private jet. Where do you want to go first? I thought about it for awhile and I said Great Adventure in South Jersey.
So we flew down to Philadelphia and got a limo over to Jersey. When we got there, the guy running the admission booth noticed Freddie and we got in free. The first ride we got on was a huge roller coaster. I didn't want to go on because it was up to high but he talked me into it. He said that he wouldn't let anything bad happen to me.
We rode that coaster 3 times. I wanted to go a 4th time but he wanted to go on some different rides. I gave him puppy dog eyes and we went on the coaster one more time.
After that, we went on the octopus, the scrambler, and all the rest of the rides.
after that, we were starved so we hit all the food places and the arcades. He won a ton of stuffed animals for me. I don't know how we fit them in the limo. I don't know how we got them to the limo. When we were done there, We went to Coney Island. I had never been there, Well halfway through the park, Freddie and I had second thoughts about the great american amusement park tour. So we flew back to Los Angeles and took a walk along the beach and talked about all the fun we had on the rides. He asked me if i was feeling better because I didn't handle the cyclone too well at Coney Island.
We sat on the beach and watched the sunset.
It got cold and we went back to his place and he made me some dry toast and chamomille tea to settle my stomach. We sat on the couch and watched an episode of his show and part of Rockford Files. Around 10pm, he said that he had to leave and get some sleep because he had some stuff to do the next day. I walked to his car with him and he kissed me under the moonlight. He stroked my hair and I hugged him tight. We waved as he drove off. I walked into the house, plopped on the couch and smiled as i relived the events of our fun first date.

Luckymama58 07-15-2001, 07:39 AM THE DATING CONTEST** PART 1
Marie came running into her dorm room breathless, but yelling, “It’s here, it’s here. I can’t believe it came”, and waving a long white envelope. Sue and Angie were sitting on their beds working on homework when Marie came bursting in. “What came?” they asked almost in unison. “The results of the contest I entered,” came the reply. Angie rolled her eyes. “I can’t believe you actually sent that in. Wasn’t that for teenagers?” “It didn’t have an age limit and besides, what is HE going to appreciate more, a date with some pimply faced fourteen year old or a date with a sophisticated 20 year old like me!” Sue saw that the letter was unopened. “Didn’t you open it yet? Maybe you are getting your hopes up for nothing. It could be a notification that you didn’t win, you know!” Marie’s face fell. “Nooo, they wouldn’t do that to me, would they? They wouldn’t sent out rejection notices to everyone who entered, that would cost too much in postage. It has to be notification that I won.” Marie handed the letter to Sue. “You open it. I can’t stand it. Tell me what it says.” Sue took the letter from Marie’s shaking hand. “Ok, ok, calm down.” She gently tore the end of the envelope and extracted a long, legal looking letter from the inside. “It says, ‘Tiger Beat Magazine wishes to inform you that you have won the Win a Date With Freddie Prinze Contest. You and two of your friends will be our guests in Los Angeles for a week. You will be receiving details of your trip in subsequent letters. Please fill out the enclosed form, so we can process your trip as soon as possible. Thank you for being a loyal Tiger Beat reader.’ O my God, Marie, you really did win!” “Give it here! O my God, I won, I won!” Marie danced around the room. Angie tore the letter from Marie’s hand as she passed her bed. “Let me see that!” Angie quietly read the whole letter including the fine print. “It says here you are allowed to take two people with you. I guess if you were a minor, your parents would have to go, but since you are ALMOST 20, Miss Sophisticated Lady, you could take your loving roomies with you!” Angie grinned at Marie, who picked up a pillow and threw it at her for the almost 20 crack. “I know I won’t actually be 20 for a few months yet, but still, I’m closer to his age than most of the contestants, I’ll wager. “Which probably makes you the OLDEST loyal Tiger Beat reader,” giggled Sue, taking up the teasing that Angie started. Marie launched another missile at Sue. “You know I don’t usually read that tripe, but when I saw Freddie’s picture on the cover, I had to have it!” Marie grabbed a third pillow and fell on her bed, strangling it in a bear hug. “Mmmm, can you picture Freddie and I at a fancy French restaurant, drinking
wine and making eyes at one another across the table!” “Cinderella! Wake up. You need to fill out this form first, or you’re not going anywhere.” Angie handed the form and the letter back to Marie. “You still didn’t answer me. Can Sue and I come to California with you?” “Sure, I wouldn’t dream of leaving my best buds home. Just keep your mitts off of Freddie.” “Oh, I don’t think you will have any competition there,” added Sue. “You know Angie and I have only a mild interest in that Puerto Rican mechanic. Now if he could set me up with another good looking star.....” “Me too, me too,” Angie chimed in. “Ok, ok,” giggled Marie. I’ll see if he knows anyone who will be willing to go out with a couple of DESPERATE college co-eds!” With that last remark, a full scale pillow fight war started.

Luckymama58 07-16-2001, 08:15 AM THE DATING CONTEST**PART 2
Marie, Sue and Angie arrived at LAX and were taken to the Los Angeles Hilton in a stretch limo. At the Hilton, they were given a suite complete with meals and passes to all the popular tourist sites in the Los Angeles area. Since Angie was 21, she was given the use of a rental car for the week as well. The girls knew they were going to have a fun time, but Marie was beside herself with anticipation about meeting Freddie. The form the magazine sent to her asked her where she would like to spend her time with Freddie and her friends talked her into putting down Disneyland. Marie was reluctant, saying it might seem too juvenile, but they convinced her by pointing out that they were also invited on this “date” and if they went to Disneyland they promised to stay out of her hair and leave the two of them to themselves, since there was plenty for Sue and Angie to do there. Day one was spent getting aquatinted with the people from the magazine and getting prepped for the date which would occur on day two. Marie was treated to a shopping trip and a makeover, complements of Tiger Beat. Then the publicity people explained all of the rules and procedures for the date. Being that the magazine was paying for this, Marie had to accept the fact that her date was not going to be as private an affair as she would have liked. Freddie was a star and the magazine would feature the date in an upcoming issue. When the girls heard about the reporter and camera man assigned to cover the date from start to finish, Sue and Angie were glad they had picked a place where they could make themselves scarce for a while. They, too, would have to be in part of the story, but the PR people agreed that they would not have to stick around the whole time. Marie was beginning to get really nervous by that night. She had a hard time going to sleep and kept bugging her friends with questions on how she should act around the big star. “Look, Marie,” said Sue, “Just be your sweet self. I’m sure Freddie will appreciate the sincere and honest approach.” “Yea,” chimed in Angie, “And whatever you do, don’t go all gushing fan on him. You want to impress him? Then treat him like a person and he might see past all of this magazine publicity stuff. I’m sure he is going to be as nervous about this as you are. I don’t know why big stars like him agree to this. That has always been a mystery to me!” “I think it’s probably asked of them by their publicity managers. You know, the more you promote your star the more popular they become and the higher the TV ratings they can get,” remarked Marie. Sue added, “ I know this sounds a little cynical, but I guess you are both being manipulated by the system. I’m sure he is a uncomfortable about that as you are, so let him know how much you like him as a person and not just a star and you just might hit it off. Always remember you are about the same age, and who knows where that could lead?” Marie smiled at the thought of this date turning into something more, but she knew she shouldn’t get her hopes up about that. She was finally able to drop off to sleep thinking about the fun she would have tomorrow. It made for wonderful dreams that night!

Luckymama58 07-16-2001, 10:54 PM THE DATING CONTEST ** PART 3
Marie could hardly get herself ready the next morning, she was so nervous. She had picked out a nice pair of black jeans and a tank top with rainbow colors in it. As she put her makeup on, she stepped back from the mirror for the full effect. “God, I hope he likes me.” Angie and Sue looked over from the bed and told her not to worry. The magazine sent a limo over to pick up the girls promptly at 8 am. Sara Rogers, the writer assigned to the contest, gave Marie last minute instructions. “Remember to smile and be polite. Freddie is a sweet guy and a good sport for doing this for us. I got the inside scoop that he doesn’t care for fans to call him by his character’s name. Just relax and address him as Mr. Prinze, unless he tells you otherwise. You look very pretty today and I’m sure you will have a good time with him. Above all, and I know this is very hard, but try to ignore the cameras and act like we are not here. We want natural looking pictures to print in the magazine. Remember, you are living out millions of loyal readers’ fantasies today.” Sara’s smile did nothing to relieve the queasy feeling in Marie’s stomach. The limo arrived at the park and Freddie came up to the door and opened it for Marie and her friends. “Welcome to sunny California, Ms. Peters and to your two lovely friends!” Marie blushed a little as Freddie took her hand and raised it up to his lips for a gentle kiss on the back of it. Remembering her manners and finding her voice, Marie introduced her roommates. “Mr. Prinze it is an honor to meet you. This is Angie Paulson and Sue Mansfield.” Freddie turned to each of them and said, “It is a delight to meet such pretty ladies. Please call me Freddie. Mr. Prinze is so formal.” Turning to Marie he said, “ Are you ready to have fun, my dear?” “Oh, yes. And call me Marie, please.” “You know I have a special fondness for that name, since you share it with my mother, “ remarked Freddie. “Well your mother must be a special lady to have such a handsome son!,” responded Marie. Angie elbowed her and whispered, “Remember, don’t over do it!” Freddie pretended to miss this little exchange and asked, “Where to first, ladies?” Marie thought a moment. The girls agreed to hang out together for the first few rides till the magazine let Angie and Sue go off on their own. “How about a ride on the Matterhorn first,” suggested Marie. “Yes,” chimed in the other girls in unison. “Sounds good to me,” answered Freddie. When they went to get in line for the ride, the management of the park waved them in front and they took their places in the cars, Freddie and Marie in one and Angie and Sue in the other. The ride was breathtaking, even more so for Marie who found herself being held onto really tight by Freddie! The girls and Freddie rode many other rides, always getting in the front of the lines. After about an hour, the magazine people, who never left their company, gave Angie and Sue the high sign to go and have fun on their own. Marie asked Freddie if they could go and get something to eat. Freddie took Marie to a small cafe in Adventureland. They each had ice cream and lemonade. “Are you having fun so far?, “ asked Freddie. “Oh yes, it’s been very fun,” answered Marie. “Since we are taking a break, would you mind if I found out a little more about you?,” asked Freddie. Marie tried not to choke on her lemonade. “Sure, what would you like to know?” “Well, for starters, I read that you are 19 and in college. What are you studying?,” inquired Freddie. “You read my application?,” stuttered Marie. “Sure, the magazine sent me a copy,” answered Freddie. “Oh,” said Marie. “Well, I’m studying to be a teacher some day.” “That sounds cool,” said Freddie. “Maybe you can teach me something, sometime!” He winked and flashed his big smile at her. Marie tried to keep her composure and not act like a gushing fan. “How about you,” Marie asked. “Do you enjoy acting?” Freddie answered, “It’s fun, but it is a lot of hard work too.” “Well, you make it look so easy, Marie remarked. “Thank you,” replied Freddie as he shifted the conversation back to Marie. “So how did you come to enter this contest?” Marie came really close to losing it this time. How could she answer that one and NOT sound like a gushing fan? “Well Freddie, I have to admit I really admire you and your work. I think you are very funny and very cute.” Marie blushed. She reached over and whispered in his ear so the magazine people would not hear, “I really don’t go in for these types of contests or magazines, but I took a chance on entering this one because I really wanted to get to meet you. I hoped you wouldn’t think less of me for doing this.” Freddie gave her a big smile. “No, actually I was kind of glad to see they picked some one my own age. I did think it was a little unusual, because some of the other stars that have agreed to do this for Tiger Beat have all gone out with younger girls.” “Well I wasn’t sure what you would think of me entering a contest like this at my age, but you seem like such a nice person, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try,” said Marie. “Do you still think so?,” asked Freddie as he smiled again. “That you are a nice person? Oh, absolutely. You have been very nice to me today!” Marie imitated Freddie’s smile as best as she could. He laughed and this made her giggle and blush. “You know, you don’t act the way I imagined a big star would. You are very down to earth and real. I really had doubts that this date thing was a good idea, but now I am really glad I entered the contest. Thank you for agreeing to do this. I’m sure you are a very busy person.” “I actually had my doubts, too, but I’m glad I agreed to do it now that I have met such a nice person as yourself.” Freddie reached over and whispered in Marie’s ear. “Maybe we can find a way to ditch these magazine people later and go and have some real fun, what do you say?” “Sure,” whispered Marie back at him, hardly containing the excitement she felt inside. She and Freddie and the ever present magazine people then went on some more rides. Marie especially liked the rides in the dark, like the Pirates of the Caribbean and It’s a Small World, because Freddie found ways of cuddling with her that the magazine people missed. He then took her to the castle restaurant to have a private dinner, well as private as the magazine would allow, that is. Even though the photographer and the writer were there, Freddie was able to make it a very romantic time. He kept rubbing her leg under the table with his leg and letting her know in very subtle ways that he was ready to ditch the magazine and strike out on a real date with her. After dinner, he was able to whisper something about going to the restroom and losing the followers and meeting at the Haunted House ride. The ploy worked, and Freddie and Marie were able to have some privacy at last on this ride. At one point, when the lights went out, Freddie reached over in the dark and kissed Marie gently on the lips. Marie responded by returning his kiss with one of her own. When the lights came back on, Freddie broke the kiss and asked, “How long are you going to be in LA?” “For the rest of the week, why?,” responded Marie. “How would you and your friends like to come and see the show tomorrow and then I can take you out on a real date afterwards?” Marie tried not to look like she was going to faint. “I would love it.” “Ok, then,” Freddie smiled. “I’ll have the tickets waiting at the gate for you. Be there by 9 and the guard will let you in.” When the ride was over, Freddie and Marie exited it, arm in arm. The magazine people were waiting for them. “That wasn’t such a good idea ditching us like that,” said Sara. “We looked for you but we must have gotten separated some how,” said Freddie as he winked at Marie. The rest of the date, the people stuck close to the couple. They had their pictures taken with Mickey and Minnie. Freddie kissed Minnie and made her blush. At the end of the day, they met up with Angie and Sue again and left the park. Freddie kissed Marie goodbye to the delight of the camera man. He whispered, “Till tomorrow,” in her ear as she climbed back in the limo. Marie told her friends about the day and her plans for tomorrow. They could not believe it, but were glad to be included in the trip to the TV studio. Marie had another hard time going to sleep that night, but only because she was reliving every moment in her mind.

luvinjuan1980 07-17-2001, 06:36 PM *I decided to take a different approach to dating Freddie* I kept my birthday as the real life thing.*
July 16, 2001
Dear Diary:
Another birthday, come and gone. I don't mind really, I found my old diary from the 70's and started reading one of the entries.
July 14, 1975
A couple weeks ago, I met this nice guy named Freddie Prinze. We became good friends, well he called me Saturday night and said that he wanted to take me out for my birthday.
He came to pick me up in his Mustang and took me to really nice seafood restaraunt in Santa Monica. We had lobster and steamed clams. It was great, It was also Platonic, as he is married. After the dinner, he took me to this dark place, I mean it was pitch black. He turned the lights on to reveal the set of his show "Chico and The Man" I was breathless, I could not believe I was actually on the very set of one of my favorite shows. He said he'd be right back, he was gone for 10 or 20 minutes and came out rolling a cart and a huge sheet cake followed by the rest of the cast singing Happy Birthday. You should have seen my face. My heart was beating into my throat and I felt like I was gonna faint. I couldn't believe it! Everyone was sooo nice.
Jack Albertson and Scatman Crothers were so sweet as well as Ronny Graham, Bonnie Boland.
Even Shelly Winters was there and she was alot of fun. After the party, Freddie took me back home. He walked me back to my apartment. He gave me a big hug and kissed my cheek and wished me a Happy Birthday. I'll never forget.
7-16-2001
I can't believe he's been gone 24 years. I never miss a rerun of "Chico and The Man."
it keeps his memory alive.

THE DATING CONTEST ***PART 4
The next day the three girls left in their rental car for the NBC studios in Burbank. They were glad to be rid of the magazine people and excited to see the taping of an actual TV show. Marie was the most excited, since she knew that Freddie had something wonderful planned for later that day. As they entered the lot, the guard took their names and gave them their passes and directions to the sound stage where Chico and the Man was taped. Angie parked the rental car in the lot next to the sound stage in a visitors spot. As the girls made their way to the sound stage, they spotted other stars wandering around. Inside the studio, they went up to the person checking passes and found their seats. The taping was very different from actually watching the show at home. For one, there was more of the set showing, with lights and boom mikes and cameras everywhere. Marie thought the set looked bigger, but smaller somehow, than it looked on TV. Another difference was that they had to keep stopping and starting when someone messed up. Sometime it was a flubbed line from one of the actors, but other times it was a technical foul up. The half hour show took a lot longer to actually film. Marie and her friends could see that making a TV show was a lot more involved than any of them realized. During one of the breaks in shooting, Freddie came over to the audience and shook hands and signed autographs. When he spied Marie and her friends, he came right over and kissed Marie’s hand and said, “I’m glad you three could make it. I wondered if you were here today.” “I wouldn’t have missed this for the world,” answered Marie. She turned to Angie and Sue. “Right girls?” “Oh you are so right,” Sue chimed in. “Thank you so much, Freddie, for inviting us.” “Yes,” added Angie, “It was very nice of you to invite us.” “Think nothing of it, my dears,” answered Freddie in a British accent. “Glad to do it for such charming fans!” He smiled a big smile and Marie tried very hard not to lose it. “Well I need to get back to the set.” Freddie handed Marie a piece of paper. “Show this to the stage manager,” Freddie pointed to a guy with a gray shirt and a clipboard in his hands, “and he will show you back to my dressing room after the show.” Freddie bounded down to the sound stage and exited out one of the sides of the set. As taping resumed, Marie played with the piece of paper that Freddie placed in her hand the whole time, not really concentrating on the show. The note was simple. ‘Please show this young lady and her two friends back to my dressing room after the show... Freddie’ There was some nondescript squiggle at the bottom of it that Marie guessed must be some sort of code to let the guy know it really was from Freddie. She wondered how many other people Freddie had invited back there before her. He was famous, after all, so maybe many others. She didn’t care, though. Today would be her turn.

After the taping was over the girls waited for the crowd to clear before they approached the man in the gray shirt that Freddie had pointed out to them. Marie showed him Freddie’s note and he said to them. “Follow me, please.” The girls were led back a long, narrow corridor to the dressing room area behind stage. The man knocked on a door marked ‘Freddie Prinze’. Freddie opened the door and said, “Yes?” “Freddie,” answered the guy, “Did you invite these young ladies back to your room today?” Freddie peered out of the door at Marie, Sue and Angie standing there. “No,” answered Freddie, very matter of fact. Marie’s face fell. Freddie burst out laughing. “I’m sorry! Yes, Bill, they are my guests today! Come on in. I couldn’t resist the joke. I didn’t mean to make you sad.” “That’s ok,” said Angie. “We know you like to joke around.” Then she stopped dead in her tracks. She pointed to the two other gentleman sitting on the sofa in Freddie’s dressing room. The other two girls were just as surprised. Angie started to speak. “It’s ....it’s....” Turning to Sue and Marie she continued, “Do you know who they are?” Seeing the awkwardness of the situation, Freddie made the introductions. “I would like to introduce you lovely ladies to two good friends of mine who just dropped in for a visit. Ladies, this is Robert Hegyes and Ron Pallilo, Bobby, Ron this is Marie, Angie and Sue. Robert and Ron both rose from the sofa and shook each of the girls hands. “So these are the girls from the contest?” asked Robert. “Maybe I will let that magazine use me next if this is what to expect!” He gave Sue a big smile and she blushed as he kissed her hand. Ron, not to be out done, took Angie’s hand and did likewise. “It’s so nice to meet you, lovely lady,” he told her. Freddie took Marie by the hand and led her over to the sofa and invited her to sit down. The guys all grabbed chairs for the other girls and the six sat in Freddie’s dressing room for an hour getting to know one another and exchanging jokes and stories. Finally Freddie said, “Hey, look guys, I’m starving. I was going to take Marie out for dinner and maybe dancing. Are you guys free tonight? Maybe you can take her friends and we could make it six?” Robert and Ron looked at one another and Robert said, “Sounds like fun! I’m free, what do you say, Sue, wanna go out with a desperate Puerto Rican?” Sue smiled and said, “Sure, I’d love to!” Ron turned to Angie, “Well, what kind of a gentleman would I be if I let these two ladies go somewhere with out their lovely friend? Would you do me the honor of being my date this evening, Angie?” Angie laughed, “Ooh so charming! I’d be delighted to be escorted by such a handsome gentleman.” Ron smiled and turned to Freddie and Robert. “You hear that guys, she called me charming and handsome!” “Yea, right!” laughed Freddie and Robert. “Well, let’s not stand around yacking. Let’s go eat!” said Robert. “Where to, Freddie?” “I don’t know, I was thinking about that little seafood place out in Pasadena we went to last week? How about it?” said Freddie. “Sounds great,” Robert answered and Ron nodded in agreement. “Ok, then that’s settled.” Then a frown came over his face. “My stingray won’t hold all of us,” remarked Freddie as they made their way to the parking lot. “I think the rental car we hired might fit 6?” said Angie. “Ok, then, we’ll use that. Give me your keys and I’ll drive,” said Freddie. “No!” shouted Ron. “I know the way you drive. I think I’d better do the driving if you don’t mind!” Angie smiled and handed Ron the keys. They got in the car, Ron and Angie in the front and Freddie, Marie, Sue and Robert packed tightly in the back, the girls half sitting on the guy’s laps. The restaurant wasn’t too far from the studio and traffic seemed light for that time of day. Ron drove the car to the front of the restaurant, which turned out to be fancier than any of the girls imagined it would be. None of the group was particularly dressed up, but it didn’t seem to matter to the matre di, who showed the party to a nice large semi circular booth near the corner. The dinner was wonderful. They all dined on lobster tails and had chocolate eclairs for dessert. Freddie suggested a night club the guys like to frequent as their next stop for the evening. The club was loud and had a lot of young people dancing in it. Freddie and Marie spent most of their time out on the dance floor while Ron and Angie sat talking and Robert took Sue around and introduced her to his friends at the club. When the hour was getting late, Freddie suggested that it might be time to call it a night. None of the party wanted the night to end. Driving back to the studio, Freddie asked Marie if she wanted to take a drive in his car before going home. “Sure,” answered Marie. “I don’t have to get up in the morning. But isn’t it getting late for you?” “Nah, I can stay up all night and work all day tomorrow with very little sleep,” quipped Freddie. He leaned over the front seat and said to Angie, “Mind if I steal your friend for a while? I promise to take good care of her and bring her home later!” He smiled his biggest smile. “Hey, go for it, it’s ok by me. She’s legal!” Angie kidded him back. “All right!” exclaimed Freddie. Back at the studio lot, Freddie and Marie said good night to the group and headed for Freddie’s car. Robert took Sue by the hand and said, “Hey, Ron, can Angie give you a ride home tonight? I want to take this fine young lady on a tour of the city.” Turning to Sue he said, “Whadda say, want to see the sights from the front seat of my car?” Sue answered, “Sure, I’d love to!” She winked at Angie and said, “Don’t wait up for me!” “Oh, she won’t,” Ron answered. Turning to Angie, he added, “Well it looks like you and me! Want to take a ride before you have to take me home?” “That sounds like a great idea, but make sure you show me how to get from your house to our hotel, so I won’t get lost later!” “Oh, don’t worry about that!” Ron answered. Ron waved at Robert and said, “See you tomorrow, Bobby. Have fun!” He winked at Robert who winked back and said, “Oh, we will. Nite, compadre, have fun yourself.” Robert and Sue sped off in his car and Ron and Angie headed out for their late night drive. All three girls were in for a night none of them would forget!

When Marie came in early the next day, she discovered she was the only one back. Letting herself into the room, she headed for the bathroom to change for a few hours shut eye. She was still too excited about her evening with Freddie to actually think of sleeping yet, though. As she brushed her teeth, Sue came in. “Hi, Marie, when did you get back?” “Just a few minutes before you did”, answered Marie. “How was your drive with Bobby?” Sue flopped down on the bed and in a dreamy voice said, “Wonderful!” Looking around, Sue remarked, “Angie not back yet?” “Nope, seems like I beat the both of you back.” Sue yawned. “Man I can’t wait to tell you what happened, but I’m tired and I want to tell the both of you together. Do you mind waiting to hear all about it?” Marie caught Sue’s infectious yawn and said, “That’s fine by me. I have so much to tell you all too, but it can wait till Angie gets back and we have had a few hours shut eye!” Marie climbed under the covers and Sue was not far behind her. Neither one of them heard Angie come in many hours later. When Marie finally did wake up it was about noon. Seeing both Sue and Angie still sleeping she turned on the TV and ordered room service. Slowly the other two girls woke up. “When did you get in, Angie?” was the first thing Marie asked her friend. “What time is it now?” “Noon”, answered Marie. “Well I guess about three hours ago then”, answered Angie. “What!” exclaimed Sue and Marie in unison. Sue added, “Are you telling us you were out all night with Ron!?” “Well, we weren’t exactly out all night. We spent most of it at his place,” said Angie, shyly. “Oh, My God”, exclaimed Marie. “This I have got to hear!” “Well I don’t have to go first, do I?” “Let’s draw toothpicks to see who goes first”, said Sue. She broke off three toothpicks into three different lengths and held them out. “Shortest one goes first.” She held them out and Marie picked first, followed by Angie. Sue took the one that was left. When they held them up, Sue wound up with the shortest one followed by Marie. “Well I guess I’m first” said Sue.

Luckymama58 08-10-2001, 09:13 AM THE DATING CONTEST *** PART 7
Sue cleared her throat. “Ok, well, after Bobby and I left the parking lot, we headed toward downtown LA to take a ride along Rodeo Drive. Even at 11pm, the place was all lit up. Then we decided that we had enough of the lights of LA and Bobby asked me if we had gotten to see the Pacific ocean yet. I said no, that we had been so busy with everything else. ‘Oh, you have to see it in the moonlight, it’s prettier!’ he answered. So we drove down to Malibu and found this deserted stretch of beach. He parked the car and opened the trunk and took out a blanket. We made our way down to the shoreline and he spread his blanket down and motioned for me to sit. He sat down next to me and we talked about our families and our homes. He told me about his hopes for the future in acting and I told him how I was studying to be a nurse. He laughed and said he would love an examination. Well one thing led to another and before I knew it we had most of our clothes off and were getting into things pretty heavily. He is a very passionate guy. I think he would have liked to go all the way, but something told me that what we had already done was quite far enough. After all, I didn’t know if I would ever see him again, and I want to wait till it’s the right time with the right guy who is committed to me. He was a little disappointed, but when I explained this to him, he was understanding. We watched the moon sink into the ocean and then we packed up the blanket and headed for home. He wants me to write to him and told me if I ever came out to LA again to look him up, cause he thinks I’m a special lady! He gave me the most passionate goodnight kiss I have ever had. Boy, was I tempted to take him up on finishing what we had started, but I guess I made the right decision.” Sue sighed and smiled as she remembered all the things she had shared with Robert. As she told her narrative, both Marie and Angie oooed and aahed, but didn’t say much. “Well, your next, Marie”, said Sue.

luvinjuan1980 08-12-2001, 07:56 PM It was a freakin stormy night in L.A. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/eek.gif, I was freaked out by the thunder and lightning and was hiding behind the couch with the dustbunnies.
The ringing of the phone made me jump a mile off the ground. I ran to catch it.
Me: H..h..hello?
voice: Hi Katie it's Freddie, hey what's wrong?
Me: (trying to play Ms. cool)Oh nothing at all..
Freddie: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif Uh okay I believe you.
now why don't you tell me the truth.
Me: Okay, i'm freakin man, I hate thunder and lightning
Freddie: Wan't me to come over?
Me: Uh..Yes!
Freddie: Okay, take it easy. I'll bring junk food.
He came over and just in time, the storm got worse and cut off the power. We clung to the walls as we made our way to the kitchen to find flashlights and lanterns. We brought them into the livingroom and lit them all.
It really looked pretty. We sat and talked for the longest time, We got hungry and opened a package of Doublestuff Oreos and had some nourishment. A grin across Freddie's lips http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/grineyes.gif and an evil idea was born http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/lightb.gif He reached into his back pocket and pulled out his little black book.
As he flipped through the pages, he giggled uncontrollably. I asked him what he was up to and he told me that I would soon find out.
he handed me the book and asked me to read the number out to him. I agreed. We both giggled as he dialed nudging each other the whole time. On the 3rd ring, the person picked up.
Person: (they have a cold) hulloh? ::clears throat:: who is this?
Freddie: Hey Bobby, did I wake you, this is Jimmy Komack
Robert: Yeah, you did(annoyed cause he was woken up)
Freddie: Oh sorry, Well this won't take long.
Robert: Good. what's going on.
Freddie: Ms. Roberta Lee Hathaway and I are calling on behalf of Toys for Boys and Stars Behind Bars. She's in charge of both charities and she contacted me about an hour ago, They need a celebrity spokesman for their new commercial, She wants to know if you'd be interested in it.
Robert: scuse me (puts his hand over the phone as he hacks his head off)This really isn't a great time to ask me, I'm sorta dying here...(he hears a hint of laughter and figures out what's going on)
Freddie: Hold on a sec Bobby, I got a call on the other line.
He puts Robert on hold and he and I are now rolling on the floor in uncontrollable fits of laughter. I tried to get Freddie to maintain but he was gone. So I pretended to be this woman. I pick up the receiver and start talking in a thick New York accent.
Me/Hathaway: Mr. Hegyes, I'm Roberta Lee Hathaway, Mr. Komack wanted me to talk to you.
Robert: (hears familiar laughter and figures out who it is) Well you know, I think you should get Freddie Prinze to do your commercials he's a bigger star than me.
beside's he's always been in favor of Boys behind Bars and Toys for stars. So I think you should call him and leave me alone! ::click::
Me and Freddie are again rolling on the floor. We settled down and had some pizza and other kinds of food. I had such a good time, I forgot about the storm. It was close to 1am and Freddie had to leave because he had rehearsal in the morning. He hugged me and kissed me on the lips and told me to call come down to the studio Friday and he would have a pass waiting for me. I stood outside and waved to him as he drove off into the night.

Luckymama58 08-13-2001, 12:06 PM THE DATING CONTEST*** PART 8
“O my, well, let me start by saying that I’m REALLY glad I entered this contest. Tonight was all my dreams come true and more!” Marie smiled as she recalled her evening with relish. “After we left you all in the parking lot, Freddie asked me where I would like to go. I told him I would love to see more of the ocean, so he drove to the coast and up highway 1 for a while. We talked and shared about our futures. He told me about wanting to make movies and I told him that he should, that he would be great in a romantic comedy or action adventure type movie. He asked me about college and told me he never had the concentration for studying and that he admired anyone who could do well in school. He asked me what I planned to teach and I told him I was going to teach math and science. He teased me, ‘Ooh a logical mind in my presence!’ I gave him a little smirky frown and lightly punched him in the arm. He laughed that beautiful sonorous laugh of his. He asked me what my hobbies were and I told him how I like astronomy. ‘Then I have just the place to take you’. He quickly made a U-turn and headed back to LA. His driving did take my breath away, he likes to drive very fast! I can see why Ron wanted to drive earlier! As we got in sight of the city, he turned off and headed up a mountain road till we were at Griffith Park Observatory! ‘Oh, Freddie’, I said, ‘This is wonderful. Too bad it’s closed.’ ‘That’s ok. I just wanted you to see it. We can see a lot of stars from up here without that big telescope anyway. Just look up!’ I craned my neck back and the sky was filled with stars. The observatory sits high above the smog. ‘I wish I could lie back and see the whole sky better’, I told him. ‘The stingray does not have very much room in it’. ‘No problem’, Freddie responded. ‘Let’s go out and lay across the hood’. ‘Won’t it dent it?’, I asked him. ‘Don’t worry your pretty head about that!’, he answered. So we got out of the car and hopped on the hood of his car and laid back. I could see all the constellations that I had studied in Dr. Carper’s class. Freddie asked me if I knew any of the names of the stars and I pointed out many stars and constellations that I had learned. I think he was interested, cause he kept asking me questions. We talked about the stars for about 30 minutes and then he turned and faced me and said, ‘You are going to make a very fine teacher someday’. He made me blush and I didn’t know what to say in return. Freddie then said ‘As beautiful as those stars are, I think you outshine them all’. Oh, my God, girls, he is just so romantic. I couldn’t answer him, his words struck me speechless. I think he sensed how awkward his words made me feel, cause he then showed me that he meant them by reaching over, putting his arms around me and kissing me with a passionate kiss; not one of those let's be friends kind of kisses, but one like he really meant it. I couldn’t help but to kiss him back with as much passion, he made it so easy. I was really getting turned on by this and ventured to take my fingers and run them through his beautiful, long, thick, dark hair. I have always dreamed of doing that. It felt so luxurious and soft. He seemed to like this, cause his hands found their way to my face and he caressed it with such tenderness. Well, we were engaged in this and one thing led to another and he asked me if I would feel comfortable if he removed his shirt.....” Marie trailed off in her narration, too embarassed to continue. Sue and Angie were on the edge of the bed by now, hanging on every word. “Well,” exclaimed Sue, “You aren’t going to keep us hanging are you?! Spill it.... all the juicy details!” Angie could only nod in agreement. Marie sighed and said, “Well, it was magic. He is a wonderful lover, so slow and gentle and kind. I could have laid on that hood all night doing what we did.” Marie paused again. Sue’s and Angie’s eyes were as big as dinner plates by now. “You mean to tell me you did.... did....you know....IT! right there IN THE OPEN!!! ON THE HOOD OF HIS CAR!!!!!!” exclaimed Angie. Marie’s face turned 25 shades of red as she gave a slight little nod. “Oh MY GOD, MARIE!!!! I don’t believe it!!!!”, Sue chimed in. “Well, you wanted the whole story.” “But in the open?!?!?! Weren’t you afraid some one would come by and catch you.... you know....in the middle of things, as it were?”, asked Angie. “Well it’s kinda funny you mentioned that, cause..... well.... we kinda did get.... um.. caught." “Geez Louise, Marie, you are the only person I know that can get herself into these predicaments”, said Sue. “What happened?” “We actually were almost finished when a cop car came by patrolling. You never saw two people get themselves back together so fast in your life!” The girls were rolling across the beds in such laughter that tears started to form in their eyes. Marie joined their laughter. “We were glad that the cops didn’t see anything but they did stop by us and asked if everything was alright. Freddie said, ‘Absolutely, officers.’ in his Hispanic accent. I tried not to laugh with the cops being there. They just told us that we needed to move along, cause we were in a no parking zone. As they drove off, Freddie and I burst out in laughter, like a dam that held in water too long. We got back in the car and he drove me back here. He gave me a long, passionate, goodnight kiss and thanked me for an evening he would never forget. I told him that I doubted I would forget it either. He asked me if he could come by again before I left for home so we could go out again. He also took my address at college so he could write.” Marie collapsed on the bed. “What a night!” she exclaimed. As the girls regained their composure, Sue said, “Well, Angie, you’re next. I don’t know if you are going to be able to top that story, but I’m still curious about your staying at Ron’s all night!”

MariposaLKB 08-14-2001, 08:40 PM Hi again, everyone, here is the first installment of my next date! Enjoy!
A Van Nuys fantasy:
This was back when I was 16, living in the Los Angeles suburbs, and known as Lorelei--I was a big Styx fan and hated my real name. I had just gotten my driver’s license and my parents had given me a used car for passing the test. I was driving back alone from the Taco Bell (my friends Elaine and Steve and I had always used to walk the five blocks up Victory Boulevard before we all started to drive) just a few weeks after I got the car, when suddenly steam started pouring out from under the hood. I knew next to nothing about how a car worked, so I was terrified, nearly causing an accident in my rush to get out of traffic and park at the curb. I was only a couple of blocks from my house, but this being the days before cell phones and me being useless in a crisis, I didn’t even look for a pay phone or get out and walk home--just sat behind the wheel and burst into tears. I don’t know how long I sat there before there was a sharp knock on my window. The man standing beside my car was dark--literally: I couldn’t make out any of his features or clothing because the sun was behind him and my eyes were blurred with tears. But I did see that the hand on my window was large, with long, almost delicate fingers and bronze skin. He was probably Chicano, I thought, and my parents had instilled in me a distaste for these supposedly lazy people. Still, I was desperate, so I rolled down my window just a crack and shaded my eyes trying to see the man more clearly.
He laid both hands on the roof of my car (so that I saw his arms were very long), cocked one slim hip to the side and leaned his head down a bit. That was when I saw the large, even, brilliantly white teeth and the dimples as he smiled. I still couldn’t see his eyes too well, so I lowered my hand and peered up at him more closely. The eyes were also smiling, huge, almost round and a very dark brown. His hair fell in almost shoulder-length black waves against his prominent cheeks, touched by the sun in places so that it was blindingly white, and his sideburns ran all down the sides of his face. There was something familiar about the face, but I still couldn’t see him quite clearly enough to figure out where I had seen him. “What’s the matter, honey?” he was saying, “Car break down?” His voice was gentle, with a slight lisp, and no Hispanic accent. Maybe I had been wrong about him, I thought, so I rolled my window the rest of the way down and the man went to his haunches beside the car. His smile changed to a look of compassion as he reached in and wiped the tears from my cheeks with the back of his hand. His graceful hand then cupped my cheek for a moment, his eyes locked on mine. Then he looked at the ground as if embarrassed and lowered his arm back to the window ledge, folding his hands together as if in prayer.
I turned away long enough to take a tissue from the box I kept on the floor, and after I wiped my eyes and blew my nose I looked back to find that my rescuer was waiting patiently in the same squatted position. He pointed to the front of my car, from which steam was still belching. “I know a little about cars--would you like me to take a look?” Touched by his obvious kindness, I said, “Thank you, Mr....Mr...?” His smile was back now, a broad grin that lit up his whole face, as he replied, “None of that ‘Mr.’ jive, just call me Freddie.” He held out his hand to shake mine, and as my small hand got lost in his firm grip I said again, “Thank you, Freddie.” As soon as I said his name out loud it dawned on me where I had seen this young man. For my birthday almost six months ago my parents had taken me to see my favorite singer/songwriter, Paul Williams, and this was the performer who had opened for him--a comedian named Freddie Prinze! I had heard him refer to the fact that for the past few months he had been gaining fame on a television show called “Chico and the Man”, but I was not familiar with it since our house had only one TV and as I said before my parents didn’t like Chicanos.
I was still marvelling at myself for failing to recognize Freddie immediately when he came out from in front of my car, wiping the grease from his hands with a linen handkerchief. “Looks like your water pump busted,” he ventured, back down on his haunches beside me. “I can call you a tow truck from my car phone.” I nodded dumbly, amazed not only at his expertise and helpfulness but also at the fact that he would so casually use such an obviously expensive hankie to wipe off grease. When he returned to stand by my window once again, I thanked him for making the call and offered, “Please, let me pay for the hankie.” Freddie looked down at it, dangling haphazardly from the breast pocket of his perfectly fitting navy blue blazer; since he was standing I then noticed the grease smudges on his unbelievably tight light blue slacks. I pointed at the spots and added, “And for the dry cleaning.” Freddie looked farther down, then back at me, made a face and waved his hand dismissively as he answered, “Don’t worry about it, honey!” Then he grinned again and asked, “By the way, what’s your name?” I smiled back and said, “Lorelei.” His full, rosy lips made an “O” before Freddie said, “What a lovely name--it’s German, isn’t it?” I didn’t have any idea, but I nodded, since I was of half-German descent.
Freddie started to walk toward the back of my car and I was suddenly seized with the fear that he was leaving. I looked back and watched as he walked around onto the sidewalk and over to the passenger side, where he motioned for me to unlock the door. I did so and he got in, reached for my hand and squeezed it as he lifted it to his chest and held it while saying, “I’ll stay with you until the tow truck comes, then I will drive you home.” I had glimpsed the beautiful, low-slung blue sports car that was parked behind mine, but I chose this moment to remember how close my house was, replying, “No, thank you, I don’t live very far--I can walk.” At this, Freddie burst into the most melodic laughter I had ever heard, head thrown back and mouth wide open. “What’s so funny?” I blurted indignantly. “You don’t trust me, do you, Lorelei?” Freddie leaned across the seat as he composed himself, so that by the time he said my name his face was inches from mine and his voice was a sensuous whisper. Embarrassed, I lowered my head, but Freddie lifted my chin until our eyes met. Still whispering, he put his lips close to my ear and offered, “Just to show you I can be trusted, I will call your parents from my car phone and tell them what happened and to expect me to drive you home. Give me your number.” I almost started to say something about this being a blatant attempt to get a girl’s phone number for devious uses, but the pleading look in Freddie’s eyes made me take a tablet from the glove box and write it with the pen he drew out of his shirt pocket. With the paper in hand he was out the door before I could say a word in protest.
I watched as Freddie once again went to make a call from his car, swivelling around when I saw him hanging up so he wouldn’t think I was checking on him. He got back into my car and closed the door before turning to me with a sad puppy look on his face. “What did they say?” I asked, discouraged. “Your mother was very understanding, until I told her who I was.” My puzzlement must have shown on my face, for Freddie continued, “I said I was Freddie Prinze, the actor, and she made this noise like she was trying to stifle a scream. I thought she was just having a typical fan reaction. The next thing I knew, though, she was insisting that I call you a cab.” My mouth dropped open. “What did you tell her?!” Freddie looked me right in the eye and replied, “I told her I was too much of a gentleman to call her sweet, innocent daughter any such thing!” My mouth dropped open even further, and Freddie doubled over with laughter. The sight of him made me relax again, and in spite of myself I began to giggle uncontrollably. “No, seriously,” Freddie said when he could talk again, “It’s cool, she won’t press charges against me or anything.” He wiped his eyes with his fingers and turned to look out the back windshield. I guessed he was looking for the tow truck, but since he couldn’t see around the delivery truck parked behind his car, he got out and walked a few steps into the street past it.
It was nerve-wracking waiting for the tow truck and I began to realize how much I missed having Freddie sitting beside me. His presence had had a calming effect on me from the moment he walked up to help, but when he had been right next to me I had relaxed completely. So I was doubly relieved when the tow truck arrived and Freddie came to escort me to his car. He opened my car’s door and bowed like a chauffeur as I exited, then put his arm around my waist to usher me safely the few steps in the street. His car was a Stringray, and he had to lean far down to open the passenger door for me, farther even than when he had bowed. He held my hand as I slid into the seat, then made very sure that I was comfortable before closing the door and going to talk to the tow truck driver. I leaned back into the low leather bucket seat and closed my eyes. The next thing I knew I was jolted awake by the sound of the car screeching to a stop. To my amazement we were parked in front of my house. I started to stammer, “How...when... what....?” Freddie smiled gently and pushed my hair back from my cheek. “I guess you were really freaked out by this whole thing--once it was over you relaxed to the point that you fell asleep!” I looked at my watch and realized that it was an hour since the tow truck had taken my car, but I only lived two blocks from where it had broken down.
Freddie saw me looking at the time and explained, “You looked so peaceful I didn’t want to wake you, so I just drove around for a while.” I sat up and started to protest, “But what about my folks?” Freddie laid a finger on his lips and shushed me. “It will be OK, they will never know--unless you tell them!” He smiled conspiratorially and I shook my head, then reached for the door handle. Freddie reached across me and stopped my hand. “Wait a sec, Lorelei,” he said quickly, “Can I call you?” Can Freddie Prinze, the tall, handsome, chivalrous TV star, call ME?, I thought. To Freddie I said as calmly as possible, “Sure! And thanks again for all your help.” Freddie nodded and winked at me. Then something occurred to me: “Where’s the bill--for the tow truck?” He made the same dismissive gesture with his hand as earlier when I had offered to pay for the things soiled when he looked at my car, and responded, “Don’t worry, honey, the studio will take care of it for me...for you.” My mouth started to drop open again, but Freddie, his body still across mine, quickly stopped it by placing his lips on mine and his tongue between my partly open lips. I thought I was going to faint, but Freddie’s strong arms went around me and he drew me closer. The heat inside the small passenger compartment of his car was almost unbearable, and by the time I got out--his “Hasta luego, Lorelei mi chiquita!” still ringing in my ears--I was weak-kneed, sweating, trembling, and hoping I could explain all this to my mother, whom I could see standing in the kitchen window.

MariposaLKB 08-15-2001, 01:43 PM A Van Nuys fantasy part 2:
The next day was Monday and all through the day at school I kept trying not to blurt out what had happened the day before. Several people asked me where my car was, since I rode the bus for the first time in a while, and it was very difficult not to tell them who had helped me when it broke down. But I managed to contain myself until I got home and saw that there were two messages for me on the tablet by the phone. The first was from the car repair shop to which Freddie had told the tow truck driver to take my car, way out in the Hollywood Hills (and probably very expensive), saying that my car was ready. The second was from Freddie, and had come in just before I got home from school. I was too excited to be angry that I had missed him, since he couldn’t have known exactly what time I would get home, especially since the bus ride always took longer. My mother came in just as I was jumping up and down in the middle of the kitchen because the end of the message was, “He wanted to make sure you were OK. He will call back in an hour”. She just stood there with her hands on her hips until I noticed her and regained my composure. “Why was that man calling you? And why did he call you Lorelei?!” she demanded. “Because he promised he would, Mom, and because I didn’t want to give a stranger my real name,” I said simply, walking past her with the two messages in my hand to go to my room and start my homework while I waited for Freddie to call back.
Mom followed me, hands still on hips. “Well, if he does call again--and I very much doubt that he will--you are to tell him never to call you again!” With that she closed the door to my room and I stood there frozen, stunned at her reaction to a kind man’s genuine concern for her daughter. I was too distracted by all this to do any homework, so I turned on the stereo and listened to my Styx album until there was a knock on my door. It was Mom, saying the phone had rung and I might have heard it if I hadn’t been listening to such loud music. I ran past her at full speed to the kitchen. It was Freddie, of course, and he greeted me with, “Hi, Lorelei, so sorry I missed you earlier.” I could feel myself grinning as I answered, “Oh, that’s OK, it takes longer to get home from school when I have to ride the bus.” Oh, that was mature, I thought to myself--he would obviously realize I was in high school, but I didn’t have to bring it to his attention like that! “Well,” Freddie was saying, “that won’t be a problem very much longer--I got the call from the repair shop while I was on the set this morning, and I made sure they called you.” So he really was taking responsibility for the bill! I wondered briefly if that would appease my mother, but I didn’t think so. “Oh, Freddie,” I blurted, “how can I ever repay you?” Get a grip on yourself, I said in my mind, he is going to think you are a baby! “No problem, chiquita! Glad to help.” There was an awkward silence, then Freddie continued, “There is something you could do for me.” My hand holding the receiver was turning white from my nervous grip as I ventured, “What is that?” Freddie cleared his throat and replied, “Well, this Friday will be one of my rare days off, and I have nothing at all to do--would you like for me to pick you up from school and we could go do something? I would be glad for the company.”
My death grip on the phone loosened with the shock, and the receiver went clattering to the floor. My mother came running in as I was fumbling to get a hold on it again, demanding, “What was that?!” As I straightened up with the receiver back in my hand, I mouthed to her “Nothing, Mom!” as I got back on the phone and said to Freddie, “Sorry, the receiver slipped.” I could hear Freddie laughing and realized he understood exactly why. “That’s OK,” he gasped, “not too much damage to my hearing!” I relaxed as I had when hearing his laughter for the first time, enough to wonder aloud, “Where would we go?” I could almost hear Freddie’s thoughts turning in the silence before he responded, “Oh, I don’t know, I hadn’t thought that far ahead--what do you like to do? Like what’s your favorite restaurant?” Without hesitation I answered, “Taco Bell!” This brought a fresh burst of laughter from Freddie and I could feel myself blushing, thinking, Oh yeah, also very mature! “You don’t have to say we should go there just because I play a Chicano on TV!” Freddie exclaimed. “No, seriously, I love Mexican food,” I said, adding sadly, “but I have to confess I have never actually seen your show.”
Freddie stopped laughing abruptly and I could hear the sound of a reclining chair being brought back to an upright position and footsteps as he began pacing. “Why not?” he asked softly, as though hurt. I didn’t know how to put it so I just said it straight out, “My parents don’t like Hispanics.” The silence this time was deafening and long. “I’m sorry, Freddie,” I said quietly after several minutes, “I still want to go out with you, and I promise I will find a way.” I thought I heard the catch of crying in his voice when Freddie answered, ‘Gracias, Lorelei mi chiquita.” As quickly as the moment of sadness had come, it was gone as I heard Freddie sitting back down and a newspaper rustling. “Hey, honey, do you like movies?” I was smiling again as I replied, “Oh, very much!” Freddie chuckled, “What about Shakespeare?” I had studied some in accelerated English courses and loved it, so I told him that. “Good,” he continued, “how about drive-ins?” I had never actually been to one, so I had to admit that, but Freddie was unfazed. “Well, then, how about if we go to the Shakespeare movie double-feature at the drive-in Friday night?” I was of course thrilled, but had to wonder what my parents would say. When I told Freddie that, he said gently, “Don’t do anything you think they would not approve of, Lorelei--ever!” Freddie promised to make all the arrangements, even calling my mother himself the next morning and letting her have the number for the phone in his car. “Oh thank you, Freddie--I don’t honestly know if it will do any good, but you can try!” Freddie laughed softly and asked rhetorically in an Hispanic accent, “How could your mother resist such a charming young caballero as myself?” On that note, we ended our conversation. Outwardly I had laughed hysterically, but in my heart I couldn’t understand how my parents could have such a deep-seated dislike for a whole class of people when on the other end of their phone line had been such a shining example of the best of them.
True to his word, Freddie did call my mother the next day while I was at school, and by the time I got home her attitude had softened considerably, to the point where she spoke encouragingly to my father during dinner about the possibility of my going out with Freddie. She and I together were persuasive enough that he agreed with no argument apart from some displeasure with the fact that we would be going to a drive-in (he said it was about the lateness of the hour at which I would get home, but I was not nearly so naive as he always seeemed to imagine). In any case, the next afternoon, when Freddie called me again, I was able to tell him everything was alright with both my parents. “Yahoo!” he shouted in my ear, apologizing profusely afterward. "That's alright, not too much damage to my hearing," I answered, echoing his words from the day before when I had dropped the phone. But Freddie, although he was laughing, challenged me petulantly, "Hey, if you're gonna quote me you could at least get it right! Yesterday I told you 'That's OK,' not, 'That's alright'!" I was amazed at how much of a little kid he often acted, but I just knew we would have a wonderful time Friday night, especially after he told me that the movies we would be seeing were Franco Zefirelli’s version of “Romeo and Juliet” and Laurence Olivier’s version of “Othello”, two of my favorite plays, as I told Freddie. “Good!” Freddie said, “I know they are both tragedies, but you can cry on my shoulder all you want, chiquita!” I sighed happily at the thought as we hung up, Freddie having promised to call me again before our date.

Luckymama58 08-15-2001, 03:04 PM THE DATING CONTEST***PART 9
Angie started her tale of adventure. “I think you are right, Sue. It sounds like Marie had the most excitement of the three of us, but you came in a close second. I wish I could tell you that I stayed out all night because of the same, but my explanation is very simple. Let me start at the beginning. After you all left, Ron decided he was still hungry. Where he puts it all on that skinny frame of his, I don’t know. We went to a diner not far from the studio and had some dessert and coffee and talked some more. Boy, does he like to talk. He is interesting though and he wanted to know all about me, so he didn’t monopolize the entire conversation. He is not like his character at all. He has a lot more self confidence than Horshack has. We rode around the city a bit and then he showed me where he lived. He tried to explain how to get back to our hotel, but you know me, bird brained when it comes to directions. He invited me into his house to get a piece of paper to write down the directions, which I never got to, by the way. His house is great, very large with 3 bedroom and a pool out back. I sat down on the couch in his den and he asked me if I wanted to watch TV. I told him I was game, but didn’t he have to get up in the morning. He said he spent many nights on the overstuffed sofa in his den watching TV till he fell asleep. So he turned on the set and we watched old movies. He let me curl up to him and his arm around me felt really cozy. We kissed a few times, but nothing more. Finally we fell asleep in each others arms, forgetting to turn off the TV. When I woke up, it was morning. I was a little alarmed, but Ron seemed ok, like it was the most natural thing in the world that we had spent the night together. His car is still in the shop getting fixed, so he called Bobby, who had been giving him rides, and told him he didn’t need a ride to work, because I was giving him one! I think by the way he reacted to whatever Bobby answered, that Ron will be getting a little mileage about our spending the night together! Just like guys! I don’t care, though. I took Ron to work and then I was able to find my way home from the studio. And that’s the whole thing. Not much, compared with yours!” “Oh, but it sounds like you had a wonderful time, Angie”, responded Marie. “I did, really, and he does want me to pick him up again after work to take me out to dinner before I take him home. Who knows, maybe I’ll spend the night again!” Angie winked and the girls laughed. “Oh, I almost forgot!”, Angie added. “Freddie gave this to me to give to you, Marie. It’s a pass to the show for the rest of the week. He wants you to come. I think he wants to take you out again. And Bobby told me to bring Sue with me when I came to pick up Ron later.” Angie handed Marie a pass that was different from the ones the girls had the first time. It was a hand written backstage pass dated for the entire time the girls would be in LA. Marie took it and sighed as she laid back down on her bed. “This sure has turned out to be one terrific adventure!” “Amen”, said Sue and Angie in unison. “I’ll never make fun of your harebrained schemes again”, said Sue. “Me neither! Thanks for entering that contest and inviting us to come with you!”, Angie seconded. “It was my pleasure!” Marie smiled. “We’re just like the three musketeers!” The three girls raised their hands with imaginary swords held high. “All for one and one for all!”, they quoted in unison. Marie went into change for her day with Freddie, knowing they would have a great time on the rest of their trip!

MariposaLKB 08-16-2001, 11:24 AM A Van Nuys fantasy part 3--
Man, did Freddie ever call me the rest of that week! Both Wednesday and Thursday when I came home from school there was a message waiting, saying that I should be sure to be available when Freddie called back in an hour. I thought this was very odd but then I realized that Freddie couldn’t afford to waste time calling every few minutes in the afternoon, when most of the rehearsal and taping of “Chico and the Man” was apparently being done. When he called back, he always had about an hour free to talk--he said he was taking his dinner break and I could often tell he had food in his mouth as he spoke. He told me all about his childhood growing up in New York and his dog King whom he smuggled into the no-pets-allowed building where he lived--only a few blocks from me! He gave me the whole story of his rise to fame and told me how insecure he had felt auditioning for his show. “You, insecure?” I asked incredulously, “The way you took charge when my car broke down, I wouldn’t have thought that of you!” Freddie chuckled indulgently, “Ay, gracias, Lorelei mi chiquita, but your Freddie is not really the self-confident person you saw that day!” I was breathless with the realization that he had referred to himself as my Freddie, but he wasn’t finished with the wonderful revelations: “No, honey, the only reason I saw my duty to help someone in need that day, and felt I could actually be of some help, was because I was just on my way home from church. I believe you can be close to God anywhere as long as you read His Word and pray, but I always see things better when I have been in God’s presence among His people. When I saw your car, I said a quick prayer to St. Christopher for your safety and to St. Catherine of Alexandria to help me find out what the problem was--she is the patron saint of mechanics, which I didn’t know until I started playing one on TV. I got a letter from a fan telling me that, and she also sent me a medal and a card with the saint’s picture on it. I treasure gifts like those from my fans.”
I felt tears welling up in my eyes at the obvious sincerity of his faith in God and gratitude to his fans. I was not Catholic, but Lutheran, and the idea of praying to saints was new to me. But at least they had listened to Freddie that day! “Gracias, Freddie,” I whispered, trying out the second language he spoke so beautifully. “For what, chiquita?” He was genuinely puzzled. “For praying for me,” I replied. “De nada, santita mia,” was his answer, and I asked for translation. “You’re welcome, my little saint!” I was both floored and flattered, and for once at a loss for words. When I could speak again I asked, “Why would you call me such a thing?” Freddie answered quietly, “Because that is how I see you, as someone who is closer to God than I will ever be.” I couldn’t imagine what he meant, and I told him so. He went on to explain, “You give so much honor to your parents, even though you don’t agree with their prejudices. I believe that if they had said you could never see me again, you would have obeyed them.” I started to protest but Freddie shushed me, “Shh, chiquita, you know I am right! I have always honored my parents as well, but for me it has been easy--they have indulged my every whim. It is much more praiseworthy to show respect for parents who say no.” I could see his point but still didn’t think that made me a saint. But it sounded so sweet when he called me “santita mia” that I didn’t say any more about it. Instead, I mostly listened to my Freddie several more times over those two days, because not only did he call me during his dinner, but after mine, and late at night when I was going to sleep. Those last calls would always come just as I was drifting off, so that I always thought at first that I was dreaming. Freddie would always say, “Que suenes con los angeles,” which was translated “Sweet dreams” but he told me really meant, “Dream with the angels.” Then he would send a kiss to me and I would do the same for him.
The biggest surprise that week came when I went with my dad Thursday before school to retrieve my car. Not only had the water pump been replaced with one that he said was better than the original, but the whole car had been gone over and cleaned inside and out. Not only that, but the dull, dented, rusting body had been repaired and repainted--in a beautiful mint green, which Freddie had told me was a favorite color of his. When I pulled into the student parking lot that morning, the stares of my friends went right through me. So many of them asked my so many insistent questions that I finally broke down and told them everything. As the rapid flood of my words came to an end, I saw the looks on their faces and realized that not one of them believed me. I therefore insisted that all of them be with me the next afternoon in the parking lot. During our phone call that afternoon I told Freddie how I had tried to convince my friends that I had met him and was rewarded with more melodic peals of laughter. “That will teach you to tell your darkest secrets, Lorelei mi chiquita!” he teased. I ignored this and went on to thank him profusely for the wonderful job he had had done on my car, and I could picture the face and gesture he made as he once again said, “De nada, santita mia!”
Friday I took the bus to school, sitting alone and listening to the buzz all around me, because Freddie would be picking me up. The day dragged interminably but he was there promptly at 3:30 when I came out with several friends in tow. “Freddie, this is everyone,” I giggled, gesturing broadly, “Everyone, this is Freddie!” As I went to stand beside him and we put our arms around each other, I got my first good look at the gaping mouths and saucer eyes of the crowd that was getting larger by the second. They all stood rooted in their places until we were in the Stringray and waving good-bye. Gunning the engine away from the curb, Freddie roared along with it and I joined him in the laughter. When he had regained our composure, Freddie made sure that I had been serious about going to Taco Bell, and when I nodded he turned the car onto Victory Boulevard. It suddenly hit me as we were getting out of the car that this could be a big mistake--going to a small fast food place with a major celebrity could cause problems for all concerned. As Freddie was taking my hand to help me out, I looked up at him and asked, “Are you sure you won’t be mobbed if we go in?” Freddie looked thoughtful, then replied, “Maybe you are right, chiquita, if I give you the money would you mind getting the food alone? Then we will go eat in that park over there.” I didn’t mind at all as long as it meant we would be left alone. Freddie turned over the hand he still held and, after reaching into the breast pocket of his waist length denim jacket, folded a twenty dollar bill into it. “Get whatever you want, my dear--money is no object!” he assured me in a flawless British accent. It was tough to spend twenty dollars in a Taco Bell, but I did my best!

Luckymama58 08-17-2001, 09:05 AM A post from the vacationing Cheryl:
Neat dating stories ya'll. I bet when Lorelei & Freddie go to the movies, I bet Freddie cries harder than she does. Looking forward to more. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
MariposaLKB 08-17-2001, 01:46 PM A Van Nuys fantasy part 4--
When I came out of the Taco Bell with a box of ten tacos and a cardboard carrier with four large Cokes (two each for now, two each for at the movie so I wouldn’t have to leave the car and wander around in the dark looking for the snack bar at the drive-in), I saw that the Stringray was still parked there but Freddie was not inside. I felt a brief stab of panic until I heard a shrill whistle that seemed to be coming from the park across the street. I whirled around, almost losing the Cokes. There was Freddie, two fingers in his mouth, ready to whistle a second time and waving with the other arm from beside a picnic table almost hidden by a huge tree. I went to the corner and waited for the light to change so I could cross. When I reached Freddie, he took one of the napkins I had stuffed in between the Cokes and brushed off the bench and table for me. “Gracias, Freddie,” I said, breathless from trotting across two streets. “De nada, santita mia,” he replied (as usual, I was beginning to think). I really couldn’t get used to that, but stopped myself from protesting by taking a Coke from the holder and having a drink. I put down the remaining Cokes and Freddie took the box of tacos from me, then motioned chivalrously for me to sit down. He set the box on the table and opened it. Next Freddie laid a napkin on the table in front of me like a placemat, then placed two of the tacos on it and opened their wrappers. “Hey, I can serve myself!” I exclaimed. “Hey, I know,” Freddie mimicked the rising pitch of my voice, then switched to his Hispanic accent, “I just wanted to hear you say ‘gracias’ again, you have reeally such a terreeble accent!”
I laughed with a bite of taco in my mouth, almost spewing it out. Putting my hand to my mouth I averted disaster, and Freddie laughed at my predicament. When I moved my hand I could tell I had something in the corner of my mouth, but Freddie was too fast for me--before I could reach for a napkin, he had grabbed one, sat down next to me with his long legs astride the bench, and was gently dabbing the food from my face. Then he sat there watching me until I swallowed the taco and took another drink of Coke. His eyes briefly left mine as he reached for a taco and Coke for himself, then returned to staring at me while he took a bite and a sip. After he had swallowed, Freddie leaned in and kissed me softly. I tried to lighten the serious look I saw in his eyes as he leaned back by joking, “No more of that now, I’m hungry!” I started to take another bite, but Freddie was leaning in again, and just before his lips met mine this time he murmurred, “So am I, santita mia!” Then he was kissing me and the taco in my hand fell to the ground. Suffice to say that I could relate to his hunger for affection, so I tried to keep up with Freddie as he scarfed down his five tacos and gulped one of his Cokes. In record time we were back across the street and getting in the Stingray.
Once we were settled in, Freddie took my hand--after turning back the cuffs of his jacket and shirt so that his forearm was also bare on the armrest next to mine (I was wearing a short sleeved blouse)--and held it all during the ride to the drive-in way out in the foothills, except when he needed to shift gears. At every stop light he would lean over and kiss me, then flash me a huge grin and a wink. I found myself thinking back to the first time he had kissed my lips--it had been in this car, and his tongue had gently explored my mouth, unlike the kisses this afternoon. I felt a longing for more of those open kisses, and resolved to make sure that I got more. By this time we were pulling into the drive-in, and Freddie drove the car up the exit driveway so that I would have to get out and walk around to the ticket window alone, rather than him just pulling up to it and being recognized. The girl in the booth looked at me strangely, but when I silently pointed to the car she simply nodded though she still looked puzzled. Whew, I thought, she couldn’t see Freddie from that angle! I asked for and received two tickets, paying with some of the remainder of the twenty dollars Freddie had given me at Taco Bell, which I had kept in the pocket of my jeans. With that hurdle cleared, we drove into the lot and parked in the back. It was still daylight, with at least an hour before the movies would start, but of course Freddie didn’t want to get out of the car since there were other patrons already there as well. We sat in silence for a while, sipping the other Cokes I had bought. As I watched Freddie watching the sunset, I imagined the taste of Coke on his lips and hoped I would get my wish to spend much of our time kissing.
As if he had read this thought, Freddie shot me a sideways look, head down, and his expression was so sweet and inviting that I took my chance and leaned toward him. But he didn’t turn his face to mine, so my kiss landed on his smooth warm cheek just below his eye. Not bad, but not like his full lips! Suddenly Freddie burst out laughing, and I jumped back, embarrassed. “Ay, Lorelei mi chiquita, you ARE as hungry as I am!” With that he folded back the armrest, reached for me and kissed me with all the passion I had hoped for, tongue thrust into my mouth. At the same time, his large hands ran up and down my back and I felt heat rushing all through my body. After several minutes of this (enough to steam up the windows of the Stingray), Freddie broke away to remove his jacket, then patted his chest--quite a bit of which showed from his tight dark red shirt--as if to say, “Lie down here.” I turned around, shifted halfway onto his lap and laid my head where his hand had been. Freddie’s left hand cradled my head, his graceful fingers tangling in my hair, and his right arm lay across me. We continued to kiss until it was completely dark and the movies started. I watched them from this position, lying against Freddie with both his arms around me.
The first movie was “Othello” starring Laurence Olivier, and its themes of prejudice concerning interracial relationships made me so tense that Freddie felt it and asked me what was wrong. I just shushed him by covering his lips with mine. Whenever Freddie wanted another kiss, his left hand would go under my head again and I understood I should turn to face him. Sometimes his right hand would caress my face or neck, and about halfway into “Romeo and Juliet”, when the main characters were waking up together after their wedding night, his fingers trailed delicately down inside my shirt. This made the back of my neck uncomfortable as the shirt got tighter, so I undid a couple of the buttons. I looked at Freddie and smiled as I did this, getting another grin and wink in return. Every time the beautiful love theme “A Time for Us” played in the background, I caught Freddie humming it quietly, for which I would reward him with a quick kiss on the lips (making a lovely vibration) or a touch and kiss on his neck or chest.
We both managed to hold back our tears until the end of this second movie, but when Romeo and Juliet both died, I turned my head and let the tears fall against the soft skin of Freddie’s chest. A couple of times I felt his lips on my hair as if to comfort me. When I looked up at him again, there were tears coursing down his cheeks as well. He realized I was watching and quickly brushed them away. Then he was kissing me with renewed passion as his hand returned to moving gently back and forth inside my shirt. I was glad he never went any farther than that since I wasn’t sure if I was ready for more, even with someone as handsome, romantic, and generally wonderful as Freddie. It was very late when the movies ended, and I dozed on the way home. Once in a while I would wake up slightly to feel Freddie’s hand brush my cheek as he pushed my hair back from my face, or to hear him singing softly in a bright, clear tenor voice. At first I couldn’t hear the song over the roar of the Stringray’s engine, but by the time he had finished the first verse and chorus I thought I knew what it was, and by midway through the second verse I finally recognized the song--and myself in it: “Her eyes become a paradise, she softly speaks my name. She brightens every lonely night, no one’s quite the same...” It was a song from one of my Styx albums, the one I had taken my name from. It was “Lorelei.”

Luckymama58 08-17-2001, 11:23 PM Mariposa, I want to thank you for a truly touching and romantic date story. I always believed Freddie would behave as a kind and gentle person and respect the girl he is with. You have proved that with this story. thankyou for sharing it with us!

MariposaLKB 08-18-2001, 12:35 PM Thanx mucho to you, Luckymama--your wonderful multi-part story was my second inspiration (after Freddie, of course!) to write something more detailed. BTW everyone, I am taking votes on who would like to see more of Lorelei and Freddie on dates. I think this relationship could go on longer, but I wouldn't want to take up any more space if others don't think so too. You can post here or e-mail me if you prefer. Thanx in advance for the feedback!
