I was just watching Extra, and they had a little preview of tomorrow's show and there will be a segment on how Jr. found out about his father's death. Check your local listings for the day and time it airs in your area.

Do you think he learned the truth about his mother also and that she was a big part of his fathers death?

No im dead serious. No disrespect to FPJr but he must have learned the truth about his mom from somewhere. Maybe he will speak on it tonight maybe not but even if he doesnt i think he has to have read or been told about what was going on.

Well if you live in the East Coast it was just on NBC. You didnt really miss much it was only 3 minutes and all they basically said was that he learned about his fathers death from a kid in school when he was 8 who told him his father was a junkie and shot himself. They did not mention that his mother was the one who drove him over the edge all they said was he was addicted to painkillers.

Arrgh, I missed it! I'm so busy I only have time to watch one show and you all know which one it is http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/tv.gif ...So it doesn't really sound like I missed much.

Don't feel bad Karen I missed it too. I went to the Extra website though and read what he said and saw his movie clips on Summer catch. I already knew that, that was how he found out about his fathers death. They mentioned it in a Freddie Jr. book.

Yes the piece was very short and not terribly informative to those of us who have loved Freddie Sr. for a long time. But on the plus side, there were several very nice photos of our Prinze shown during the story.

That 3 minute piece was very misinformative. They might have as well called him a Junkie cause that whats people are gonna think he his if they dont know any better. How can you do a report and mention that the person was addicted to painkillers but not mention the reason he was prescribed the medication.

It makes you wonder after seeing how poorly EXTRA did that 3 min piece on Freddie as to how much of there other stories are put together like garbage.

I just saw Extra this afternoon (they showed it again) I saw the Freddie piece. What a dissapointment! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif It seemed like only a minute long. Freddie Sr. did look cute though.

A post from the vacationing Cheryl:

That is terrible how they did him on the Extra & sensationalized him. I am so tired of people saying he was a drug addict etc. He was not addicted to regular drugs but to medications. A big difference. The media exaggerates that while totally ignoring how he really was. That he was a good Christian man who loved God, read his Bible & prayed & was a husband & father, cried at sad movies & sad stuff & cried easily & had a kind heart. The media never mentions that. I know it's not popular to mention a celebrity's religious & kind sides but it is the right thing to do to tell how he really was. Thank God for his Mom's book. It really bothers me that they will take someone who was buried with their Bible & talk ill of them. I remember yrs ago they had a saying "Never speak Ill of the dead". He was a dear sweet Puerto-Rican boy & I care about him very much. God Bless you Freddie. I think you are a good person. God loves you & we all do too.

I agree with Cheryl's sentiments also, Freddie was a very special, wonderful person. But I must disagree about the statement on drugs. Freddie WAS addicted to drugs. That doesn't make him a bad person, only a person who was so lost that was the only solace he could find. People seem to think that those addicted to drugs (especially non prescription drugs) are bad people. That's not the case. People turn to drugs as an escape from pain, confusion, anger; not because they are bad people. Freddie was a wonderful, sensitive person, who felt pain very deeply. Drugs can numb that pain for a brief time, and that's why he and so many others turn to drugs.

Your right Ed, I read on one of the CATM boards, that Jr found out about his dad in his teens riding around with Ron DeBlasio.
