I've mentioned it before a long time ago, but has anyone seen Splendor in the Grass and what did they think about it. It was a controversial movie for it's times. N E 1 seen it. It's pretty old, and I usually dont like old movies but that one was good...

That was a wonderful film. Natalie Wood was great especially in the scene when she cut off all her hair. During the filming of that movie, she was married to Robert Wagner, but fell for Warren Beatty. She and Wagner divorced, went on to marry other people but found their way back to each other and remarried...until her untimely death in 1981. The yaught she and Robert Wagner owned was named Splendor, after the movie. This is boat she was on the night she drowned.
Natalie was so beautiful and talented.

Natalie was so beautiful and talented. My favorite scene was the bathtub scene.....I think its sad how repressed sexuality was back then for WOMEN......there was such an OBVIOUS double standard when it came to that, and I think the film was good in pointing that out.....Bud was encouraged to find a "different kind of girl" BUT when Deanie had sexual feelings, her mother would tell her that only what we we'd call 'sluts' have those kinds of feelings....which obviously isn't right cuz it sent her to the loony bin :p
