..Iwas just wondering, after dwellling on the subject of the floor plans for the Petrie house, how many would really want to live in their house? Say a housing tract was built and every house had that or the Helpers floorplan and the tract was called "New Rochelle". How many of you all would *really*, actually live there? Say the houses were 200K and in the middle of 200 acres of private property and all the houses were three bedrooms.

I know I would be the first in line!

Pickles,
Who hasn't wondered at what it would be like to at least visit 148 Bonnie Meadow Road? To actually own it? Sounds like a winner!
Add that it's in South Florida, with big Florida windows all along the sides where the "cameras" would be, and that it's overlooking the intracoastal waterway, and you've got a buyer!

I probably wouldn't, but that's because I'm not partial to housing tracts, or "instaburbs" as I've heard them called... My dream home does have that sort of layout, though.

And speaking of the Helper house, does anyone else think that it's smaller than the Petrie house and not quite as nicely furnished? Weren't the two homes supposed to be basically the same layout except for the rock in the Petrie basement? Anyway, from what I've seen of the Helper house (living room), I guess dentists don't do as well as comedy writers financially...

You're right Sally. The 2 houses were essentially the same except for the rock (as you indicated).
