Hi All,

Does anybody know the names of the schools that Jerry Mathers attended during his "Beaver" days? What kind of student was he in real life? What year did Jerry graduate from high school?

I know he has dyslexia, so reading and writing is difficult for him. I think he graduated high school in 1966, but I'm not positive.

I don't know for sure, but I bet during the Beaver days all the kids had private tutors on the set.

I was looking up Ken Osmond pics and I came across this bit about Jerry and his school. It's talking about which schools certain celebs attended.

NOTRE DAME HIGH SCHOOL (13645 Riverside Dr., Sherman Oaks): the celebrity alums include Jerry Mathers, the original Beaver Cleaver from "Leave It To Beaver" went to this school after the show went off the air (in fact, he also celebrated his 50th birthday here.) Jimmy Hawkins, the actor who played Jimmy Stewart's the oldest child in the classic "It's A Wonderful Life" still has his letterman jacket from the school. More recent students at Notre Dame include Kirsten Dunst ("Spider-Man," "Drop Dead Gorgeous") and Maureen Flannigan from the TV sitcom "Out of This World."

I know this isn't high school, but he got his Philosophy degree from UC Berkeley.

I did a search on Google:

"Notre Dame High School",Califorina

Jerry's school is listed many times. I clicked on what I think was the 3rd or 4th link and you can actually go to his school site. I clicked on Alumni in 60's and there are some classmates from his class that have there e-mails listed! I'm not sure if Jerry graduated in 1965 or 1966. (He wasn't on that list, but it would be cool as hell to contact Jerry and see if he remembers any of his former classmates!) God, that had to be so cool going to the same school as he did and even better, having classes with him!! Could you imagine the popularity and status he had even outside of Beaver? (You see him now, and it is kind of sad that he never had any other big roles. That joke he makes when he guest starred on that 'Married With Children' episode....."Have I really sunk as low as.....Charles Nelson Riley!") But man....going back to his high-school days everyone going......."HEY BEAVER!!!!!" That must have been something!

I wonder if he ever got kidded around in school and if his classmates ever "gave him the business" mocking him in some episodes during their initial run! I am sure Jerry took it in stride! From what I read/heard he was a real nice guy growing up both on and off the set.
