I think I need to go read it again but anyway I saw that in there. Joyce DeWitt is my fav from the show, but in real life she doesn't really seem to be that nice... JMO, but yeah. Janet is cool. I dont think she seems nice either....I heard a story that she blew up at Suzanne on the set a lot for no reason.....but I dont know.....
Unwanted Angel 12-22-2002, 03:42 PM You people have it all wrong From what i heard Suzanne got pissed at Joyce and John when she got fired and was spreading rumors about them and that is why Joyce is pissed off at Suzanne so if you don't know the true story don't call Joyce mean cause she is the sweetest person in the world
Sean Snow 12-22-2002, 04:12 PM From what I've read Joyce blew up at Suzanne before the contract dispuit more then once.
Joyce is a great actress, but she does seem kind of mean at times. It seems like she blames everyone else for things that happen to her even when it's not their fault. Can't she just be happy that she got to act on a show for eight seasons? Most actors can only dream of that.
Three'sCompanyrules 12-22-2002, 05:45 PM Well from what I saw on the E! THS the only cast members that didn't get along were Joyce and Suzanne. Joyce and Priscilla are best friends according to what Joyce said on E! THS. I think the rest of the cast get along well with each other. The thing thing that will air on NBC is like a behind the scenes of the show type thing I think, maybe someone can confirm that. It will be kind of like what the Gilligan's Island tv movie was on CBS a year or so ago. Joyce is going to be the narrator of that telefilm.
Krisalicious 12-22-2002, 09:27 PM Yeah...I guess Joyce seems a little bit mean. Like on the E! True Hollywood Story how she uses all those negative words all the time, lol
Unwanted Angel 12-22-2002, 10:41 PM I have to agree with what some of you are saying but that is Joyce only talking on tv no one knows what she is like in real life unless you have met her. I know alot of people who have met her and said she is a very nice person. Maybe she is just having a bad year.
fr00ti 12-23-2002, 12:51 AM Well, I have nothing against Joyce DeWitt personally, cause shes one of my favorite actresses. She just seems a little sore on some subjects pertaining to Suzanne. I want to see "Noises Off" again dangit. I do like Joyce alot as an actress, lol one of my SNs on yahoo was threes_company_gurl_201! hehe
zerces 12-23-2002, 03:58 AM I do know Joyce, and yes, she is a nice person. It's something of an understatement, actually. She was recently in my neck of the woods, so I was able to introduce several friends to her. Every one to a person was amazed and incredibly touched by her kindness. She was genuinely interested in meeting each person, and delayed her own busy schedule just so she could talk at length to each individual about their own personal interests, putting everyone at ease, offering words of encouragement to one lady whose teenage son is involved in the local high school's plays, talking about travel to another person, admiring the artwork of still another, talking to people about their pets, their accomplishments, their ambitions, etc., etc. I could go on and on. Always a friendly pat on the back, a hug and a kiss, a sincere compliment, a kind word. When people would address her as "Miss DeWitt," she would immediately put them at ease and say, "Just call me Joyce." She even gift-wrapped a cupcake (!) for one young lady's mother, who was unable to come and meet Joyce personally. People were glowing for days afterwards, remarking what a lovely person she is and how immensely they enjoyed meeting her.
Unwanted Angel 12-23-2002, 09:07 PM I never doubted Joyce i never thought she was mean and i hope to one day meet her because as you can see i am her biggest fan lol
zerces 12-23-2002, 11:57 PM I really hope you get to meet her one day; she does a lot of regional theatre, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that she does a play or personal appearance near you. Good luck!
Unwanted Angel 12-24-2002, 10:03 PM Zereces how do you know Joyce DeWitt? Just Wondering if you would know a way i could maybe get an autographed picture of her or be able to send her a letter telling her how much i adore her and her work and i hope to see her in a staring role of another sitcom in the future.
Thanks
Dorothy
zerces 12-24-2002, 11:13 PM Hi Dorothy,
We met several years ago, when she did some initial voice-over work for an animation film I am making, which is still in production. Since then, we've kept in touch and I have gone to see her in some of her plays, the most recent being a cabaret she did in New York City. Both from a professional and personal standpoint, I really can't speak highly enough of Joyce. She is such a kind soul, and has been an amazing support to me. I do hope you will get to meet her one day.
In the meantime, you can write to her care of:
