I don't think that Old Navy, Gap, A&F, Tommy Hilfiger, are department stores.

Department stores, in ex., Sears, JCPenney, etc.

But anyways my favorite DEPARTMENT stores, are Macy's, Robinson's May, and Bloomingdale's.

BTW, does anybody remember the department store named, Broadway?

Being an old fart, I have to say I love Home Depot.

So amazing, all the stuff you'd never imagine, all there for the projects you wish never happened.

I mean on aisle 84 past the rest stop they have 50 different types of screws for 10 cents a piece.
The labels for the price must have cost that much.

Out of these choices, which is your favorite department store?

I absolutely hate Wal-Mart. The stores are so dirty, and they change the store around so often that it is confusing. K-Mart isn't nearly as good as it used to be. My favorite department store is probably Target.

My local Wal-Mart isn't dirty and they hardly ever change the store around. It used to be my favorite, until recently when they told me they didn't have Three's Company Season Two. I had to order it through the mail, and that DVD better be here by Monday or else!

Out of those choices I pick Wal-Mart. The one by my house is always clean and organized and the employees are polite and friendly. I don't care for the Target near me. Everything always seems to be picked over. I've never liked K-Mart at all.

walmart is white-trash heaven.

I hardly ever shop at department stores.
i get my clothes from clothing stores, electronics from Best Buy, and food from Grocery Stores -- everything else at department stores is just filler.

At the Target near me, there are snack aisles, similiar to at the grocery store. It saves my mother a trip.

Yep.

The correct word you would be thinking of for stores like Walmart is...white-trash centers.

No, seriously, they're shopping centers. :D (That's how I think of them anyway)

Yes indeed!

Mr. Macy was Rowland Hussey Macy. He started the Macy's store in New York City in 1858.

Sears was actually two men. The store was originally called Sears and Roebuck .

Mr. Sears was Richard Warren Sears and Mr. Roebuck was Alvah Curtis Roebuck . They started their store in Chicago , 1892.

Mom and I are obsessed with Kohl's and we buy cool stuff there and we have gotten so many Kohl's coupons it's very funny. Mom also LOVES Macy's and she didn't even know Macy's existed until the 90's and the mall where we began shopping at had a Macy's and Mom was obsessed with Macy's ever since "and at that time" there was only two Macy's in our area and then our mall got it's own Macy's and we loved it. I used to go to Marshall's and it had good stuff but Mom and I quit shopping there because it got too crowded and messy. One of my cousins actually works for TJ Maxx and he gives my uncle discounts there and Mom and I went to a TJ Maxx once and we liked their awesome stuff they had. But if you want a good department store that has amazing bargains I recommend DD's Discounts because that store is amazing and has famous brands like Baby Phat Tommy Hilfiger Adidas DKNY Michael Kors and other brands at reasonable prices and when Mom and I went to DD's Discounts we were surprised at the store

For mens clothing I like Dillards. In Indiana, there are two, one in Richmond and one in Evansville--neither are close. I discovered them on a business trip to Cleveland years ago--they had a downtown mall store which I'm betting is gone by now--along with the mall.

I order online.

I wasn't familiar with what Ross had until this past year. I checked them out and bought several Christmas gifts there.

All of those stores you mentioned are within 2 or 3 miles of me.
