Hillary 08-04-2001, 04:45 PM I have an Freddie Prinze autograph that says "To Hillary, With All Best Wishes, Freddie Prinze - Chico." I'm not about to sell it, but does anyone have an idea of it's worth? It's on a piece of note paper, about 4" x 3".
Pitooey 08-04-2001, 10:23 PM Hi Hillary! I have no idea how much his autograph would be worth but, I wish it was me who had it. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Welcome to the Chico and the man forum! It's the place to be.........
Luckymama58 08-04-2001, 10:49 PM O my, Hillary, I wouldn't have a clue, but to me it would be priceless. Cherish it forever, hon! BTW how did you come to have it. I know it must be an interesting story, that I'm sure we would all like to hear, if you don't mind sharing with us!

chicosladyfair 08-04-2001, 11:09 PM Hillary,
I wouldn't have any idea either. It's true worth is only measured by how much you treasure it.
Welcome to the board...enjoy your time here.

catcopy18 08-05-2001, 12:20 AM It doesn't sound like any of us can help you with the value of what you are so fortunate to have Hillary. I'm sure it's priceless to you as it certainly would be to me. I hope you will share your story with us on how and when you were close enough to our Freddie to get it. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/cool.gif
Cheryl Harrell 08-05-2001, 03:19 AM We want to hear the story! It's priceless.

Hillary 08-05-2001, 03:59 AM The story is quite simple... I grew up in Los Angeles. My Grandfather (who I lived with along with my Mom & Grandmother) worked at a deli on Sunset, across from Schwab's, called Greenblatt's. I think it's still there. His name was Ben and he made unbelievable sandwiches. He was a real character, a large man originally from New York with a lot of attitude. Many stars came in and actually asked for him. Freddie Prinze came in often and soon got to be friendly with my Grandfather - he enjoyed watching Freddie on "Chico and the Man". My Grandfather got many autographs for me - Diana Ross, Mel Torme, Henry Winkler, and Alice Cooper to name a few - but after the death of Freddie Prinze, he told me to especially take care of that one because he was such a nice, polite "boy". He really mourned, he thought Freddie Prinze was an amazing talent.
Thank you all for your posts. I will definately treasure this autograph and share it with my kids someday.
Cheryl Harrell 08-05-2001, 04:31 AM Oh wow! Neat story! Too bad you couldn't have met him! Hope you don't mind if I copy your story to put onto my CHICO & THE MAN/FREDDIE site. You'll get credited for it. You story shows that Freddie was a man even Grandparents could love. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

croiter 08-09-2001, 10:53 AM Hey Hillary,
Can you scan the autograph in and post it here for us to see?
Hillary 08-09-2001, 12:32 PM I will try to get to scanning it for you in the next few weeks. I'm a novice at that sort of thing. It's very busy around here until my kids go back to school, but I'll get to it eventually.
chicosladyfair 08-09-2001, 01:34 PM Hillary, what a wonderful story. Your Grandpa sounds like he was an incredible man. What a treasure you have...both in your memories and in autographs. I have been a fan of Mel Torme for a long time, ever since I was a little girl and saw him for the first time on the Lucy Show. The Velvet Fog will be missed by me.
Your Freddie autograph...OH WOW! Wrap that baby up in a plasic bag and store it in a glass case with an alarm system and an armed guard..LOL!! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/rotflmao.gif
I would love to see it if you get it scanned. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/outtahere.gif
