There are many classic and famous X-mas commercials that have aired throughout the past 15-20 years. Below are some that still are repeated from year to year and are very popular.
1. Folgers Coffee - In this classic commercial, a tall, solidly built young man walks into a beautiful house. He's immediately accosted by a brat of about four years old, screaming, 'Peter' in this insanely annoying voice. He smiles, greets her, then goes about making coffee for his parents, who, of course, wake up to the smell of the rich aroma invading their house. They run downstairs, 'Oh, Peter!' Blah, blah, blah.
2. Campbell's Soup - This is another classic commercial. It features a snowman outside who is very cold. In the background, we hear the song "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!". He goes in a house and hangs a scarf up and sits down in a chair as a woman (possibly the mother) puts down a bowl of chicken noodle soup. The snowman melts and he turns into a little boy.
3. Pennsylvania Lottery - I first saw this commerical circa 1994 and it has been running on all broadcast stations throughout the state of Pennsylvania ever since around this time of year. Yesterday when I saw it, my grandpa said it has to be 50 years old. BTW, is he right? Anyway, the song is all about the lottery and it's obviously a goof of "The 12 Days of X-Mas". New footage about new lottery or holiday lottery type tickets have been added each year.
4. M&M'S - This is an almost classic and has been airing for many years. It features the two M&M's in the middle of the night and they see a Santa Claus. They notice that he exists. Santa says "I Do Exist" and he falls. When it ends, one of the M's says "Santa"?
5. Hershey Kisses - This commercial has been airing for years, and years and years. The Hershey Kisses become handbells, playing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."
6. Coca-Cola - This has also been airing for years and there are several commercials that feature the infamous Coca-Cola Polar Bears. They're cool!
7. McDonald's - This is a commercial that I first saw 9 years ago and is still repeated like the other ones I posted. It features a girl who is about three or four years old and she is walking in the woods by possibly running away. Ronald sees her and they gossip until they walk along and the voiceover sings "When You Believe In Magic".
8. McDonald's - This one features a girl who is walking in the woods and snow in the evening. She builds a snowman. After he's built, Ronald touches her on the shoulder and says "He Looks Great! But I Think He's Missing Something!". He then magically blows a ball of snow and makes another snowman and he then says "A Friend!". A voiceover says "McDonalds wishes you the best of Christmas spent with the people who make you smile." The girl and Ronald then walk to Mickey D's!
