Ours is very lenient. No REALLY short skirts or shorts. No REALLY low shirts or tube tops. We can wear tank tops, just not ones with really thin straps. No hats, visers or bandanas or sun glasses.

We can have spiked hair, colored hair, as many piercings and tattoos (not that anyone has tattoos lol) as we want and we can wear jewelry.

BUT our http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/attachment.php?s=&postid=456032ed up superintendent wants to stick all the public schools in uniforms next year..... AHHHHHHHHH!

Hmm...that sucks Sarah. Since I'm bored here is my school's "offical" dress code:

1) Knee-length shorts and skirts are acceptable. Coats, hats, beachwear, short skirts, short shorts, and clothing that does not cover the shoulders or mid-section are not to be worn in school.
2) Dress that is indecent, calls undue attention to an individual (which my school includes as pajama pants with clouds on them and such, so stupid), has lettering or symbols that are derogatory or disrespectful is deemed to be disruptive.
3) Articles of clothing which promote the use of illegal substances or activities are not proper attire and are not to be worn in school.
4) Articles of clothing worn as group identifiers, which promote a disruptive school climate, are prohibited.

Except for the pajama pants things, my school really isn't as strict as the code. Some teachers are worse than others but for the most part they really don't care.

Damn!

Anyways, we can do whatever we want to with our hair and makeup. No profanity shirts etc, no short short skirts, no cleavage...the basics. But, it was always the "ho's" who got away with it.

They even had us start wearing PANTS under our cheerleading skirts, because the skirts were pleated. UGh. Oh, and shirts under our togas on color day. Not that anyone did..

We have to wear uniforms so that's bad enough.

The only rules we have is

1.) No hats
2.) No belly-shirts
3.) No mesh-shirts
4.) No exposing of rib-cages
5.) No speghitti (sp?) straps...as long as it's like 2 fingers thick we can wear it

We can get away with NEthing

I'm in college, so we don't have a dress code.

Personally, I think schools should care more about educating students then about what they are wearing.

 Most of our school's dress code revolves around gangs...what's that say about our school?

Camouflage clothing, backpacks, or camouflage items of any type are not allowed.

Hmmm, as far as we know, the book says
"Anything not decent should not be worn"
we can say decent means whatever we want it to mean..
