DVD set, what would they have been? Since we can now see which episodes will be on the first 5 volumes of the Time/Life set, thanks to this link (http://www.thewalnuttimes.com/dvd.htm) provided by the walnut times website, I thought it would be interesting to see what each one of you would pick as your "Best of" set.
Personally, while I really do like every episode of the DVDS, I'm not overly thrilled with the selection of the episodes on these first 5 disks. But to each his own, I guess. BTW, this is exactly why I favor a Seasonal set release, or better yet, all episodes released at once (like Doug plans on doing).
If I could make a "Best of" set, where I'm not trying to be balanced or take into account anything other than my own selfish tastes, I'd start with:
Disk 1:
The Sick Boy (only because it's the pilot and should be included)
Buddy Can you Spare a Job
The Curious Thing about Women
My Husband is not a Drunk
Disk 2:
I Am My Brother's Keeper
The Sleeping Brother
Somebody Has to Play Cleopatra (in my top 5 favorites!)
It May Look Like a Walnut
Disk 3:
Too Many Stars
The Third One From the Left (only because I had a huge crush on Cheryl Holdrige from her Mickey Mouse Club and Leave it to Beaver days)
I'd Rather Be Balded Than Have No Head at All
The Lady and the Tiger and the Lawyer
Disk 4:
Ghost of A. Chantz
The Impractical Joke
Never Bathe on Saturday
100 Terrible Hours
Disk 5:
Coast-to-Coast Big Mouth
The Bottom of Mel Cooley's Heart
Talk to the Snail
Dear Sally Rogers
Ok, that's my first 5. If I did this all over tomorrow, I'd probably have a completely different list (not really, but I'm sure I'd change a few of them).
Ok, let's have 'em folks. Give me your "Best of" collection. Remember, 4 episodes per disk. 5 Disks to start with since that's what we know of right now (5 more disks will be added, to give us a total of 10 from Time/Life, but we only know the episodes on the first 5 right now).
