I saw on Entertainment Tonight that Adam Rich was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. Is this guy ever going to get his act together?:rolleyes:

I wonder what happened to him in his life that caused this? He really seems very screwed up now. I hope he has somebody that cares about him in his life. Adam needs support and everything I read now has people really making fun of him. It really is a shame.

'Eight Is Enough' Star Arrested

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - The woes for the actors who played the Bradford
children on the TV series "Eight Is Enough" continue to pile up.

Lani O'Grady, who played Mary Bradford, died in September 2001 of a drug overdose,
and on Wednesday (Dec. 18), Adam Rich, who played youngest son Nicholas, was
arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after driving onto a highway lane
that was closed for maintenance and almost hitting a police car.

The 34-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital after complaining of pain from an
unrelated injury, according to the AP.

Rich has been in and out of substance abuse programs over the past several years. In
1988 he spent time at the Betty Ford clince for cocaine addiction and in 1992 he has
entered a program after being charged with felony charges for stealing a drug-filled
syringe from a hospital pharmacy.

"Eight Is Enough" aired from 1977 to '81 on ABC.

I get so sad when I read things like this about Adam. He must be so screwed up to do stuff like this over and over. I can't help it, I feel sorry for him.
