View Full Version : What will it be NEXT!!!
MonarC 12-18-2002, 05:59 PM The writers of the show really need to get with it... Not only do they forget major details like "Where's Laurie" and everyones jobs just disappear, then we get a new doggie and then he is gone... Then certain episodes don't even make since. It makes me feel like the writers are spending to much time in the circle:eek2: I really wish they would sit down and watch all that has happened before they write a new scropt then write and think about everything first before just throwing a show together....
Bad_Company 12-18-2002, 06:12 PM Man i don't what the deal is but someone is slacking off big time. IT sucks man. ...something i noticed about the show "the Crunge" is that Donna is suppose to be in a Catholic School but she was taking her SAT's with Eric.

MonarC 12-18-2002, 06:15 PM I wish I was a writer... I would make it really great...

From what I can remember, you take the SAT based upon what school district you live in, so even though Donna no longer goes to Pointe Place High, she took the test with Eric at ther old school because that's where the SAT was being given on that day.
I think the show is just as funny as it has ever been. Sure they've dropped a plotline or two, but since the best stuff usually takes place at Eric's house, not at the jobs or school, that's where the writers are basing most of the actions.
Last night's episode was hilarious! I hope they keep it up.
AnaheimPMWitch 12-18-2002, 11:38 PM  I loved lastnights ep My favorite line "POOR PERSON" I use that line now
Bad_Company 12-18-2002, 11:51 PM Ok well that makes sense about the SAT's . Sorry.
I don't have a problem with them dropping certain storylines if only they would explain it instead of acting like it never happened. :)
Bad_Company 12-18-2002, 11:54 PM My fav. quote from "The Crunge" was :
Fez:"Next time you ask where is your drink it will be in your ass"
GO Fez! the working man strikes back:dance:
MonarC 12-19-2002, 11:40 AM I hate that stupid additude...
"Poor Person..." anyone who degrades anyone because they are poor, or a diff race, or diff beliefs, is just an A$$ anyway... So yeah Jackie needs to be taught a lesson.. I hope she gets poor and has to go with out "Daddy's gold card" for a while...:nonono: punish the spoiled little  B-T-H

I thought her Dad "cut her off" a while back becasue she was dating Kelso. Is that still in effect?
It's possible we'll see some major changes with Jackie. Her dad just got busted, so she's going to be getting some heat from that, plus she's dating Hyde, who isn't exaclty the most popular guy at school, that's got to affect her standing with the other cheerleaders and beautiful people. Perhaps all these changes will knock her down a peg or two.
It certainly would be an interesting to see if she changes...
MonarC 12-19-2002, 12:03 PM she could be a better person if she would just realize her place in the world isn't a snobby materialistic person... You can be rich and humble if you are a good person:talk:
Bad_Company 12-19-2002, 01:11 PM I hope that this whole experience does teach jackie a lesson in life. As far as being in good with the cheerleaders that sounds like a nightmare to me:lol:

I can't figure out how E/D got back together!!! I mean, the ENTIRE last season was them being broken up, and we all know why... so suddenly they are back together, with no discussion of WHY they broke up? And none of their friends question it? I mean, maybe Donna didn't tell Jackie that she had doubts about her future with Eric, and that she didn't want to be tied down in a house with kids, or that she wanted to leave point place. Maybe she didn't tell her best friend that, who knows. But I thought it was kinda common knowledge that Donna dumped Eric because he tried to give her a promise ring, and she didn't want to make that promise. Heck, the parents knew! And yet... there they are, together again, she's compromising her college education for him, he's fine with it, and no one says crap about it.
The writers have been dipping in the Roswell Crack Sack for sure. I mean, why the f*** would they write all of Season 4 if the point of the S3 finale is gone in Season 5?!??
The dog issue (one episode he's there, one episode he's not) is the same as the reason we don't see some of the cars all the time, notably the El Camino and the Corvette (which, granted, was sold) - the studio has to pay to have them there. And if they don't stick the dog in every scene, do they really get their money's worth for having him on the set? Doubtful.
I'm kinda upset that they haven't mentioned Leo.
Does Hyde no longer have a job?? How is he buying Jackie cheeseburgers and paying rent at the Formans?
For that matter, does Jackie no longer have a job? Especially now that she has NO parental income?
Did Donna quit the radio station? After she loved it so much and it partially caused the breakup?
Why exactly has Jackie's mom not returned from Mexico? We know they have contact, but what kind of mother wouldn't come back if their only daughter was ALONE? Who would pay the bills?
They aren't CHADs, precisely, but loose ends. So far there have been no contridictions, per say, just wierd loose ends.
The writers are definitely slipping. It seems in the rush to get E/D back together, and such focus on J/H, they let quality slip.
Bad_Company 01-28-2003, 12:54 PM Yeah its like everyone who had a job in season 4 now doesn't have a job.....Donna @ RadioStation, Jackie @ cheese shop, Hyde @ Fotohut and Eric at PriceMart . Now the only one with a job is Fez to me thats a pretty big loose end to tie up.
 :music:
Whiggy 01-28-2003, 04:00 PM Well, I can understand Donna not working at the radio station...I mean she took off to California for the summer...I seriously would think that would be grounds to fire her.
Although I would like to see closure for that..and other things mentioned...
As far as I know there is closure with Leo coming up in an episode...
Later,
According to spoilers, we'll see Donna working at the Radio and Eric working at the Price Mart.
We've got no reason to assume Jackie doesn't work at the Cheese palace anymore.
And Hyde's working situation will be touched on later.
Come on people, we can't have the writers mention that X character work at X place every frigging episode! Or even every 2 or 5. It's a waste of time when you consider an episode is roughly 22 minutes without the ads.
It's a sitcom, not an hour long soap opera. It's supposed to be funny. Keeping up on the professional status of each characters require exposition time better spent coming with comical situation (hence the term "sitcom").
Don't forget that the show is filmed in front of a live audience and every scene require a set. There are several permenant set (i.e. the basement) and one or two that are prepared specifically for an episode. There's no more room in the studio so if you build the Cheese Palace set you have to use it for the whole episode. That means that this set has to play an important part in the episode 'cause your stuck with it for the whole day of shooting.
When Jackie started working, it was the perfect excuse for several jokes. That's why we saw her often at the Cheese Palace in the late part of season 4. Eventually, the writer had done everything the cared to do with that plot element and so we don't get to see scene at the Cheese palace anymore.
Yeah, it could be mentionned in dialogue, but how do you drop it in between two funny line? Every scene has a precise timing. No time to go on useless tangeants.
Some disparition are admitedly lame, such as the 14 year old sister of Donna appearing in only one episode. The producer/writer probably decided that there was no room for one more regular actor on the show (and a sister of Donna would have to appear often).
Other are the results of actor moving away. Hey, if the guy playing Leo didn't want to come back, what can you do?

if they can dress donna in that sack of a uniform they can at least pretend at some point that someone is coming back from work in a cheese maiden costume. You act like it's a huge deal, they already have the outfits, just freaking wear them.
They had lives. They went on summer break. They came back. They have CHADs.
MonarC 02-06-2003, 10:36 AM Is that they say they haave jobs and a dog then they suddenly don't go along with it anymore....If u can't follow through with a plot then don't start it....DUH
Bad_Company 02-06-2003, 11:13 AM On the next eppie "When the Levee Breaks" they are suppose to bring back Joann........SO i guess she didn't leave the show. Not that i would care i really didn't like her anyways:talk:
:music:
MonarC 03-11-2003, 11:45 PM I don't know B_C joanne seems alright to me!
TO Joanne:cheers:
:lol::lol::lol:
:joke:
but anyways i really am wondering where this season will end up.
Kryssi 03-12-2003, 02:09 AM Yeah, I agree, I like Joanne. I don't see what's so wrong with her; she's a cool gal! I mean she may not be a MILF like the other "older" ladies on the show, but damn people cut her some slack, it's not all about that. lol
MonarC - you might be surprised how the season will "end". All's I can say is J/H fans won't be too pleased. :(
MonarC 03-12-2003, 10:31 AM OH NO....
What does that mean....:eek2:
Bad_Company 03-12-2003, 12:20 PM Yeah i have heard about the J/H thing but this is not a spolier topic so i won't go into detail. But i have heard that Rozanda "Chili" Thomas from TLC might be making a guest appearence.
