I was on the site just a little while ago, and it looks like ADW won't be shown after the new year. I really hope this isn't true! I JUST started taping the episodes! :( Does anyone have tapes for sale?

CHANDLER: You wanna tell secrets? Okay! In college, Ross used to wear leg warmers!
ROSS: All right! Chandler entered a Vanilla Ice look-a-like contest and won!
CHANDLER: Ross came in fourth and cried!
ROSS: Chandler got drunk one night and slept with the woman who cleaned our dorm.
CHANDLER: That was you.
ROSS: Whatever dude. You kissed a guy.

I wish they wouldn't they wouldn't take ADW off, I was really starting to get back into the show. I'm glad I'm finally going to be able to see and tape "The Getaway" Parts 1 & 2. I have been wanting to see and tape those two episodes for the longest time.

Actually, I was looking at the schedule, and it looks like an HOUR AND A HALF will be devoted to "Roseanne" each day! I never watched that show, but even if I did, I would still think 3 episodes in a row are too much! That's just ridiculous! Just when I was starting to tape all the best episodes of ADW........ :(

CHANDLER: [putting his hands up] Take whatever you want, just please don't hurt me.
JOEY: So, you're playing a little Playstation, huh? That's whack.
Playstation is whack! 'Sup with the whack Playstation, 'sup?! Huh? Come on, am I nineteen or what?
CHANDLER: Yes, on a scale from one to ten, ten being the dumbest a person can look, you are definitely nineteen.

I'm not sure what time zone everyone lives in, but for those of you who live
in the eastern time zone, do you get ADW two different times? Here in Michigan it comes on at 4:00am on some kind of FOX channel and at 2:00pm on TBS? just wondering!

I live in Ohio, and as far as I know, ADW is only shown on TBS at 2:00.

It is shown here in New York weekdays at 9 am (Most of the time I am not home at 9 am) and Sundays at 12 pm on WWOR channel 9. But they always skip episodes. Hopefull it return to TBS.

I can't believe it is not available on video or DVD by now.

I hope it comes out on video/DVD soon! I think it will in the next couple of years, only because so many series are now available on DVD/Video

The Fresh Prince replaced ADW where I'm at, but I see where they got Rosanne on 3 times in a row. They can at least take 1 of those off and show ADW for half an hour, it's better than nothing. And as much as I like the Fresh Prince (mostly seasons 1-3), I think they overplay that along with the Cosby Show. Some of these shows are on two or three different stations, now that is entirely too much. They can limit a show to one network and show reruns of the other shows that people want to see in syndication.

I agree, Danithang! Is Fresh Prince shown for an hour? I've been busy with work and classes all week, so I haven't seen the afternoon lineup at all. FP is one of my favorite shows, but it is definitely overplayed in my opinion! It's on for about 2 hours straight where I live, mostly on different stations though. I also agree that they could spare one of the THREE episodes of "Roseanne" to squeeze one episode of ADW into the schedule.

Yeah, FP is on for the full hour. I think they need to tone down that comedy block they have with Home Improvement (which comes on 4 different stations), Drew Carey (which also comes on about 4 different stations), Friends (which comes on 3 different stations plus it's still on the air), and Seinfeld (which is on 2 different stations). The only show out of these four that I actually watch sometimes is Seinfeld and that is not on nearly as much as the other three. Ya'll may think I'm picking on these shows because I don't like them, but even if these were my favorite shows I still would believe they are on entirely too much.

I emailed TBS asking if why and if they are going to bring it back in the future and the reply was...

It was doing very poorly in the ratings and have decided to remove the show from the schedule. They also said that they do not plan to have A Different World return to TBS.

I am a little confused about that last statement because in 1998 when they purchased the rights to the show it would be airing for 5 years...5 years would be up in 2004. TBS started airing the show in 1999.

Ouch! I certainly watched the show.

I'm dissapointed to hear ADW is gone, as I have always been a huge fan of the show, but I never really watched ADW much recently.

I can't say I'm suprised to see ADW finally bite the dust on TBS. It had a really good run on the network. For a very long time, 2 ADW episodes were aired daily on TBS.

It's almost 10 years since the series has ended now, and I knew it wouldn't last forever. I just wish I watched it more while it was still on the air.
