View Full Version : Season One DVD? *GoodMorningCalgary* 12-17-2002, 12:19 AM any chance of this coming out do you think? egregiousgirl 12-17-2002, 03:41 AM No, but SportsNight and Oz have both been released on DVD (both of which shocked me) so you never know. Those shows both have small but devoted followings, as does Barney Miller, so it could happen but I don't see them releasing it any time soon, if at all. On an unrelated note, I'd also like to see my all-time favorite show "Homicide: Life on the Street" relased on DVD as well. But as with my other favorite show, Barney Miller, I just can't see it happening. sara 12-18-2002, 04:41 AM I hope it will be out on DVD sometime. Does anyone know if there is anyplace to write or email, to suggest that Barney Miller be on DVD? If we can get enough people to ask, maybe it will help. maclen 12-22-2002, 10:15 PM Originally posted by sara I hope it will be out on DVD sometime. Apparently Columbia House still sells Barney Miller tapes. I have 10 tapes of 4 episodes each, and have 2 coming soon. I got mine through E-Bay though. Maybe Columbia House is a good place to write and ask when they'll have copies on DVD. If they're ever released on DVD, I would like to see the whole series get released by season, with unedited episodes, as opposed to random episodes like the Columbia House tapes. Hey... I'll take tapes with random episodes over nothing though. maclen P.S. I can't believe I missed the Fish episode "A Fish Christmas" this morning! (I forgot to set my alarm clock to 4:00 AM. I live in the West Coast but get an East Coast feed). Anyone tape it and could send me a copy? :) Janice 12-23-2002, 11:59 AM If I could, I would purchase the entire series on DVD. Wishful thinking. I don't buy VHS anymore, but I'd love to own the show unedited. maclen 12-23-2002, 07:16 PM Originally posted by Janice If I could, I would purchase the entire series on DVD. Wishful thinking. I havent' bought VHS in years, but getting these Columbia House tapes is the exception I've made to my own VHS boycott, besides, I'm taping the episodes that are currently being shown since I'm not holding my breath for a DVD release. :( Let me tell you though, going back and watching those tapes has really been a treat, therefore making worth the purchase and hassle of handling videocassettes. maclen DetectiveGriffin 12-23-2002, 08:14 PM hey, fish wasnt on sunday morning, they replaced it with welcome back kotter. sniffle! |
