If Freddie was still alive today, and the show was continuing to air, how would the characters have developed after all these years?

Call me a hopeless romantic, but I would have loved to see Chico finally settle down with a nice lady and have a kid. Could you imagine the look on his face as he became a papa! I would like to have seen Ed go into a semi-retired state and have another mechanic come in, some one young for Chico to mentor. I would have liked to see him marry Liz-the singer/nurse or Patty bertan,they maybe could have adopted Gabriel Melgar-Than i bet his career wold have skyrocketed(Gabriel's)He got a raw deal trying to replace a superstar like Freddie

I saw Liz on one of the episodes of Mama's Family, the one where her son vint has to marry this woman so she can get her visa. She isn't supposed to know english, so she speaks spanish. I think it must have been early 80"s. What is her real name? Does anyone know?
