Have you ever tried to go to a site you thought was normal but ended up being a porn site? My God, you have no clue how many times it's happened to me. (On accident!!!) Good thing there was no one in the room. Like for example, I tried going to dictionary.com but since my 't' wasn't working on my keyboard, It came out as dicionary.com and when I switched back to that window, I almost threw up. Yep you've guessed it, PORN. Bad experince. So, that ever happen to anyone?

That usually never happens to me. When I do typos, they're so bad that no one has thought of putting anything there :p

LOL ME! A year or so ago, I tried going to "Whitepages.com" but typed in "whitepage.com" instead. Hehe, wasn;t too nice.

It's happened to me quite a few times. I bookmark the sites that I always go to so I don't have to type them in all the time. It does help.

I mispelled websites like The White House, College Board, I can't name others! ;)

BTW- REMEMBER for the White House website, you DON'T use .com!... it's something else.

I went to a site called "abouttvshows.com" because I wanted to look up some information about Ironside. Pornographic images came up so I immediately exited because I didn't want to get a virus or something.

YES. That happened with the nancymckeonfans.com site and it freaked me out. Lets just say I saw some things that I dont ever want to see again. :barf:

That was what happened with Joel Hodgson's "Gizmonic Antsite." Hodgson is best known for creating Mystery Science Theater 3000. MST3K fans were stunned.

There was an incident over summer school involving porn web sites. There was this guy who had graduated last year who was on the internet in the computer lab. He was supposed to be looking up stuff for a graphic arts project that we were supposed to do. I went to see how he was doing when I noticed that the computer froze and the last six web sites he was on were porn sites and apparently the computer got a virus. The computer didn't work for a while after that. It's working fine now but whenever something happens to it, we always blame this person. It wasn't the first time he was caught looking for porn on the internet.

It happened to me before.A link from this site had a link to another site that was supposed to be like that other site but turned out being porn.

Then a few nights ago I wanted to go to sing365.com but instead put sing 356.com and it became "Hanky Panky College" LOL :p

And I took a link from a game show website that was supposed to be a game show website but ended up being porn.

I was working a midnight shift and it was slow so I figured I would look up some tv websites and I typed "Jefferson.com" for George and Weezy. Guess what? I didn't a middle aged black couple. LOL. My supervisor came over and asked what the heck I was doing? I told him I wasn't expecting that to come up. I was looking for George and Weezy. He didn't me mind me surfing since there was nothing to do but I did not expect that porn site.

I've only ever stmbled upon a porn site on one occasion ....... and yes, it was an accident.
If I wanna see porn I dont need to go online. I have digital satalite television - there are about 40 channels dedicated to the stuff so I only need turn on the TV!

I use Norton Internet Security so that my 2 little girls don't get on these sights by accident. It comes up with a screen that says access denied for this page. It has worked great so far.

AOL sort of has the same thing. The parental controls for me are general but there are some restrictions. For web browsing, it is set to "mature teen", which doesn't allow me to access sites with adult or violent content. Who needs those sites, anyway?puke:

Yeah I was gonna say that. The whitehouse.com site is not pretty, if you want the actual White House, go to whitehouse.GOV. My brother was the one who originally told me about that so I'll never make that mistake.

I used to be a really big fan of Pink (the singer) and so my friend told me to go to pinkworld.com. Let's just say it's not dedicated to Pink.

I've never mis-spelled a url and ended up on a porn site, but i've been to sites that are not porn sites, but have pop-up ads for porn. OMG talk about freakin' annoying! I've got 3 pop-up blockers to stop that from happening. And it helps! :wave:
