I'm thrilled it's coming back. I just hope they air all of the episodes this time around, or at least more than before.
Impressions 12-14-2002, 07:44 PM I'm excited that The Donna Reed Show is coming back, maybe I'll be able to own some episodes on tape this time around. I hope too, they will get around to the whole series or atleast a couple more episodes than last time, I definately would like to see this series once again and I'm satisfied that TV Land is giving this show another chance.
Sean Snow 12-14-2002, 08:07 PM Yes! I can finally watch it. Dark Shadows is moved to 8am-9am starting January 2nd, so I can timer record The Donna Reed Show at 10:00am.

Absolutely ditto on all of that.
DetectiveGriffin 12-15-2002, 01:08 AM hey you guys, i was putting this show on vcd for someone in korea last time it was on, and they only seemed to show the first season. if more than that will be shown, ill have to start getting it again!
any of you experts know if they have the rights to more than one season.
merci a whole bunch!
Pavan 12-19-2002, 04:38 PM The first 27 will air in Jan in order, from Jan 2 to Feb 1. They usually stop after episode 31, we shall see in February if they do or not.
ricardo/mertz 01-06-2003, 01:51 AM I am so glad Donna Reed is back on tv land. I've missed it.
Although I'm a little sad to see Hazel drop out of the daily line up. I really like her too.

February 13th they will go back to episode #1, again after airing the first 38. I think they did the first 31 last time, or was it the first 38 anyway first 38 are airing this time.
shan272 01-13-2003, 01:06 PM Last time Tvland aired the Donna Reed Show, they kept replaying the same ones. Will they have access to more episodes or only the first season like last time?
Coffeecup 01-17-2003, 10:41 PM yes I remember back in the 1980's they ran I believe on Nick at Nite a good portion of the series episodes. I remember the night Donna died and the channel flashed during the show We remember Donna. Some episodes I thought were really good, others so so.
Unfortunally I have seen only a handful during the run on tvland during the last few months. As you look at many shows of that time quite a few had the woman star named billed first. Then again Donna's husband ran the show. She was married 4 times and I read 2 of her son ran to canada to avoid the draft.
Coffeecup 01-17-2003, 10:46 PM Yes I like Hazel too. I am with you Richardo/Mertz.
ricardo/mertz 01-19-2003, 08:21 PM Wow, Donna was married four times. That sure doesn't sound like Donna Stone!:D
off topic
I miss Hazel. I could really do without Father Knows Best.JMO

Ditto. What I really can't stand about "Father Knows Best" is that stupid fanfare music that plays over an exterior shot of the Anderson house as theme song begins. It's like they're trying to build up suspense for a sitcom! And I hate how the logo for Robert Young's producton company zooms out in the closing credits. Very creepy.
ricardo/mertz 01-19-2003, 11:52 PM I agree, the music is unfitting for the show. I don't know what it is about that show. I have never liked it. They all seem so arrogant. I know that sounds stupid but, I can't really put it into words. Kitten seems too old to be doing the cutesy act. It's like they are all trying too hard to do what seemed to come naturally for oh let's say, Leave It To Beaver. Again, this is just my opinion.
