I've noticed that the opening music isn't always played. Tonight, for example, and I've noticed it before. Anyone know the deal with this?

View Full Version : Where's the show's opener? Janice 12-10-2002, 12:15 AM I've noticed that the opening music isn't always played. Tonight, for example, and I've noticed it before. Central Perk 12-10-2002, 04:18 PM I dunno why...I like the opener but it seems like they've only played it once...I bet CBS just wants to air more commercials.. Janice 12-10-2002, 05:19 PM I hope this isn't the start of a new trend. I like watching a show's opener. It psyches me up for the show in a sense. I tape all my shows to watch them commercial free, and when I'm watching them, I never fast forward past the opening credits. Does anyone know if other shows do this? Brian Damage 12-12-2002, 05:31 PM Well, we know Seinfeld did it.;) But the truth is, a lot of shows nowadays do not have big openings that they once did. I guess it packs a few more seconds of show and commercials. Did they abandon the opening credits altogether during its original run on Seinfeld? My memory only goes as far back as what I had for breakfast this morning, and even that's a challenge sometimes. ;) j/k |
