Does anyone know if Good Times was the only sitcom that showed no cast members in the opening credits in the first 4 seasons?

I Love Lucy never showed cast members in the opening credits. The Lucy Show didn't show cast members the first few seasons, just animated characters like I Love Lucy. I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched never showed cast members just cartoon figures.

Archie Bunker's Place didn't show anybody. Remember how they showed like the streets of New York with the cool instrumental music, but they didn't show Carroll or anybody in the opening credits.

I believe Cheers did show characters in the opening credits. I just remembered that Taxi didn't show cast members.

My Favorite Martian didn't show cast members either. They had the little cartoon martian that beeped and then it showed the actors names.

When? I don't remember that. The artestry is what is well known in the opening credits.

Cheers showed pictures of people, but I don't think any of the cast was included.

No cast members are shown in Seinfeld's opener, and only a handful in Coach.
On The Mary Tyler Moore Show, only she was shown.

Square Pegs, Welcome Back, Kotter, The Honeymooners, Dennis the Menace.

Are some of the others, that I know that haven't had their characters shown in the opening credits.

During their first season (1957-1958) Leave It To Beaver did not show any of the cast members during the opening credits. You just saw a sidewalk under construction with the cast names "written" on it.

My Three Sons, Bewitched, Family Affair, Chico & the Man.

I believe also didn't have photos of characters in their opening credits.

Depending on which version of the opening it is, you can see other cast members in the opening to "The Mary Tyler Moore Show".

Actually, Good Times in later seasons "did" show the cast members in the opening, namely from 1977 onward.

Technically, the cast members were shown during the first 3 seasons. The credits ended with the painted cast photo. Remember.

In the first episode of Who's The Boss, there were no photos of the cast members in the opening credits. In that episode's opening credits, you can't see them, but it featured Tony and Samantha driving the van to Angela's house and showed like touring of the town it took place and somewhat scenery.

I take that back. During the first few seasons the characters were pictured, even in motion. Take, for example, seeing John Boy in his room, a horn honks, and it's John the father in the car! (I believe this sequence was only used during the first season from 1972-1973.)

There were many shows throughout all the 1970s and until about 1986 that did not have photos of the cast with credits. In the first two years of Jeffersons, there were no pics. Just scenery of Eastside Manhattan.

In the first few seasons of Alice they never showed anyone but Philip McKeon and Linda Lavin.

Last of the Summer Wine (Favourite TV show!) doesn't in all the episodes I've seen.

Maude never did except for Beatrice Arthur.

For the first few seasons, Diff'rent Strokes didn't show Dana Plato or Charlotte Rae.

I think Mad About You doesn't.

Does The Nanny count since it's in cartoon form?

Though Family Dog (A Short lived Cartoon that aired on CBS during the summer in the 90s) it showed the people who were in it but didn't show their characters.

Those are all of what I can think of right now.

The short-lived sitcom "Chicken Soup" showed no castmembers in the opening credits.
