The fourth war amongst the I Love Lucy episodes is . . .
Episode #41 vs. Episode #123/"Vacation From Marriage" vs. "In Palm Springs".

Another episode war where both are great episodes! But I guess I'll pick Vacation From Marriage.

Definitely Vacation from Marriage. Though I liked Rock Hudson's part in the other one. Not enough to vote for the whole episode though.

Definitely Vacation from Marriage, Palm Springs WASTED Rock Hudson. By the way, did you know going to 21 four times in one week is 84!

That's true. But then a lot of those stars that came on were "wasted." They were just there so the show could say, "Look who we got!!!" Kinda like they do now. I hate that.

Just meant that the part was not well written, the Cornel Wilde episode would have suited Rock better, but then, i'm shocked to find out that other stars were envisioned for most of these scripts!

I think a lot of them were badly written. Charles Boyer's part was good. Um...Bill Holden's...um...I'll get back to ya.

Charles Boyer is one of the few European shows i LOVE, as for Bill Holden, it was the best of the Hollywood episodes and in my humble opinion the best show of the series. For 30 of my 50 years, i've been saying it was my all time favorite, then when everybody od'd on Vitameatavegamin and Job Switching, i figured i must be wrong! And she sure seems to enjoy working with Bill, it shows on film! Instead of that dreadful Forever Darling, they should have done another movie with Lucy and Bill!

Or Lucy and Dean Martin (although I'm not sure what kinda movie could've been made from that pairing...forgive me I'm not to familiar with his work), she loved working with him also. Afterall, the Lucy and Dean episode was the her ALL TIME fav episode.......EVER!!!

*edit*

and I guess I'll choose "Vacation from marriage" over the "Palm Springs" ep.

Dino must have charmed her the way he charmed all women! And the Lucy show they did together was one of her best shows EVER! Even the special they did in Vegas was great!

Vacation from Marriage.

On the other subject I would say Bill Holden was the all-time best Lucy guest star with Charles Boyer a strong runner-up.
