This is my first post on this board. I like I Love Lucy. And I was watching an ep today that had Ricky playing Babalu. A question popped into my mind. How many times has Ricky played Babalu on I Love Lucy?

To the best of my knowledge, MamaFan - and somebody always knows more so there might be a correction here soon! - Ricky played Babalu six times, though only once all the way through (in "The Audition"). He sang it in "The Audition" and "The Ricardos Visit Cuba" that I recall, but I've always been bad at remembering individual episodes. I think he also sung it in the episode when Lucy wanted to hire somebody to make him speak better English?

Actually the total might be seven, if he also sang it in "The 'Lost' Pilot", but I can't remember if he did or not.

I am not that much of an anorak... I looked it up, sort of! Something on an album insert, and something on an internet site - that's why I said it might be wrong.

Yeah, I've been around Sitcoms Online since October. I love this place! I've been on other boards, just not this one, till now.:)

I don't get what you mean by who am I on the other boards b/c you can only have one screen name. Mine has always been MamaFan.

Some people have different names on all the boards. I started off as En Bas on The Lucille Ball forums, went on to Splain at Babalu's site and then became OnlyoneSubject on Lucy Talk and Lucy in the classroom, and then here i learned my lesson and kept the same name! Does that prove to you how confusing it all is, i just realized i'm splain on here too!

He must have deleted it, and I'm flaming about him advertising his board on mine!:mad:

actually his old board says its in maintenance mode. maybe he's giving it an overhaul for his supposed magazine feature. what i don't understand is how any magazine would feature his site over all the other great lucy boards such as LucyTalk, Babalu's site, or here.
