Yeah, I'll agree with you on that. I also watch it for the action. I like to see what demons and other baddies they can come up with for the show. I'm a fan of the occult, so that's what first attracted me to the show.

You know when it first came out I never expected it to be a popular show. I only watched it at the beginning because of Sarah but now I watch it because the show has the best storylines, amazing villains, and really good actors.

By the way Amber Benson will not be returning this year from what I read at TV Tome which SUCKS because I'm a HUGE Tara fan. :(

I actually started watching because Sarah had the best hairstyles, make up, and costumes. I was just watching for some good tips on these things. Then, I got sucked into the storylines.

I like it cause of the action. I have the movie too. Did y'all see the movie? I loved it! So, when they came out with the show, I loved it too.

well, you should've put an 'all of the above'. i watch it because of the humor, the action, and because Sarah Michelle Gellar is incredibly hot! (amber benson? seriously, jp?). i was just watching my season 2 dvd collection yesterday, and i was awed at how too good this show was for 'the wb'. i felt sorry for the show to be dumped on such a network. and now, it sunk lower. and it's really terrible. (oh, I have season 3 on dvd now! haha!! i got it the 7th, the day it came out)

How come Alyson isn't on the poll list as being hot? Oh well. All of the above. The action and humor is great! Plus, I really love how Willow finds herself with Tara. Such a cute couple! ;)

I really love the storylines. Of course, if we really want to get technical about it, James Marsters makes me tune in to watch the show too. ;)

I really and truly owe you a big thank you. I really should add you. I'll add you in this post. I don't want to get that dreaded 'Edited by Jenny' come up on my last post. Thank you, Chris. :)

I'm just wondering how many people are like me. Who just started watching this show and had never seen one episode before until you started watching it? My first episode I caught was the 'Ted' episode w/ John Ritter and I caught that on FX about 2 weeks ago (?). I love that episode.

I've love every episode I've seen so far. Whoa that's a lot, right? lol

Idk, I have to admit that I just got into the Buffy show and I just ran out and bought the season 2 dvds. You know how long I've watched All in the Family and Sanford and Son? Yeah, pretty long but I still haven't bought the dvds for AITF or S & S. That really goes to show I like Buffy because AITF and S & S has been on my 'To Buy List' for quite awhile. Buffy kind of bumped them down a bit.

Wow and you are known for liking All in The Family. Cool I'm glad you like it. They have made so far 137 episodes. By the season is over it will be 144 episodes of Buffy, which will probably be it. I'm sure Buffy will end this year.

Yep, I really love AITF.

Does this sound bad? Buffy has had a nice long run and it will be disappointing to see the show leave, but then again if it leaves now it might go out on top.

Look at All in the Family, I like AITF and I somewhat like Archie Bunker's Place. ABP is good if you don't compare it to AITF. However, some people think ABP totally destroyed the AITF legacy. If ABP had never been done, Edith would've never died. They could've done a full reunion. Well, now they can't because Carroll O' Connor is dead and I just don't see a reunion happening without Archie Bunker. They killed the Edith character off in ABP, so they can't do a reunion movie and add Edith in again. I suppose they could do a reunion and just talk about AITF and ABP. That would work

I was a bit surprised at this but someone posted on the ABP board that if ABP had lasted for one more season, Archie would've gotten remarried. That just makes me sick to think about them really screwing the show up that way. It's always Archie and Edith to me and I just couldn't imagine Archie being married to somebody else.

Well, sorry I got a bit off topic there. I guess to sum it up, I hope Buffy and the gang go out on top.

I watch Buffy because I like the action and that it's a sci-fi show. I don't watch it all the way through though. The episode always starts off good and then the show just gets stupid after awhile. It's almost like the show isn't all that well written. It's a shame because if written well, the show could have had great potential.

Hey season 3 and season 6 was VERY well written. It was season 4 that made fans look stupid for watching the show. Season 4 was an embarrassment to Buffy.

Well, can't speak that much about season 6 yet, but season 3 is very good. Season 4 is okay so far. I see a few bright episodes mixed into the okay episodes. I don't dig the military storyline in season 4, but I guess I should appreciate that military storyline. That storyline brought Spike back, so that's def. good.

All good shows have to have one, maybe two weak seasons. If it's 3 or 4 seasons, chances are the show has jumped the shark and will never jump back. I love TAGS, but I can't stomach the last 3 seasons. It jumped and it never jumped back. Or look at LITB, some say Beaver growing older made the whole show jump the shark.

I take that back about a good show having 1 or 2 weak seasons, it's just super rare to have a show that makes each season even more delightful than the previous seasons.

I initially watched because of Sarah Michelle Gellar. What captivated me was the show's blend of comedy, action, romance, mythology, horror, and drama. "Buffy" mixes everything thats great about those genres into one irresistable package. I also grew to love and care about the characters on the show. I wanted to see what happened to them, and watching the characters grow over seven years was fantastic.

for the skill of the actors

I love the story itself but I think that only the skill of the actors have really great rest of the show!

only them, there are very good actors like James Marsters
or David Boreanaz

and many more ...

all were able to give grandeur to the characters and through them almost no character is saying, or boring.

but also for the humor and action

and finally, but not least, Shara is a crash!

lack of characters I can think of Adam, Riley, potential slayers, the anointed .. but apart from them ...

I actually liked Alyson Hannigan before she was cast in Buffy, and that's why I watched the show when it originally aired... I think Alyson, as the person she was when she was cast in the show (not who she changed into during the course of it), would have been better cast as the character Buffy (and vice versa for SMG)... but Buffy will always be Kristy Swanson to me, so it doesn't really matter... I'm no longer an Alyson Hannigan fan, and don't watch the show these days, or own it on DVD, unlike the (inferior) movie, which has a lead star I'm still a big fan of... and was before Buffy the movie... and her Playboy shoot... err, strictly KS fans... not really here...

It was such a well written show and really and truthfully captured the horror of high school. It also had some of the most memorable chracters to ever appear on tv.
