ok. so about a week ago my computer gets all screwed up, again. it turns out something's corrupted and i have to run the sony recovery cd that came with the computer. it's going to erase everything. does that include the sites on my favorite lists or not? i'm gonna click "existing member" when i run msn again. i don't think it will get deleted, but i'm not sure. so, will it?

Actually it depends . . . if the favorite list on MSN is stored on the MSN servers/stuff/thingamajigs then it won't. But if MSN stores the favorite lists on your computer, then it's gone. I'm not familiar with MSN since I have Compuserve, but someone else may be able to explain it further.

I'm not really sure if this will help in your case, but if it's just one program that is corrupted can you go to Add/Remove Programs and remove the corrupted file through there? Then go through all of your stuff in your my computer folders and stuff like that and delete anything else associated with that corrupted file? I thought I was gonna have to reload everything back into my computer because of that damn E Anthology bug, but I kept playing around with different functions and it seemed to get rid of most of it. If you've read my rant post over on the complain thread, you'll see I had one file that wouldn't delete. Kept saying it was write protected. I finally got rid of it after deleting another program.

I hope that helps.

well, the guy said that i had to delete everything. so, i don't think that would've worked for me. but, i'll remember that for next time, i hope there's not a next time. thanks.
i ran the cd and everything's ok now. i didn't loose my favorites though. :D

That's too bad you had to delete everything. I'm glad you got the problem fixed though.
