I added an article I found in an entertainment magazine from 1976 to my photo albums in Yahoo. You can access it at

Click on the Freddie Article album - to read the article easily, click on image, then click on larger image again to get the largest image. Sorry for any inconvenience for not posting it on the board ...if anyone would like to feel free to do so...there is no order restriction. Enjoy!

I'm sorry...it looks like the view on the article isn't very readable. It's clear in my image files but not in the Yahoo album so ....Peko....how do I get it to you?

Very good article wheeeone! I found it interesting when Freddie said he expected to be around for a "long, long time!" It does confirm everyones theory about him growing up so fast in a celebrity-driven environment.
By the way, do you know who won the best actor in a comedy series that year? Since both Jack and Freddie were nominated I wondered who actually won. Anyone remember?

Awesome article Wheeeone. Thank you for this. The pictures are great and the article was a fantastic read. I love the opening photo with his finger up to his lips...so deep in thought. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif You Go Girl!!!

Wheeeone,
May I have the article for my site? it's so hard to find informative articles on Freddie that everyone hasn't seen everywhere. I would definitely give you full credit, of course. The pictures are so great. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Wheeone.... I loved the article. It bought me back, way back to 1976 when he was a **STAR**. Thanks for posting it! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

That article was great!!
it was sad though when Freddie said he was in it for a long time and the wrter of the article wrote about many seasons in the future.
Thanks for sharing

Thank you all for the positive feedback on the article! Chicosladyfair and Peko, I've e-mailed the file attachments to both of you to put on your site's. I am in awe of you for the work you put into your site's because just putting them in the photo album is exhausting enough for me.LOL
Cat, I know Jack won either in 1975 or 1976 but Freddie was only nominated in 1976.
The collector's show I bought the magazine at had about 100 vendors and my husband said I owed him big for pouring over all the magazine issues trying to find ones from the years Freddie was around. We were down to the second to last vendor when halfway through looking through his boxes my legs finally said no more and were starting to spasm when we found the magazine. It was worth the pain when I saw how long the article was and of course that gorgeous opening picture. I did get a couple of referrals from the vendor's for a couple of shops in Hollywood that have Chico scripts and Freddie's signature from a contract. I will be checking those out soon....send out the great vibrations of this board to have something more I can share...

Thanks so much, Wheeeone - I really appreciate you doing this. You mentioned some referrells for Freddie contracts, etc. I saw a signed contract on Ebay. It was from the William Morris agency. It's pretty pricey though!

I saw that too & would love to have it! Anyone want to donate to me so I can get it. If 50 folks donate $1 each, I can have the money to get it with. Send all donations to: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

I saw up for bid recnetly an old Tiger Beat magazine from 1975 with Freddie ont he cover & in it. I bid on it & had the high bid. Was confident I'd win. Later that nite I discoverd I had been outbid by 50 cents! Had I known I would've made my most Icould pay as higher. Just as soon as I left for church they out bid me! Rev. Bemis would be mad LOL!

I wrote the person selling it asking them if they could possibly Xerox or scan the stuff on Freddie from it for me & send to me & I could pay them, explaining hteo them I really wanted the magazine but got outbid while I was gone & had wanted to use the stuff from it for my site as well as my personal collection. Good news is that the person wrote me back, a lady & she can Xerox the stuff for me & send it to me & she said she'd do it for free which was nice of her! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Unfortunately her scanner is broke (I guess she had to use a digital camera take a pic of the mag for the da). But at least I will have some sort of copy of it for my collection & site! That was nice of her to do that for me! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
