And I would remove the Brady Bunch. And I would replace them with Laverne and Shirley on N@N AND Different Strokes on TV LAND. LucyFan 12-05-2002, 10:26 PM I wouldn't take off a show on Nick at Nite but instead make room for other shows such as Laverne and Shirley that haven't aired for awhile. Here is my suggestion schedule: 9:00 PM "Perfect Strangers" 9:30 PM "Perfect Strangers" 10:00 PM "Cheers" 10:30 PM "The Cosby Show" 11:00 PM "Three's Company" 11:30 PM "Laverne & Shirley" 12:00 AM "Coach" 12:30 AM "Family Ties" 1:00 AM "Perfect Stangers" 1:30 AM "Charles In Charge" 2:00 AM "All in the Family" 2:30 AM "The Brady Bunch" 3:00 AM "Happy Days" 3:30 AM "Laverne & Shirley" 4:00 AM "Three's Company" 4:30 AM "Cheers" 5:00 AM "The Cosby Show" 5:30 AM "Kids Say the Darnest Things" I would take off the Barney Miller show on TV Land and replace it with an airing of The Lucy Show. ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 12-06-2002, 02:57 AM Id take off Cheers, but to be fair to the Cheers fans, only 3 per nite. They can deal with one. As for TVLAND...doesnt matter to me. A Western I guess. I dont really care. As long as they keep MY shows airing, Im happy.:) Scoobiedoo30 12-06-2002, 03:50 AM I would Not not take a show off of Nick@nite or TV-Land but if A show Contract would expire with TV-Land or Nick@Nite I would Add 227 on Nick@Nite and Both Benson and Trapper John M.D. on TV-Land Schedule if i was in charge of Nick@Nite and TV-Land. Take Care and God Bless Aaron mashunter18 12-06-2002, 11:52 AM I would definitely ditch cosby show on nick.I think they should run one hour of each show per night,to appeal to all fans. They could air 9 shows this way.I think tvland is fine dont watch it that often, except for happy days and archie bunkers place.:D :D Sitcomwriter 12-06-2002, 03:45 PM N@N The Cosby Show TV Land The Andy Griffith Show TVgen62 12-07-2002, 02:45 AM Since All in the Family is the only reason I watch Nick @ Nite anymore, here's what I'd do: 1.) Take The Love Boat off TV Land; put it on Nick @ Nite. :jar: Now I can safely block Nick @ Nite from the TV remote :bye: , confident that I'm not missing anything worthwhile. TNN should be a place for classic sitcoms, all the time. Ok, that doesn't seem good to you all, I know, but we don't have a place for classic sitcom fans to turn too to catch nothing but classic sitcoms all the time. TV LAND is almost perfect, but still, I'd make a few changes. All In The Family will definately find a new home to TV LAND or TNN. Did you hear the latest gossip? The only new stations they ever add is either a food channel, home shopping channel, or a sports channel. They love those sports channels. They even have them lined up together. Like 16 used to be CMT (country music channel) and they moved CMT to channel 52 and 16 is now a sports channel. Hallmark used to be channel 22 over here until they decided to add Fox Sports Net. So they put FSN in that spot and booted Hallmark over to channel 96. My channels only go up to 37, then they skip a few in between and decided to make Hallmark 96. Pretty smart idea to move it to an obscure channel number like that, isn't it? DarleneIllyria 12-09-2002, 02:04 AM Originally posted by Original Prankster That's exactly what happened to me. I'm not sure if they do it now, but I remember them putting some channels on like 74 before we even had any channels in the 70s range. *Note* Just because I have 70 something stations doesn't mean that they are all worthy stations. SNLROCKS 12-09-2002, 07:31 PM Probably Coach of N@N and Beverly Hillbillies on TVLAND..it's just been shown too long. TVJunkie101 12-09-2002, 07:51 PM Okay. What Viacom needs to do (I say Viacom, because, basically, Viacom owns TNN, Nick and TV Land) is move the modern hits over to TNN, like this: 9:00AM Kids Say (Get it off Nick at Nite ASAP!) 10:00AM Coach 11:00AM Family Ties 12:00PM Cheers 1:00PM Cosby Show Or just gid rid of Kids Say permantely, LOL. Nick needs to go back and add EARLY 80s sitcoms, and air more than a few episodes (I.E. more Silver Spoons, 227, etc.) 8:00PM Alf 8:30PM Silver Spoons 9:00PM Webster 9:30PM 227 10:00PM Diff'rent Strokes 10:30PM Perfect Strangers 11:00PM Alice 11:30PM One Day at a Time 12:00AM Too Close for Comfort 12:30AM Archie Bunker's Place 1:00AM Benson 1:30AM Soap 2:00AM Mr. Belvedere 2:30AM What's Happening!! Maybe not in that order, but you guys get my drift. Or how about keeping the modern hits on Nick at Nite and adding those to TNN. Just another scenario. TV Land. Needs to either A) get rid of Twice as Nice, or B) put it back on in the mornings so we can have some variety in between, like this: (I'm using January 2003's schedule as an example) 7:00AM Gilligan's Island 8:00AM Brady Bunch 9:00AM Happy Days 10:00AM Sanford and Son 11:00AM Leave it to Beaver Blah blah blah 3:00PM Batman 3:30PM Get Smart 4:00PM Barney Miller 4:30PM Bob Newhart 5:00PM Mary Tyler Moore Show 5:30PM Dick Van Dyke 6:00PM I Love Lucy 6:30PM Leave it to Beaver 7:00PM Andy Griffith 7:30PM Mayberry, RFD Frankly, I like that scenario better than having the 3-8 block in the A.M. and the 7am-12:00pm block in the afternoon, gives us a break before primetime, which features ALL of the shows in Twice as Nice. So, like my ideas? Hate them? Inputs are welcome. I think those are all reality based observations and suggestions that Viacom could make to their respective networks. I for one would be happy, but I ain't holding my breath! LOL. Ya know, no double take crap, no multiple airings of shows in prime-time constanly pushing others back, no skipping of so called "taboo" episodes for N@N. And I still liked your sked Shawn, I just wanted to put in my two cents. :p Edited because I had to add more. DarleneIllyria 12-10-2002, 02:11 AM I like the schedules. They show a little variety. We were talking about this over on the Archie Bunker's Place board. I don't mind them trying to change their image and add newer shows, but when they buy shows that are shown millions of times on several stations for like 10 years that's the problem. I swear, I'm not trying to piss anybody off. I dread the days when Full House comes to N @ N. I admit I used to like it when I was kid. Now I don't even like it. However, it's just that it was so overplayed in syndication on WGN and TBS that I'm sure a lot of people are sick and disgusted about it. They could've picked up a rare 80s show. I might not like the show they picked, but I'd rather watch anything than watch something that has been shown for the past 10 years. That's another problem with TVL. They pick up these shows that have been on like 4 or 5 different stations. Let me use Gilligan's Island for an example. GI has been shown on TBS, Turner South, TNT, TVL, and Nick at Nite. It's just my opinion, but that show has been shown on so many stations that I wished it would take a break and let us have a new and rare show to add to the mix. |
