View Full Version : Can anyone help me????
wheeeone 06-25-2001, 12:25 PM I'm putting out a plea to anyone on this wonderful board who can tell me how to post an article I've scanned into my files onto the board. I went to a Hollywood Memorabilia Collector's show this weekend and was able to find a magazine from 1976 with a four page article/interview with Freddie that I haven't seen anywhere else. I've scanned it in to my files but don't have a clue as to how to post it to the board. Peko, Croiter, Chicosladyfair.....any one of our talented board members.....PLEASE clue me in as I would like to share the article with everyone. Thank you in advance for your knowledge!
chicosladyfair 06-25-2001, 12:29 PM Wheeeone,
I have never scanned anything here on the board. Cheryl Harrell has and she'd be the one to talk to. All I remember her saying is something about the UBB code. Sorry.
By the way, where is Cheryl? http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
wheeeone 06-25-2001, 12:38 PM Thank you for your quick response chicosladyfair...Cheryl....anyone.... please give us the gift of your wisdom and expertise on this subject.....
Tracy-Prinze 06-25-2001, 01:29 PM Thank you Cheryl for your expertise, you are a great teacher.
For Example: http://www.infopop.com/artwork/footer_logo_type.gif
1. The "http" is required
2. You may display your image onto your web site first.
3. Then follow the "For Example" instructions.
The image is in the center.
Tracy-Prinze 06-25-2001, 01:34 PM The Ubb code: in front of the image and [/] after the image.
For Example: [img] place the URL here
Luckymama58 06-25-2001, 01:42 PM hey Tracy I was trying to do this a few days ago myself. I guess the only way to post anything you scan is to have your own website then? I don't BTW. No time! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

wheeeone 06-26-2001, 02:25 PM Thank you everyone for your info! Peko, The least frustrating thing for me to do was just move the article to my photo albums on Yahoo. If you would like it for your site, feel free to use it..I do not need credit for finding it...just trying to get info out anyway I can.
chicosladyfair 06-26-2001, 04:12 PM Wheeeone, can I have the article for my site too? http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Please? It's so hard to find new articles and pics of Freddie that aren't already posted everywhere.
Cheryl Harrell 06-26-2001, 05:24 PM They are right. The only way I know to do it is to upload it to your site. Then go to the help on there boards (You'll see it at the top) & click on it & look for for the ubb codes & use those to put it on here. You can also search for the past messages that tell how to do this. Hope I've helped! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Cheryl Harrell 06-26-2001, 05:27 PM I wish they had those kind of shows around here in VA. Hope ya don't mind me borrowing the article to put on my site. I saved the pics from it by themselves too so I can put them on my site. I love the one where he is smiling so cute...

wheeeone 06-27-2001, 02:34 AM Chicosladyfair,
Just let me know if I need to do anything for you to get it to your site....the more info out there the better.
wheeeone 06-27-2001, 03:17 AM Cheryl,
I don't mind at all...just get it out there for everyone to share.
Cheryl Harrell 06-27-2001, 06:25 AM Thanks! The pics are so cute by themselves, that I hope to have some o them by themselvs without the article on the site. It is alot of work-- the site. I HATE HOMESTEAD for deciding to charge for having more than 3 sites & more than 3 pages on the sites. They are causing me alot of work. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif
