People's Choice Awards will air Sunday January 12, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS:

Favorite New Television Comedy Series
"The Bernie Mac Show"
"Cedric the Entertainer Presents"
"8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter"

Why Bernie Mac? That show isn't even new, it's the second season for it. 8 Simple Rules will win this for sure.

At that link, u can vote for Favorite New Comedy and Favorite New Drama. I voted already...and had a tough time deciding in the Comedy category. I picked Presidio Med for drama, but didn't know whether to pick Cedric The Entertainer Presents or 8SR. In the end, I decided to vote for Cedric, just because more episodes have been great than there have been for 8SR. Sorry 8SR fanatics.

If you show up to the People's Choice show, you'll get an award.

As for the Emmy....I don't want to be mean but I really don't think the Academy would nominate a show like 8SR. 8SR doesn't seem like Emmy material and that's not even a bad thing. 8SR is just a fun show to watch.

THANKYOU!!!! Finally someone agrees with me that 8SR is NOT emmy material. It is just a little fun show to watch. Yes, it's people's choice material...but not emmy. You'll see last years show's get nominated...or Frasier will get a best series nom again. U won't see this get ANY nominations most likely. The emmy comittee has NEVER been kind to ABC.

I'm not counting on 8SR to get a best series nom this season, it's only a rookie. John Ritter for Best Actor is very likely though. Print Ads are even being made...good sign.

I agree. It's not Emmy material.I think Bernie will win though.I would have nominated Good Morning Miami,Still Standing or EVEN Hidden Hills for best new comedy (Those would most likely be my 3 votes. My 3rd favorite new show is Half & Half but that wouldn't be nominated.Hidden Hills is more award show material of course Shasta McNasty was nominated for best new comedy a few years back LOL!)

Even though it's not technically a new show, there is a legion of Bernie fanatics that will vote. You never know...but my guess that that 8SR will probably win anyway. Cedric, the best show of the nominees gets no attention...although it really should.

That's ok...I forgive you for voting for Cedric instead of 8SR. For new comedy, I voted for 8SR (of course) and for drama I voted for Everwood! Everwood rocks too!
