If Elvis and all the Beatles were still alive today and still performing.. who do you think would be more popular? They were both from different decades and sang different types of music.. so who do you think would still be really popular?

IMO, Beatles would be just as popular because of how Paul has been going along. But, then again ALL FOUR would still be alive.. so who knows if they would have gotten back together. Also, Elvis would be really popular too. As much as I like Elvis more than the Beatles, I think the Beatles would be a bit more popular.

Of course my personal opinion...........The Beatles!

Although there are still a lot of Elvis fans out there from the 50's generation!

But really, Elvis was really hokey!

I love Elvis, but the Beatles would have been bigger and better.

Elvis was going downhill before his death.

Yeah, Elvis was going downhill before his death. It's a pity too. I see clips of him during his last few concerts and he just looks like hell. I liked his 70s music best out of the years he did music. The 50s were okay, the 60s were filled with the cheesy movie years, but the 70s still had the good music.

Just wondering, but do we have any other Elvis fans on the board that like his music and like him, but hate his movies? j/w

I'm going to try to answer this with as little bias as possible, but I believe that the Beatles would be more popular if they came back (assuming John and George never died) because they went away from the music scene at the top, unlike Elvis (also assuming he never died) who left on his way to the bottom.

Yeah, I love Elvis! Not as much as Beach Boys-- LOL. But yeah, I remember back in August they aired his movie. Ugh, kinda sucked IMO. His music rocks, but I dont think Ill be watching another one of his movies anytime soon. I also know Crimson&Clover is a HUGE Elvis fan.

Yeah, if you've seen one E movie it's pretty much like seeing them all. Same thing happens in just about every one of them. The only difference is you have different chicks in the movies. His last true movie was pretty good though. It had a different formula than the other movies. It's called Change of Habit, I think. It's got Mary Tyler Moore in it too. It was decent, but if you compare them to all the other movies- it was the best.

I think the Beatles would be more popular. For one thing I think the Beatles would have had a bigger range of music, because they have 4 people, 4 different tastes, and musical ideas that would lead to one great collaboration.

The Beatles would be more popular. Just compair the last two compilations:

The Bealtes 1, I believe, was the number one album for several weeks on the US billboard album charts as well as most all global charts.

Elvis 1 was #1 in practically every country but the US. It seems Elvis is more popular overseas than he is in the states!

The Beatles: Singers/songwriters, talented musicians
Elvis: Manufactured, used his guitar as a prop, ect.

Elvis was a good singer, but the beatles had true musical talent! Therefore, the fab four would still be top!

THE BEATLES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, of course, the Beatles were influenced by Elvis big time, but
Elvis had a funny way of showing his loyalty to bands he inspired:
he told President Nixon that the Beatles were influencing people to take drugs and their activities should be monitored...all the while, he had a bad drug problem himself.

Elvis. Especially '50s Elvis. True, unrefined Rock 'n' Roll (The Beatles & other mid-'60s bands did "Rock" not really true "Rock 'n' Roll.")
