The Hallmark Channel has removed ALF from it's line-up in December. Now Saturdays at 6 and 6:30AM is Bewitched starting December 14. For the full Hallmark December schedule, check out the General Sitcoms board.

I figured it would be on hiatus again, not many times do they give this show a chance to air, but with all the new shows moving-in, it's hard to find a time-slot for everyone one of their shows. I hope the January will have hopefully The Facts of Life or a sign of ALF back again, but it's still to hard to tell, at this point.

youd think with ALFs new popularity in the punk/emo world... as well as with the 10 10 220 ads, theyd put him on.

I like ALF too. For some reason, I always thought my Uncle Jim played his voice (it's freaky! ) It sounded exactly like him.
But whaddya mean "Stupid Bewitched."?!
Blame the schedulers, not the show.

By Stupid Bewitched - I mean just that! I mean, all Hallmark is playing now are corny 60s shows like Bewitched, Jeannie, Hogan's Heroes (double yuck!) & Beverly Hillbillies! I mean, no offense to anyone who likes those shows, but they are over-played!!! I did once enjoy those shows, but now they're getting on my nerves. I rarely ever find myself actually laughing at any 60s sitcom (with The Lucy Show as an exception), and I usually laugh only because of the sheer stupidity at times! Sorry, but I think Hallmark has made a big blunder by removing ALF. To me, it was their one redeeming factor, and now they're opting for over-played, unfunny, brain-rotting, surreal 60s junk! I know that sounds harsh, but when you're a true fan of something, and it's taken away, nothing seems too harsh. It was bad enough they only played it once a week, but now they aren't playing it at all!!! I'm outraged!

Also, when you're a true fan of something, you don't appreciate having it dissed. :(

BTW, Bewitched is down from something like 5 times per day (!) to 1 time per week. The reason they had it on so much was because it got really high ratings (apparently it wasn't "brain-rotting junk".) So they scheduled it into overkill.

It's good to have an opinion, but don't have an everlasting grudge against Bewitched just because of this. You're missing out a a great show, believe me (in the earlier years, anyway.) And hey; I like ALF, so I'd say my taste in TV is pretty darn good. ;)

Surreal '80s shows harken back to surreal '60s shows, and if it wasn't for shows like Bewitched that set the trend, ALF wouldn't even have existed.

True fans of a show realize that complaining about another show won't get their own fave show back on the air..... especially one that's a cash cow for Hallmark. Besides, Bewitched is leaving Hallmark anyway at the end of this month. It'll end up on TVLAND. I think ALF would make a great addition to Nick at Nite. :D

So instead wasting energy by dissing MY show (;) ), try flooding N@N with emails requesting ALF. I have a feeling you'll get your wish.... I'll twitch my nose to help. :happyface

I'm not trying to diss anything - like I said in my post, I meant no offense and I did at one point enjoy those shows. And, out of the ones I mentioned, Bewitched would have to be my favorite, but like I also said, I don't get the biggest kick out of any 60s show, but by my saying that, I'm not trying to offend or diss anything, it is just my opinion. You know, this has happened to me on other boards, where what I say is not meant to offend anyone in the least, yet people get so offended and take it so personally that major conflicts have resulted where absolutely nothing was meant to happen. I just have strong opinions and I'm outspoken, but it's not meant to be rude at all - trust me! No matter how rude I may seem, I am not that kind of person, so I'm sorry if you took this the wrong way, I was just still stewing over ALF being cancelled, but I realized that I have gotten a total of 59 episodes of it on tape this year, so at least that's better than nothing I guess...

Weeelllll......

I know you're not trying to be rude, and I don't want to be added in anyone's "conflicts" list either. ;) But reading your post, it's kinda easy to see why a huge BW fan would get annoyed...... What if the situation were the other way around, and I said the same things about ALF (which I wouldn't anyway; just trying to point it out). It would get a similar reaction, wouldn't it?

Oh well. It's over with now. Good luck in the future. :)
