On the E true story Kathy said she told Freddie"this is gonna stop no more (drugs)when we bring the child home"
If she knew Freddie was on drugs i wish she would have told Freddie before they tried to Have a baby(since they wern't married yet anyway) that I don't think we should have a child together until we get you help for drugs first.
I don't say this to be unkind or that I don't think FPJr should have been born,I was just thinking,
If she refused till he got help, he may have gotten help,
there would have been less stress on the relationship,
Kathy may not have felt the need for 24 hour maid service-thus alleviating a little financial burden from Freddie and let's not forget, Freddie Jr may not have had to grow up without a dad.
I think,Freddie was "too old"too fast but not really old enough to do all that he thought he was ready for.
Am I making any sense to anyone?

Doesn't it seem that their relationship moved along too fast? They really didn't have a chance to get to know each other well enough to make a lifetime commitment to one another. Sometimes people think that if they get married they can change the other person in the way they want them to change. Kathy possibly thought she could make Freddie happy enough to make him forget about his drugs. Unfortunately that was not the way it was. Freddie was so young and things were moving so fast for him that being impulsive on top of everything else made him turn to the drugs more. I wonder if Kathy used them when they'd go out
with other couples that used them. I think too that she was caught up in all the celebrity-hood fantasy and didn't realize what she was getting herself into. They just simply moved into marriage too fast.

I think she got caught up in all the "status" stuff and they did rush into marriage. A friend and I were talking on the phone last night and the subject of Kathy and Freddie came up. Do the math, folks. Married in Oct.75 and baby born March76. My question to my friend was, "If she hadn't became pregnant do you think they would have gotten married at all?" My friend's answer was "NO!" I agree.

But Freddie was a Good Guy and that's why he married Kathy. He never left her pregnant and on her own like some men do. He was noble and a true gentleman!

According to maria;s book she stated that they wanted to have a baby,they tried and got it on the first try,Freddie told Maria matter of factly a short time later that they were going to get married now that the baby was coming.
I also find it ironic that Freddie told his mom after he met Kathy that they wern;t going to rush into anything just take it slow,wern't going to rush into anything? That'ds just what they did.
If Kathy knew Freddie was on drugs why would she even agree to trying to have a child with Freddie until he got help,seems like your just asking for trouble.

That's right Joy, why would she go ahead and marry Freddie if she objected to the drug use? I wonder if Freddie wasn't famous and they were in the same position, would she have married him? I think we all know the answer to that one!
