View Full Version : I'm trying to figure out why TBS refuses to show episodes from the first season
TVFactFan 12-03-2002, 08:29 PM I cannot believe that TBS does not want to show episodes with Lisa Bonet. They started to show episodes from season one back in October and they wet back to showing episodes from 2 to 6. I just can't understand it because i was too young to remember the Cosby show/Different World crossover episodes and would like to record them. I just do't know what's wrong with this network.
cutie 12-04-2002, 05:01 PM I can't believe it either. Those are like the best eoisodes I saw them last year but I didn't tape them(I don't know what I was thinking) I hope I don't have to wait another year to see them!!
TVJunkie101 12-04-2002, 05:29 PM They usually always play the first season. Strange they aren't this time around. *shrugs* could be the same thing Nick at Nite is doing with Three's Company. Networks are only allowed to show an episode a certain amount of times. I know, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. But maybe TBS is just saving the airing rights? It is confusing, so hopefully someone else like Pav knows a little more and can explain it better than I can, or hey, maybe TBS is just skipping them to skip them, LOL.

I remember back in October that TBS started from the beginning by showing the first two episodes and then started showing Christmas episodes. I couldn't believe it.

I just don't believe some networks anymore, you know? Constantly skipping over episodes, and now even seasons. The two most frustrating for me are The Munsters and Mama's Family. TV Land refuses to air episode #53 of The Munsters, and TBS hasn't aired episode #21 of Mama's Family for at least 2 years. Why they do this, I'll never know. #21 of Mama's Family isn't even "controversial" and TBS doesn't care about that either. It's so frustrating when you're trying to tape all the episodes of a show and they skip just ONE episode of the entire series, LOL.
ThomasE 12-05-2002, 08:51 PM I have the first two season of the Mama's Fam in it's entirety. What is ep 21?
BTW, I did not want to believe it with the eps of ADW being skipped either but I tuned in and noticed eps from the 88-89 season being played.. I am glad I have the NBC originals from 1987-1988

Would you be willing to make me a copy of one of the Cosby Show/different World crossover episodes? The episode-My Dinner With Theo

The episode of Mama's Family TBS always skips over (they HAVE played it before, but not in the past year or 2) is Aunt Gert Rides Again, or Gert Rides Again.

angel676 12-24-2002, 09:36 PM I'm not sure about most of you, but I thought TBS was airing the 1st season,
I thought they aired most of the 1st season a while ago, but not all of them.
misterblowhole 03-08-2003, 02:09 AM I remember seeing the entire first season a few times on TBS back in 2000-2001.
