How did you feel about the several changes on DS Did you like or hate any of them? For instance, the penthouse refurbishing, the new opening theme music, the cast changes, etc, etc.
I personally didn't like most of the changes they made. I didn't mind Dixie Carter as Maggie, but hated the Sam character and Mary Anne Mobley as Maggie.

There are 2 ways of looking at some of the changes, on the one hand they made the show a little less likeable at times but on the other hand if the changes hadn't been made the show may have just stopped working, I think all shows need to make occasionall changes otherwise they stop working.
eg- Facts OF Life needed to move from school, to shop etc as the girls grew up.
Answers to your questions-
I liked the new version of the theme song
Maggie and Sam were not a perfect addition but they were not bad either
The pernhouse makeover looked ok.

I loved those changes. I loved the new theme song. It is my favorite and liked Maryanne Mobley. I wonder how she got the part of Maggie, though?

I liked the up-beat of the rythm of the new version of the theme song, but I liked the original better, but a start on a new season represented a fresh new start on things, it took the show to new heights with the cast changes. With the addition to Maggie and Sam, things were different from in the household. The revamped penthouse wasn't a bad remodel with a few minor changers I think it looks fine. Sam was okay, but I wouldn't say he was the best, he had his strong and weak points. Maggie was fine also, but things were moving along, things weren't the same anymore, but it gave the show a new edge.

I liked The 1985 theme it sounded pretty good. I could compose another theme with a saxaphone for 1978 version with an instrumental of the 1979 ending for like say Season 10. Maggie 84 was alot more brasser than Maggie 85. I like the penthouse change cause it represented that were doing something new. I have always hated that Willis and Arnold never did much together after the middle of season 6 and I think Kimberly could have been pregnant on the show and had the baby on the finale. When they moved to ABC the show was about the range of the 1979-80 season in my opinion cause Arnold was basically like Willis except he wasn't as nieve.
