I got to see the first "Pickles" today and even found out her "real" first name..."Viona". (I put the explaination of how she became to be known as "Pickles" up on the website on the favorite line's page). I thought she was more "bubbly" than the second Pickles. More ditzy LOL  I'm amazed that I'm just noticing all these changes, now. Two really good favorite lines happened in this episode today, so they're both up on the site. This was a really fun episode. Anyone's thoughts? Its the one where the guys take Sally for granted and Rob makes the effort to make her feel like a "girl"...

You know what. I agree with you.

As I was watching the episode last night I thought both Pickles and Jamie Farr were fun characters. They both appeared in a few episodes that first season.

But as I have read the writers of DVD thought they had too many characters already and did not want too have to write for them all.

But both characters were fun. So was Marty Ingles but he left to do his own show. I'm Dickens He's Fenster.

:nonono: Marty Ingels was *not* in "I'm Dickens, he's Fenster". It was two other guys (who's names escape me at the moment). They didnt last long...too much of a Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis rip-off. :argue:

Well pickles Sorrell as I watch the tapes I have of I'm Dickens he's fenster and watch the credits list Marty Ingles as the co star I would have to say you are wrong about that.

Here is the link if you still do not believe me.

You should really check out your facts before pointing out someone made a mistake , specially when you are the one mistaken. Sorry for being harsh.

But with I'm Dickens he's fenster I happen to own over 20 episodes.

This is always an argument. Just because Marty Ingalls had a RECURRING GUEST ROLE on this show, they keep getting him mixed up with Marty whats-his-face with the wild hair. This was a show I watched with my dad when I was a kid. I believe the other guys name was Martin Rossi or something to that effect, but he was not the MAIN Fenster character that you referred to begin with... :rolleyes2:

And you dont have to be so RUDE peace:

Pickles I will intervene in a nice way.

Marty Ingles was Arch Fenster and appeared in 2 1st season episodes of DVD show as Sol Pomeroy.

It even states this in a book you should go out and get about the DVD show and gives a detailed description of every episode.

It states in the episode guide that after Marty's last appearence as Sol Pomeroy he went on to co star as Arch Fenster in I'm Dickesn he's Fenster.

I am sure anyone with the book can tell you that and you should get a copy for yourself.

It was written by Mark Waldron. The Official DVD show book. It is on ebay and here is a link to one.

Okay. When I'm wrong, I admit it. But I am not *entirely* wrong, here and I'll explain where the mix-up came from. Marty ALLEN and STEVE Rossi (not Martin like I thought) used to do a show called "Toast of the Town". And they used to do skits together during this variety show and one of their running skits was a parody of the "Dickens/Fenster" show, with Allen doing the Fenster part. I was 3-4 years old at the time, so its no wonder why my memory was fuzzy on the details.

But thats no excuse for dzadro to be rude.

Barneyfife, thank you for being polite about your correction, prompting me to go and check it out. I appreciate it.

dzadro, you are a rude jacka$$ and anytime you reply to anything on this board, you will be ignored. There's no excuse for it. It doesnt accomplish anything. To come around and act like you know everything makes you like like the jerk...not me. A persistant yet polite disagreement works far better than a bunch of smarta$$ed, rude comments. But you're probably the type person who doesnt care, because you think everyone else is stupid and beneath you. Well, let me give you a bit of information that ANYone can back up...knowing alot isnt what makes you a great person. Its what you do with your information, that counts.

Yes, Pickles name was Fiona. It was probably just a typo, since the "f" and "v" keys are adjacent to each other.

All I know is I saw her lips say "V"iona. There's a distinction with the useage of the bottom lip when one uses either a "V" or an "F". This was brought up to me years ago by a deaf friend who read lip's and I saw (the first) Pickles distinctly say "V"iona three times and I watched closely the second and third time when the name was said because the name "Viona" was so unique...I wanted to be sure that's what she said...

But, I'll go back to my friend and see if I can't get a copy of this episode and have him look at it. It's just something I want to be sure about, for personal reasons...
