Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars are seen in one of television’s longest-running series of specials, Dick Clark’s “Bloopers.” Hosted by Dick Clark and featuring a special guest appearance by Diedrich Bader ("The Drew Carey Show") and Mo’Nique (“The Parkers”), the special will air THURSDAY, DECEMBER
19 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. (Rebroadcast. OAD: 5/17/02)
“Instant Classic Bloopers” features comic out-takes from popular television series, news broadcasts and commercials. Using film and tape segments, viewers will be treated to bleeped ad-libs, forgotten lines and uncontrollable laughter on some of television’s favorite stars. Diedrich Bader introduces a series of bloopers from his own “The Drew Carey Show,” and Mo’Nique of “The Parkers” presents some ad-libs from her show
as well.
Among the other shows featured will be “Dharma & Greg,” “Malcolm in the Middle,” “Becker,” “Reba,” “Spin City,” “Girlfriends,” “The Hughleys,” “Sabrina The Teenage Witch” and “As the World Turns.”
There is also a special segment dedicated to the late comedic genius, Milton Berle. Clark fondly remembers Berle -- who appeared on the first “Bloopers” special ever -- by sharing some clips from his past television appearances, including “The Milton Berle Show.”
Other celebrities who will be seen include Terry Farrell, Rhea Perlman, Jenna Elfman, Drew Carey, Ryan Stiles, Christa Miller, Kathy Kinney, Henry Winkler, Mr. T, D.L. Hughley, Elise Neal, John Henton, Jason Alexander, Jack Benny, Martha Raye, Countess Vaughn, Dorian Wilson, Nancy Wilson, Reba McEntire, Melissa Joan Hart, Caroline Rhea, Heather Locklear, Charlie Sheen, John Madden and Kevin Bacon.
Dick Clark and Al Schwartz are the executive producers of “Instant Classic Bloopers,” with Schwartz also directing. The producer and writer is Barry Adelman.
