I don't at all understand the ep about the crooks Artie, Louie, Gus, and Sid who robbed the museum in 1906. The parrot was imitating their voices? How did the newspaper, box of crackers, ect. get on the island? Anybody

well, i guess the bad guys hid out on the island....and then who knows what happened to them? they might have died there or got away again on a boat and left poor sam.....who knows? what i'd like to know is how almost 60 year old crackers are still good....and why gilligan would even want to eat one.

Yeah, pretty much. The bank robbers hid out on the island. Then probably left after the coast was clear. Sam was just repeating what he had overheard while the robbers were on the island. They left the newspaper and crackers there. **shrug**

As was typical of the ineptly written episodes of the show, I can't recall even understanding why the parrot reacted every time someone said "boat." That question was never answered that I can remember. He reacted to the word "jewelry" because of the jewel crackers, but what was up with the word "boat?"

I actually liked this ep a lot though didn't understand it totally when I watched. Thanks Julie and J for the explanations. I understand better now.
