Do you think the later episodes would have been better if Potsie left the show instead of Ralph? I say "yes". Ralph could have still be cracking jokes and probably would have had more interesting storylines than what they threw Potsie. Agree? Disagree? One thing, please don't say "Richie", because that's not the question.

I think if Ralph stayed it would have gotten much higher ratings and It would have been more funny and overall better..But if Potsie stayed instead of Ralph and didn't get so dumb it would have been equally as good and would have gotten about the same ratings. :) :D

Yeah, I say Ralph would have been an improvement. Ralph was a much stronger character than Potsie, even though it was orginally intended to be the other way. Ralph would have had the audiences rolling. He's such a comedian! He's always doing the unexpected and that would have preserved some of the chemistry the show orginally had. Potsie, though I absolutely adore him, just fell victim to the whole "Linus without his blanket" syndrome. He always seemed to be the butt of everyone's jokes, but it was no longer funny. And was it just me, or did he just always seem to be wandering around aimlessly?

It's not just you, he always was doing that! lol.

Hey, Hey, Hey!! What's with the Potsie bashing? Just kidding. As a Potsie fan, I will obviously say that Potsie being in the show was just as amazing. While I do have to agree that Potsie was too dependent on other people's jokes to be funny, I still think Potsie was a classic. It's the writer's fault. If they gave him funny jokes, then he would have been amazing. But no, let's concentrate on something ridiculous like KC's first date with one of the Belvins. Why KC anyway? They could have just given Potsie a better role! I think Potsie will always be hilarious, perfect, incredibly hot, and my kinda guy. Chachi was always meant for Joanie, Flip's half tee shirt just made me look the other way, Fonzie was...dare I say it, getting a bit old, Roger's just too much of a nerd and Howard as wonderfully adorable as he is, is more of the fatherly type. Potsie was the perfect "hunk" to stare at and watch sing. They should have made him sing more. Now I've gone off topic. I've talked all about how Potsie could have been better and not said a word about Ralph. Ralph was funny, but I don't know if I could take a guy acting so immature for such a long time. Besides, Potsie added to the show's innocence cause he was just a sweetheart. As a final note, Yes he was Linus without his blanket, but had that blanket been shipped to Greenland and he was given more space to act, Linus would have been amazing. Maybe not the same old Linus, but a fabulous one, nonetheless!

If Ralph had stuck around, the show would have been a lot better because 1.) Episodes would focus around THEM 2.) There wouldnt be a need for all those other -ugh- new castmembers to join, and 3.) The show would still have been about what is always was about.. the original gang. Now, it would have been even BETTER if Rich had stuck around. If none of them left, you bet Id enjoy the post 80's!! Not as much, but itd def. be more watchable IMO.

I agree w/ TheFonz and MCOB on this, the ratings wouldve gone higher f my man Ralph stayed, but if Potsie left, it still wouldnt be the same, Ralph needs his sidekick!!! Richie needs his two sidekicks too!! Itd be great if they were all there the hwole show!!!


But Richie and Ralph NEVER shouldve have left! The show was NEVER the same w/o its two redheads!!!!
