I've read that article before, but I knew about all of those things long before that too. I like her music, but then again, I also like Eminem's. I dont think music has anything to do with the people behind it.

I just read that article. I really don't give a **** what other people think of Avril. I *love* Avril and her music. When I have a really bad day I can turn on her cd and feel better again. I don't care if she's pop, rock, or even country I like HER for HER.

Exactly. Why is there a bashing topic on her everyday? By the way that is just one persons opinion at that website, at least Avril's confident and she's not afraid to be herself, if only you all could see that. That website has been posted before because I remember it being posted I read a few words but I didn't want to waste my time reading it all.

Her music is alright, but she DEFINATELY needs to stop with the fake image.

If you want to hear a great album, listen to the late great George Harrison's last album "Brainwashed"...now there is a real MUSICIAN, now that is the album of the year!!

How did she become famous? Her lyrics are juvinile and a lot of the music sounds the same. What makes this so ridiculous is the fact that it took multiple musicians to create this music! Hell, I could write a better song and I don't claim to be a professional musician!

I agree... I was checking out the credits to that album and saw that George wrote music and lyrics on 11 out of 12 songs (the 12th being a cover) and played AT LEAST 1 instrument on every single song. That's what I call a true musician and a phenominal talent.

Isn't this a waste of time. Either you think Avril is a fake or you don't- case closed. You aren't gonna convince the people that like Avril that she's a fake, so why even bother? jmo

I mean even Benji from gc, who taught himself how to play the guitar and had been playing for the same amount of time as avril, writes harder guitar parts. but enough about them, yeah. Co writing means that you throw in a few rhyming words. most of the time co writting is mostly dont by profssionals.

Avril wrote her music, she just needed some help with fixing some of it up and getting a good melody, she wrote the lyrics and all that came from her heart so yes she does write her music. And Avril taught herself to play guitar and she does play a lil on the album and sometimes at concerts...

I've been wanting to say something about Avril. I'm not saying I think she's a poser-I don't really have an opinion one way or the other. (If I said I did it was during that whole Bonnie Raitt fight and I didn't mean what I said) Anyways-you see what happens to pop stars, they get picked on for the type of music they sing and the way they dress. So could you really blame Avril (if she is doing this) for pretending to be punk? The music business is really competitive and she did whatever she could to get fans so even if she is a poser (which I'm not saying she is), maybe you should respect the fact that she got so far and that so many people know who she is. So you shouldn't pick on her for that reason.

What's funny is her lyrics arent even that good. When I first heard about her I thought, "Hey, her music isn't that great but at least she wrote it herself". Then I read the facts, I lost all the respect that I had (which wasn't very much, because to tell you the truth I don't care one way or the other. I probably wouldn't have participated in any fight if that poster hadn't started b1tching at me).

As for how she dresses, who cares? I'm talking about the music. I wouldn't care if she wore a potato sack. This society is too caught up on appearance, nobody cares about the music anymore, it's pissing me off!

Nope, I don't talk to her. I just know alot about her because I'm obsessed, its called research, but I will be meeting her in March! :D And about what you said about her singing country that was no surprise to me, I have known that for months, and actually she said she didn't know much of the new music then and her parents were forcing country music on her... plus she started singing in a church choir.

i know alot of people that hate avril....they all her posers and mean names but see, i honestly dont care about her. she can 5 grammys or drown and i wont show any emotion... i like dont hate her but i dont like her. her music is ok. it was good at first and now shes annoying. She can call herself black and turn her music into jazz and i wont judge her. i dont know her personality and i dont want to. she seems like an interesting character from what i heard of her.. yea shes sounds like a fake and a moron and yea i played guitar for 3 years and i could out play her anyday. shes not the worst thing in the business but theres like a thousand people who are better than her. at the end of the day... i got nothing to say about her... i rather put on my eminem cd or my gc cd or my blink 182 cd rather than hear skater boi 1 more time.
