Cool! Thanks for telling us. You know iv'e actually never even seen any of the bttf films. I actually have part 3 in my dresser drawer but I haven't gotten around to watching it. I think when it comes out on DVD i'll definitely check them all out. Hopefully it'll have special features. Who knows, maybe Michael will even give a little actors commentary. That would be nice!

The BTTF trilogy extras will be full of Michael!! You'll see interviews of Michael, an a audio commentary for BTTF1. you'll even see a small part of the shooting of Family Ties before the live studio audience

I can tell you know, you will only see FT before the audience for 2 seconds, but i was so happy when i saw it.... :)

these are 3 of my fav movies. Oh, when I was young how I wanted that dang DeLorean! Somebody in my city has one, but I havent seen it for quite awhile. :(
I just wanted to pet it.

Im going to buy this set when it comes out Dec. 17th(?), but i do have them recorded off tv -- i might have to wait for a sale.

i think i might be partial to part 3, but its probably the one ive seen the least. The other 2 versions are on all the time.
i'd better go look, i think i still have a bunch of part 2 and 3 trading cards.

Marty's ok, but doc brown is my favorite --- i've got a thing for mad scientists. <G>

heh

Well you gotta figure you pay between 17-20 or so for one movie so I dont see 40-50 alot for all 3 of them.

Well I recently bought the star wars episode 1, and 2 DVD's off amazon for my brother for Christmas, and for the two of those it was $40.00 bucks. So most likely The three back to the future ones will be above that. The shark 8777 is right. If you bought three videos on VHS they'd go for about $15.00 a piece which would be about $45.00 for all three. So if the BTTF DVD's sold for $40.00 it would be an amazing bargain. The more I think of it i'm guessing they'll probably be more in the price range of $45.00 to $55.00. I think the best thing to do is either rent them first and see if there worth it, or wait a few months and buy them off Ebay for much cheaper.

amazon.com will be selling them for $42 with free shipping, according to their site.
i dont know if they are usually high or low, but with christmas coming, maybe there will be some store coupons or something.

In fact there's a problem with part 2 and 3 formatting. Look at this picture, the purple part of the image isn't on the DVDs....

Question: Do you get to see any of the footage they shot with Eric Stoltz?

Nope there's no Eric Stoltz on the DVDs.

ok, so I got the Back to the Future trilogy on DVD, like, right after it came out! I was really excited because I really love this movie. Have you all watched them yet? I watched part one and two a couple days ago and part three yesterday. On part three, part of MJF's butt shows. I was so not expecting it...but of course it wasn't exactly a bad thing... he was so cute back then. hehe

Well, I pretty much missed the boat on this, but my BTTF blood makes me still post about it.

They sold for about 40 bux most places. Got mine for 35 at the bulk place called Costco.

Like someone said, the bottom of the screen is missing on parts 2 and 3. Universal knew this but wanted to get the films out in time for the Christmas buying season. They can be mailed to Universal for replacements in February.

10 hours of extras. Making Ofs for all three, new interviews of Zemeckis, Gale and Fox for all three, running commentary for all three by Bob Gale, Q and A of Gale and Zemeckis for all three, Power of Love and Doubleback video, still photos of Stolz I believe, deleted scenes, bloopers (those were a real treat), hoverboard tests, and Pop Up Video like info on-screen. Took me about a week to get through it all. Tons o' fun.

Hey Winnie, there is no live action parts with Eric Stoltz, but you can see some pictures of him playing the part if you go to the Making Of The Trilogy: Chapter 1 part of the DVD. About 13 minutes into it there are a few pictures of Eric Stoltz as Marty Mcfly. There's a picture of him holding the Delorean's license plate after it disappears, as well as a picture of him with Doc, and with Lea Thompson's character. Also for anyone who hasn't watch the QNA parts of the DVD with Robert Zemeckis, and Bob Gale I highly recommend watching that. You'll find out some fascinating stuff that even the most die hard fans probably never knew before. For any BTTF fans I give this trilogy two thumbs way up, and my highest recommendation. For the low price of $40.00 it's a must have. Geez I sound like Roger Ebert don't I?

Do you happen to know if any full screen versions are defective? I was just wondering because I have the full screen version, and the picture is fine but the sound quality is all goofed up.

Not sure about the fullscreen. I'm kind of a novice when it comes to this "matted" and "dropped frames" stuff.

But yes, the audio is terrible, but have no idea if they intend on improving it.

Sorry about that last posting guys; that's what happens when you let your cat near the keyboard! Thanks for the info mdntrider. I'm really dying to see it now. Kinda nervous about all the bugs it seems to have though.

Your welcome Winnie. Iv'e heard alot about all the problems this trilogy apparently has, but personally I didn't notice many mistakes. I don't know, maybe I was just lucky and got one of the good ones, or maybe i'm just not too observant. The only thing that really bugged me about the trilogy was that I bought the Widescreen version, and instead they sold me the fullscreen version. Also Marty's jacket in part 2 had a strange glare coming from it which was kind of annoying. Apparantely though as a couple people have mentioned here I believe there going to be rereleasing it in late February without all the mistakes, so you may want to wait until then to get it. But whether you buy the version there selling now, or the one in late February, for the price there selling them for I think it's worth it either way.
