I don't feel that Joanie and Chachi were that strong as supporting characters which made it impossible for me to watch 30 minutes of justJoanie and Chachi.

Taking joanie and chachi off happy days to do a spinoff is like taking Laverne's parents off Laverne and Shirley and giving them their own show. Bad idea iMO

I think Jonie Loves Chachi should be back on the TV Land Scheduled it was a good show even know they used Jonie Loves Chachi during the box sets from time to time.

From what I heard it's great  I would love to see it someday, TV Land should add it to the Kitschen Line-up. :D

The show should have started after Happy Days ended. They were married and they could have kept the Happy Days link going. But not while hAppy Days is still on the air.

While i do like the show, I do agree with you. Although I Remember hearing once that it was never meant to be a hit, and they just wanted it to be a short term thing.

Overall i like the show, Its not Happy Days, But its cool.

It was a good show although I liked Joanie and Chachi better on Happy Days. Bingo was the best though.

I've never gotten to see it. I was too young when it originally aired. LOL. And I've never seen it on cable either. Oh well, maybe one day.

Scott Baio thinks that it's a "cesspool". Pretty bad when the star has such a low opinion of his own spinoff..

From episodes I saw a few years back on cable, it was okay, but just different. To tell you the truth, I had preferred Joanie and Chachi when they were just friends.

Joanie was more interesting as the smart a$$ bobby soxer and Chachi seemed more innocent when he was the Fonz's little mechanic wannabe cousin. I think that's how most viewers liked them, and what they saw in JLC were two adults who were trying to start lives of their own. They just didn't hold people's interest.

Well it wasn't as bad as the other two spinoffs of Happy Days, Mork and Mindy and Laverne and Shirley. JLC was watchable but I guess not enough to hold viewers attention. Maybe ABC should have aired JLC right after happy days like they did with Laverne and Shirley

I always felt they should have had Richie guest star on Joanie Loves Chachi like Fonzie did

Perhaps, but Ron Howard had pretty much left acting behind at this point. I know he later came back as Richie for a couple of episodes on Happy Days in the final season, but at that point, appearing on Joanie Loves Chachi was probably not high on his priority list. Smart move.

Well if he could do the appearances on 3 Happy Days eps in the same season as JLC i see no reason why not a brief appearance on JLC

Next to "Angie" (Donna Pescow) this is one of my favorite tv theme songs, cheesy as it can get, but I always have liked it. I have every single episode on beta from ABC original network run.

Ron Howard made his Happy Days appearances during the show's 11th and final season (1983-84). Erin and Scott were already back on HD by that point, as Joanie Loves Chachi was cancelled after the 1982-83 season.

Why would I be talking about the 83-84 season if JLC was already cancelled???????-lol I was saying that since JLC was cancelled the sake year he appeared on HD, i was wondering why he couldn't have guest starred in the mid season of 82-83 season

I liked it because it focused on the romance between Joanie and Chachi. The only episode I can remember is one where Joanie gets beat up or something like that. At the very end, Chachi starts to kiss her and then pulls away. He says "Oh, your bruise" and she smiles and says "Who cares?" and then they kiss. That's the ONLY thing I remember!

I'd love to see these on DVD, just for the heck of it.

I love the 80s sooo much. I love or atleast like most of the tv shows from then. This might possibly be the worst show to come out of the decade. Much like the last 2 or so seasons of Happy Days. (early and mid years happy days was one of the best shows ever)

The Big picture is the only reason JLC was the highest rated new tv show in history was because

1. season 1 only had 4 eps
2. The show aired on tuesday night at 8:30pm between Happy days and Three's Company

I remember watching JLC back then, but not any episodes in particular. I had bit of a crush on Erin Moran at times. She and Baio were very popular in those days.

In my opinion, "Laverne & Shirley" and "Mork & Mindy" both were well-conceived (and often well-written) spin-offs of "Happy Days." There were lots of good actors cast on those shows (Penny Marshall -- great physical comedy; Pam Dawber, an underrated actress).

A mega-hit series is likely to have only one or at most two successful spin-offs, and as it turned out JLC was not one of them. I don't fault the producers for trying though.

Is Fonzie in the entire episode or is he just in the very beginning? When he appeared on L&S he was in the entire episode
