From what I can remember of the 5 season, I think the married life of Anthony and Jeannie would have made a great show.

What do guys think? The show would have been boring if it went on a couple more years into the married life of the Nelsons or it would have been great looking more into the life of the Nelsons.

Think of all the things we could have seen. The Nelsons having children, Mrs Bellows might have found out about Jeannie, Major Healey getting married, Major Nelson ex-girlfriend comes back to claim him and finds something odd about Jeannie........... etc

If you were a writer for the show what kind of story line would you have brought on for I dream of Jeannie.

Here's one I thought that would have been great. Mrs Bellows finds out about Jeannie but keeps it for Dr Bellows and helps Major Nelson keep the truth about his wife away from everyone. Major Nelson has sexy new secretary who has a thing for him but Major Nelson's in love with his wife and this secretary finds there is something odd about Jeannie and has devoted her life to exposing Jeannie, but everytime she thinks she has got Jeannie, the same thing happens to her that always happen to Dr Bellows.

With Mrs Bellows knowing they would have to add another character to the show, but I thought that would have added a little more fun to the show

And the Nelsons having children. Anthony and Jeannie would have been in their element. Major Nelson would have saw Children as away to keep Jeannie busy and not get him in as much trouble. But as we know Jeannie would just blinked up trouble for him at home when the Bellows were over to see the kids. As we saw in the episode The Birds and the Bees Bit, Major Nelson said that everytime the Bellows went over they would spoils their children and they were always over to see the children. Not to forget they could have had genies of there own.

That's a great topic.

I would make some real awesome storylines like they would celebrate their anniversary but The Blue Djinn and Jeannie's sister try their best to break Jeannie and Tony up.

Then later on when Jeannie and Tony had a kid or kids I'd make Jeannie not really get along with their childs teacher and then I'd make a bully at that kids school who picked on their kid and then I'd make Jeannie turn her into something, and Tony would have to explain it.

Also, I'd make Roger get married!!! Yep I sure would! To one of Jeannie's cousins!!! Then I'd have a spinoff about Roger and his Genie!!

Roger and his Genie  I like that one!

Got anymore!

I have more but I'm trying to watch Miami Vice at the same time.

Maybe we should have some fan fic.

Then I'd make their kid be in a play and Jeannie wants him/her to have the best part, and she ends up cheating making her child be an awesome actor. And Tony and Roger would have a time trying to cover for her.

I'd also make Roger's wife a little of an airhead like a major airhead and that causes all kinds of trouble for Roger, Tony, and Jeannie.

Then as the big finale episode I'd make Jeannie and Tony go undercover as part of an Air Force opperation. (yes it is far fetched) And Tony would have to try and keep Jeannie's powers hid while they try to steal this code book from the Russians, since it was during the Cold War. ( O.k. that one is a bit off the beaten path, Lol!) I've been watching to many Bond films today. LOL!

Hey they are great.

Paula mention something on the 1020 Palm Drive mail list about a christmas episode. One with Roger his wife and Tony and Jeannie would have been great. Something like every year for chrismas Major Healey and Major Nelson help troubled youth or somethiing like that and Jeannie blinks up a bunch of gifts and it get out of hand or some where on that line  I know Mrs Bellows was in those things, helping the people in need.

I Dream of Jeannie
12-01-2002, 07:52 PM
That's a great idea I hadn't even thought of that. And then of course you'd have Roger and Tony's wives blinking up enormous Christmas gifts for them and their friends. LOL! And we'd get to see Tony in the same room with Jeannie's sister and mother. Poor Guy!!

I just thought of another one.

Mrs Bellows Meets the Blue Djinn

The Blue Dijnn comes back but finds himself in love with Mrs Bellows and comes up with all these plans to get rid of Dr Bellows. Major Nelson and Major Healey find out and with the help of Jeannie they have to undo eveything the Blue Dijnn does. Dr Bellows thinks its Major Nelson because everytime something happened to Dr Bellows Major Nelson has a explanation.

And has you know at the end Major Nelson finds away to trap the Blue Dijnn.

Think of all the things you could do to Dr Bellows :D

What do you think?

I Dream of Jeannie

That's a good one, I tell you what I would have never of thought of that. I love it. LOL!

How about Roger and Tony getting in a huge fight and then Jeannie and Roger's wife and Dr.Bellows and Mrs.Bellows work together to make Roger and Tony forgive each other.

I know what Jeannie and Mrs Healey go on The Jerry Springer Show and tell Jerry about their husbands. Major Nelson and Major Healey come out and beat each other up like they always do on the Jerry Springer.............

Dr Bellows is there and runs to stop the fight, then the Blue Dijnn who is after Mrs Bellows turns up and starts to beat Dr Bellows up. Major Healey and Major Nelson turn and take Dr Bellows side and it gets so out of control that Jeannie and Mrs Healey blink their husbands and the Bellows out of there into their beds. The next day Roger and Anthony are friends again and Dr Bellows wakes up thinking its all a dream. At nite Roger and his wife are that the Nelsons having a kind of make up dinner and they go to watch TV, Major Healey turns on the TV and The Jerry Springer Show is on. Over at the Bellows Mrs Bellows switchs on the TV and Dr Bellow and Mrs Bellows are watching TV.

Tonite on The Jerry Springer Show "The Missing Guests"

Jerry Springer: "Tonite "What happened to the guests on our show?" It started off with these ladies who husbands were best friend and got in a little disagrement, the a old man came to stop the fight then out if the blue some blue guy came and beat the crap out of the old man. The two friends made up and started beating the blue guy up and then next thing I know they were all gone like that. The FBI are here and they think its alien related. Here is Agent Mulder & Scully they work on the X-Files for the FBI................ "

 O.k got a bit carried away there, I'm kind of bored.

Hey maybe we should do some I dream of Jeannie cross over with other shows that are really different.

Stupid! NO-WAY!

I love it

Maybe Mrs Bellows gets special powers too and they hide all this from their husbands.

I can see them in high heel flighing

I think the ones we think are stupid are the better ones......

I can't think of any now, I'm still laughing over your Charlie's Angels one

I have got one idea. Haji's son comes to stay with Jeannie and Mrs Healey wanting to life in the US of A for a while, so they have come up with a fake name and all that stuff.

They sign him up at the gym so he can find himself a women, Jeannie fills in the form and thinking of a named for Haji's son. She see a poster of David Hasselhoff on the wall in his baywatch suit and puts his name down as David Hasselhoff and gives the form to the lady at the desk.

Lady at the desk: Hi (looks at the form) Mr Hasselhoff

Next thing you know David Hasselhoff is at the gym and all the girls are like oh that is David Hasselhoff. Haji's son thinks they are talking about and thinks all this women dig him. He sees his name in papers and everything and tells Jeannie and Mrs Healey how happy he is with his new life. And eveytime David Hasselhoff goes some where Haji's son happens to be there too, David Hassehloff think he is some crazy fan and calls the cops and the next thing you know Major Nelson and Major Healey are called to get him out of jail. Jeannie and Mrs Healey are in trouble and Major Nelson and Major Healey have to think of a way to get Haji's son out of this mess. The next day in the papers the headline say US astronauts crazy for Hasselhoff and Dr Bellows sees the headline and want to get to the bottom of it, but Major Nelson and Major Healey have to hide Haji's son because Mrs Bellows younger sister is in town and as fallen for him. Mrs Bellows is trying her best to find him. And Major Nelson and Major Healey have to do their best that she doesn't.

That was a really good one, great way to link the show to another one of your interests. I liked it!!! David calling the police on Haji's son now that's hillarious!!! LOL!

O.k. I've got one, Tony coaches him and Jeannie's kid's basketball team!! And Roger is the assistant coach. Jeannie and Mrs. Bellows keep cheating and making their team win. And Roger and Tony have to try and keep them from cheating. O.k. that was weird, we have a game in about an hour so I'm thinking about Basketball. LOl!

You know what funny is Major Nelson and Major Healey trying to stop them. I can see them about to get kicked out for stoping the game to much. Hey don't you think Haji's son whould be a great addtion to the show, they are all great at mishaps

Jeannie and Mrs Healey have a hard time try to teach Haji's son about love. So they make him watch Days. Haji's son loves it som much he blink all their lives into Days and Stefano kiddnaps Haji's son because he know his power will come in handy. Jeannie, Tony, Roger and Mrs Healey have to find Haji's son and Jhon and Marlena help them....... O.K maybe not but I can see the Stefano thing happening.

got any more? Who cares if they are stupid or weird. i think the best one are....

I have one. Jeannie and Mrs Healey want to get jobs so they go door to door selling Avon. Jeannie and Mrs Healey come to this house were is couple and a friend of theirs it over to who happens to be a male too.

Jeannie and Mrs Healey don't know how to use make up because they never have used the stuff apart from lipstick. Jeannie remember something about the lady telling her there are products for men too.

Jeannie tells them she will show what products she has and asked the husband if she could use the male products on him. He say yes and by the time Jeannie is finished with him he looks like some kind of drag queen. The couple buy all their products as away to get rid of them before then started putting make up on the next person.

At the end they both get awards from selling the most products

Those are awesome!! And I've got a way to tie it in to Days (your way was awesome)!!

Jeannie and Mrs. Healey become huge fans of Days. One day it just so happens that Joseph Moscolo (sp) ( the dude that plays Stefano), Deidre Hall (Marlena) and Drake Hogestyn (John) come to Cocoa Beach for a fan appearance. Jeannie and Mrs. Healey are walking around town shopping when they walk by "Stefano" and "Marlena" , they both look at each other in shock and say Stefano's here!!! He's kidnapped Marlena again!! Then "John" who was signing autographs near by yells "Wait, Come Back Here!" at "Stefano". Jeannie and Mrs. Healey then know for sure that Stefano has kidnapped Marlena again and John is trying to save her. They then blink "Stefano" to Jeannie's house. Where they decide to kidnap him and teach him a lesson. Meanwhile Deidre and Drake call the cops because Joseph is missing. They tell the cops the whole thing. And they have two witness with them that saw Joseph just disappear, guess who?, Dr. Bellows and Mrs. Bellows who were trying to get autographs. The police think that Dr. and Mrs. Bellows are crazy and lock them up. Dr. Bellows calls Major. Nelson and Maj. Healey and tells them that they are in jail and about everything that happened. So then Tony and Roger go to Tony's house after bailing Mrs. and Dr. Bellows out of jail. Mrs. Healey and Jeannie are there with "Stefano" in a GOLD CAGE ( IT'S THE KING OF THE NIGHT NOW, LOL!!, AND THE MAN IN THE CAGE, LOL!) Tony and Roger's jaws drop!!! Then Mrs. Bellows and Dr. Bellows come in the door. Jeannie blinks "Stefano" upstairs really quick and they don't see anything. But Dr. Bellows finds the cage in the living room!!! LOL! Tony explains that they are redecorating!! LOL! Mrs. Bellows and Dr. Bellows leave as Dr. Bellows says " There's something about this house!" LOL! Then Jeannie and Mrs.Healey explain to Tony and Roger why they took "Stefano" then Tony picks up the paper that says " Days of our Lives Stars In Town" Then he reads about who is in Cocoa Beach and explains everything to Jeannie and Mrs. Healey. They then turn back time and this time when they meet "Stefano", "Marlena", and "John" they just ask for an autograph. LOL!

Wow that was long, and really weird but that's the way we like em!!! LOL! Mrs. Healey and Jeannie being AVON ladies now that is just to funny!! I'm still laughing about that and about Haji's son being kidnapped by Stefano, to funny!!! LOL!

The Avon idea is good, but how about putting a little more "into" the show with this idea:

Jeannie and Mirilla (maybe she should be the djinni-cousin that Roger marries since we never saw her, only that Jeannie had such a cousin as mentioned in the first season) are enjoying the latest Djinni Djournal together and looking over the "ads" posted at the end of the scroll. One is for those Djinn wanting to try selling makeup to other Djinn, even other humans. The "company" is called Avalon, and they supply all the cosmetics Djinn use, such as Djinni Cream (that causes youthfulness in humans.) The ad does make the distinction between the cosmetics for both humans and Djinn, but being Jeannie and Mirilla, they naturally get their supplies mixed together and have no idea they are selling magical cosmetics to unsuspecting humans ;) At least, not until they start hearing about the effects they have caused later on...

As for resolving the problem, how about using their time-change power but in a way not normally used? Such as, they have to the Past/Future machine (or a crystal ball like Hadji's) just to find all of the "victims" and reset time just for them. Sure, Jeannie could probably do it all in one blink, but maybe the magic of the cosmetics is upsetting that ability. The alternative is that they still use some divination tool to discover all of their victims, then they have to supply some kind of "antidote" for their particular problems.

The fun part can be in coming up with all of the magical effects of the different cosmetics, and then what kind of antidotes would be required, especially if combining magical cosmetics on humans causes different total effects than just the original ones.

I have plenty more idea for this kind of thing, but at the moment, most are restricted to the seasons closest to after the show ended (6th season+) I am not much for crossover stories, and the ones mentioned so far, though good, assume we are now talking about the Nelsons, Healeys, and Bellows in modern times. If that is the case, what about their children? My thoughts on Jeannie's children have nothing to do with those movies made in the 80's, and are closer to the possible future foretold in "The Birds and Bees Bit." I would rather see Jeannie have twin girls in say, the 7th season, with both being Djinn (as adults, they turn out to be more powerful than their mother...no "watering down" of magic for me due to human/Djinni marriages.) Maybe the next children come one at a time, but personally I feel all would be Djinn (more fair to the children that have to grow up together anyway, and cause for even more chaos than was ever portrayed on Bewitched.)

So, a lot for one little idea ;)

I'll post my "few" ideas for 6th season stories that I came up with years ago, mostly for other writer-friends to work with.

I'm just copy'n'pasting these directly from one of my many documenst on this subject. Plenty to sift through and hopefull get those fanfic juices going!

1. Come up with more rules/laws/restrictions from the book The Care and Feeding of Genies.
2. Jeannie visits the store Roger bought the book in, finding all sorts of surprises : )
3. An allergy to pollen (or some other plant, preferably one of the ‘mythical’ ones from her hometown) causes her blinks to be ‘****-eyed’, or, her Magic ends up getting sneezed into the air to work things on its own and randomly.
4. Jeannie buys a lovely necklace in that book/antique shop, only to discover that it is cursed and makes her the slave of the woman owner of the companion necklace. However, Jeannie does not have to be in the woman’s presence for her to know when to grant all spoken and unspoken wishes. Thus, problems will arise for both women; for Jeannie when she must do a simple blink or a crossed-arms blink, and for the woman as she continues to get her wishes granted. Also, the curse prevents Jeannie from finding the owner of the second one, unless she is wished in her presence. Or, maybe not. This can be developed further (especially since I have no conclusion as yet…)
5. Jeannie is fading away again, but it has nothing to do with Mecca this time. Rather, they discover that she is not granting enough wishes to her master. According to Hadji, she must grant at least 3 wishes a day for the next fortnight to become magically ‘balanced’ again. Furthermore, she must grant one wish every 3 days to remain balanced from then on. These must be ‘major’ wishes, too, not just a wish for food or to get to work on time.
6. Another woman (civilian aide to the astronauts) falls for Tony, even though she knows Tony is married. She has met Jeannie and thinks she is the wrong woman for Tony. She starts trying to win him over to her by writing anonymous letters and putting them in the office mail, stepping up her efforts by including her address (work addy first, then home addy). Jeannie pops in one day when Tony is out of the office and finds the latest letter. Seeing the home address, she blinks over, only to find the home practically a shrine to Major Nelson. The collection of photos and clippings includes the two times she magically allowed herself to be photographed. There are notes scrawled in the margins of the photos questioning Jeannie’s existence there including asking why she is play-acting as a princess that one time. As Jeannie searches the room, she finds more photos of that stay in Hollywood and more questions about Jeannie and Tony being together before anyone knew of her existence. Jeannie wants to just blink it all away and erase this woman’s memories of all of this, but she feels she should ask Tony first. And ask him why he never said anything of her before. (Tony says that he did not want Jeannie changing her into a goat, or a camel, or something.)
7. The night before a test flight, Jeannie dreams of there being an accident with her Master. So, she sneaks aboard first as smoke, going into Tony’s suit, and reforming herself either very tiny inside of his helmet, or as a reflection on the inside of it. (The flight could be a test of the re-designed ‘jet plane’ used in U-F-Ohh Jeannie, this time being a sub-orbital flight.)
8. Being on April Fool’s Day, Jeannie’s birthday is always a day of magical pranks, both by Jeannie on Tony and Roger, as well as by her family/friends on herself, Tony, and Roger.

the rest of my first document:

9. Tony reads aloud a spell from one of Jeannie’s books, unaware of its meaning or use, and putting a growth spell on Jeannie, making her grow slowly. She is not in the room at the time, being in the kitchen while he reads upstairs. She must only be within 7 x 7 (or 49) cubits of the spell-caster. The rate of growth is one digit per day, though the length of the digit increases as she grows (one digit is equal to .72”, or the first digit of the index finger.) She can still change her size, but only if it is less than 7 x 7 digits (35”) of her original size. There is no limit to her largest size, but she will grow faster as she grows bigger. The only resolution to this that I have come up with is that the spell Tony cast has a way of canceling it, but it is on either a missing page, or the next page, and it is stuck to the next page. When pulled apart, the inks have mingled, rendering the text almost illegible.

10. Mrs. Bellows sees (and reads) an English-language copy of the Djinni Djournal Jeannie had blinked up for Tony to read. Getting suspicious (especially when the ‘mailing’ label is addressed to the ‘Genie’ of the house, or it is addressed simply ‘Jeannie’ with no other address text) she “borrows” the magazine to show Alfred.

11. Cousin Mirilla is summoned by Jeannie to take her place at home while Jeannie attends urgent genie/master business in ancient Baghdad.

12. Another hurricane threatens a mission (a launch this time). Tony absentmindedly wishes it would not hit the coast, so-o, Jeannie, in another room (maybe the kitchen) becomes smoke, goes into the storm, turning it pink like her smoke. It stays this way as she becomes the storm, allowing her to move it away as her master wished. However, she does this with a method and fashion contrary to normal hurricane behavior, i.e., in the direction it came from. (This is impossible as the Coriolis Effect keeps any wind currents from going in a direction opposite of the prevailing winds and the turning of the Earth.) Jeannie exits the hurricane as smoke again, leaving enough blink on/in it to keep it on its reversed course and development so that in a few days it will have disappeared again. The color of the storm reverts to normal as she leaves it, teleporting herself home by smoke to the front hall. Jeannie has granted this wish without Tony knowing so that if anything goes wrong, she won’t get in trouble. Of course, the impossible behavior of the storm causes NASA to investigate. Jeannie, now worried of anything happening to her master and Roger, smokes up the engine-exhaust of their plane as they take off, working her way up to the front to materialize 6” tall on top of the instrument panel before Tony. (She comes in this way as she does not want to end up on the nose of the plane as she found out later was the way Tony ended up ‘in’ the plane when she sent him to Havana.) Tony yells out Jeannie’s name over the noise, then has to grab the mic as Dr. Bellows and Roger ask him why he’s calling for Jeannie. She simply blinks and totally silences all of the noise, smiling with accomplishment. [[where we go from here is up to y’all ;)]]

13. Roger finds a passage in The Care and Feeding of Genies while visiting the Nelsons one evening that details how to summon your own genie. Since he had been somewhat engrossed in the book, he raises no eyebrows when he asks to borrow the book and call it a night. However, he does not go directly home. Instead, he ends up at the book/antique store where he originally bought the book, knowing that it had plenty of other strange and unusual books and items. Luckily, they are still open, and he is able to find all of the items listed for the spell: an old Aladdin-style oil lamp with wick and oil; a blue candle – 3” diameter; an indigo-blue silk veil with silver embroidery very much like the silks he had to buy that one time in Baghdad; and a writing set with quill, India ink, and a parchment scroll to write the spell on for reading aloud and binding the genie to him eternally. Getting all of this home, Roger sets it all up, writing the spell carefully, though excitedly. The text looks a little shaky, but is still legible enough. With that done, he lights the lamp, beginning to rub the lamp with the silk as he recites the spell. Immediately, the wick vanishes and the flame goes entirely smokeless for the full duration of the first verse, then begins smoking in a dense and deep blue. As he finishes reading the spell a full blue-smoke column exactly like Jeannie’s flows out of the flame, moving off and away from him to hover briefly over the open space of carpeting. It expands upwards and downwards to quickly take on a very familiar form: the Blue Djinn! And, Roger is now his Master, making the Blue Djinn all the more incensed.

6th Season Ideas – continued

1. A Proper Honeymoon – This time, Jeannie and Tony are alone (no other people such as the Bellows or Roger). It could take place over a single weekend with Jeannie getting permission to extend it with a week’s worth of Saturdays and Sundays. It could also take place in the past, or even the future. The only problem I have come up with that could arise is that Jeannie magic use is witnessed by a reporter (someplace in the world, even within the past, like within the last 60 years). The magic could be them appearing out of nothing, then seen to vanish again, as well as anything else we can come up with.

2. Tony the Sportsman – Jeannie makes Tony bowl a perfect game several times in a row, thus getting him on some AF/NASA league.

3. Jeannie’s future/fortune-telling abilities need to be taken advantage of in at least one of our final episodes. Minor instances of it could be used such as her knowing who’s on the phone before answering it, who’s at the door, or what the answers are to sweepstakes questions on a radio show, or a TV show.

4. We could have an unknown or possibly ‘bad’ consequence occur because of Jeannie “changing time” at the end of some other dilemma.

5. Whatever happened with all of the environmental changes Jeannie caused in the 1st season ep “This Is Murder”? Are scientists still studying the events of those 3 days, or did the world forget it all in the blink of a pair of magical eyes the next day?

6. Trick or Jeannie – Jeannie dresses as herself (a djinni) on Halloween for a NASA party, possibly wearing her original pink costume. Dr. Bellows sees her and is reminded of the two times he has seen her in her harem clothes (“My Master, The Magician”, and “Divorce, Genie Style”). If Amanda is at the party (most likely) she is also reminded of her being in her other harem clothes in “Divorce” two and a half years ago. How do they react to this memory (or memories) and what happens because of it? (Did either of the Bellows get much of a glimpse of Jeannie or her sister in “Jeannie-Go-Round”? something to ponder...)

7. Jeannie’s sister (whom I will refer to as “Jeannii” from now on) gets amnesia this time and falls
in love with some other astronaut (like Mike Farrell or Dabney Coleman). Her amnesia is different than Jeannie’s in that she remembers still being a djinni (or maybe remembers her life as a djinni, but is unsure if she is still one, or not, and of how to use her powers if she is still a djinni). And, because she is truly in love with this astronaut, her personality has changed for the better. Perhaps this other astronaut resigns from NASA to be with his new djinni, or he is already married and we get some conflict that way.

8. What happens if, while visiting California, Jeannie stops an earthquake? Maybe she even knows it is coming, and allows it to shake for a moment before blinking it away. And, is she observed doing this, perhaps by hippies/psychics?

djinnitaur
12-10-2002, 04:57 AM
9. Should we address Jeannie’s ability to control the weather/elements more often or in other ways? And, in more detail?

10. After “Hurricane Jeannie” the electricity in the house still operates by magic (even though the light-switches work as normal). The electric company wants to know why they have zero usage on their bill, so a representative drops by to investigate. (An aside – I remember reading a semi-horror story where the protagonist was an investigator for an electric utility company and came across some one that seemed to be getting his electricity from no where; turned out he had found a way to get power from his own negative energy, thus making him purely positive throughout the day.)

11. After Jeannie gets them out of trouble with the power company, she makes the sewer/water of the house just as magical (she found a way to keep the house magically electrified, yet prevent the power company from bothering them). She trusts that she can always use the same method on the city as she did for the power company. Instead, her ‘solution’ backfires on her, and she ends up having to not only revert the water/sewer utility back to ‘normal’ but also the electricity, too.

12. We need to come up with at least one other time-travelling episode to the past, whether it is the honeymoon one, or a different one. Perhaps going to new year’s in 1899 in Paris/London/New York/Moscow/Tokyo and more, even all of the above, getting to see the new year’s celebration in all the major cities of the world. (And thus, getting photographed as well, though only Tony will show up *G*).

13. Jeannie’s jealousy is fired up by her sister again, perhaps by introducing someone to Tony, and then putting a love spell on the two of them.

14. Jeannii finds a spell/amulet that allows her to literally switch bodies with her sister. Not simply change her own body into Jeannie’s and vice versa, but literally become her sister while Jeannie becomes Jeannii. No mortal will be able to tell the difference as both will look, sound, and to a point, even act like they should. Perhaps this last fact is how Jeannie manages to switch them back again, and in typical Jeannii-style cunning. The two Djinn will know that they are still themselves somewhere deep inside, but it may be a struggle to hold such memories on the surface for long. It could still allow Jeannie as Jeannii to make her trick on her sister work to reverse the spell.

15. What can we do for Tony’s birthday (whenever it is)?

16. Is Tony still getting royalties from his (Jeannie’s) book on parenting? And, how much did he make on it, anyway? Did he and Roger buy their boat with some of that money? If so, how often do they take it out? Perhaps sometime when they take it out (with Jeannie coming along) Jeannie helps them actually find real pirate treasure, as Tony was hoping to do when he was going skin-diving that one time.

17. Tony and Jeannie decide to let his mother in on her true nature after she finally notices something magical. When she learns the truth, she is not appalled by it, or frightened by it, but actually thrilled, and even more happy for her son, and Jeannie. However, in conversation with Dr. Bellows over lunch, she mentions the ‘secret’ in passing, and starts our conflict for this episode :)

18. Jeannie gets trapped by Amanda’s niece in the copy of Jeannie’s bottle somehow, and becomes Jeannie’s new mistress/master, if only temporarily. Or, the girl (maybe 13 or 14 in age) is able to ‘sense’ something odd about the copy, so she borrows it before they go over to the Nelson’s for another overnight stay. Here, she discovers the original (she had a very strong feeling she would find it here) and manages to switch the two bottles out late that night after the Nelsons have gone to bed. She takes the original back up stairs, and tries everything she can think of to discover why she has these feelings about it. In the process, she lightly runs her fingers over the smooth part of the bottle just above the bulbous base, and triggers the old summoning spell that Jeannie and her bottle are linked with. Jeannie changes into smoke while still asleep, getting teleported by smoke to her bottle, though she never reforms out of the smoke. Not yet, anyway. Instead, her smoke boils out of her bottle, depositing her full-sized, dressed in her harem clothes again, and bowing in servitude for her new master, yawning a bit as she does. Now then, where is the niece from, and does she wish to be taken back there before she begins making many new wishes? And is she as greedy as normal for a mortal, or does she have other, more fantasy ideas in mind to be granted? We can assume that the Bellows eventually find out, and that Tony learns of Jeannie’s plight when she is allowed to return home briefly, but, what more can we do here? (my notes on this idea started out as but 2 sentences *G*).

19. Whatever happened to Hadji’s Day? Also, though I know the Day of the Ram is long past, is it on different days for all djinn? If so, would Jeannie help out her sister on her Day of the Ram? (Assuming that she does not know what is going on and ends up getting so weak with her powers that she cannot get herself and her master there.) [I know, this one is kind of weak, but it leads into the next idea...]

20. Are there any other magical/sacred days/events/ of the djinn? Such as the Night of the Fish (Pisces)? ;)

21. Jeannie wants to surprise Tony as a joke and changes herself into a tiny mermaid in a fishbowl. She is observed in this form (as the bowl is near the window on his desk) by a neighbor or postal/delivery person.

22. What other dreams/nightmares can Jeannie have that come true?

23. Jeannie helps Roger with his girl troubles, and maybe it works this time. She uses the spell of Haji-Baba on his girlfriend, making her overly in love with him, and more than willing to practically be his slave. Even after the spell is canceled, she holds the same intense feelings of love and desire for him. Can he handle it?

24. For a dinner party, Jeannie blinks up her youth-making cake, having forgotten of its affect on mortals. Its magic is much stronger this time, and actually changes all that eat it (other than herself) into children of about 8-10 years of age. She finds she has to ask Haji for help when she cannot restore them to normal with her own powers.

I came up with all of these by going through the episode list. I am only halfway through it, too :)

This first one I would like to eventually flesh out and finish, though the secone one is open for anyone:

Tony and Jeannie are celebrating their 18th month wedding anniversary (you know how they are about celebrating how many months they have been married *G*) and agree to meet first in a bar/lounge they like, then off to dinner together. Jeannie gets there on time (popping in, near the door) but Tony is tied up in a minor traffic jam, due to an accident (not with him, but the road is blocked). Jeannie does not know why he is late, but while she waits for him, a man in the bar makes a pass at her. She manages to fend him off (without magic as others could see her do that) and goes off to freshen up again. What she does not know is that the drunk has also wandered off to the restrooms, and is waiting for her when she comes back out of the ladies room. She gets pinned by him in the corner of the alcove for the restrooms, and now she can blink. He disappears, and that is the last we see of him. Tony arrives soon after, explains the traffic he had to put up with, and the two of them head off to the restaurant.

Outside the bar a beautiful young woman appears in the parking lot, near one of the other cars. She is dressed in a miniskirt and blouse, and high heels to match. Her purse is in one hand, her car keys in the other. She drops both and simply gasps, wide-eyed, at what has happened to her. (The scene could fade out here...)

The next day, Tony mentions that the lead engineer of some project they are working on is missing. Jeannie is clueless, not connecting the incident of last night with this event. She asks if there is anything she can do, but Tony declines letting her 'help'. Their evening goes on uneventfully (that we know of *G*).

At the end of the next day, Tony is visited by Dr. Bellows telling him that a young woman has talked to him, insisting that she is the missing engineer. He agreed to talk to her after hearing from her how she (as a man) had made a pass at Jeannie Nelson, and even cornered her. The next thing he knows, he's a she, in the body he currently is in. Now, normally, Dr. Bellows would not even take the time to listen to such an outlandish story, but, after years of hearing such stories from Tony, he decides to "get to the bottom of it." His discussion with Tony leads nowhere, of course, but Tony's subsequent discussion with Jeannie gets some eye-opening answers.
* * *
Now, where to take this, I don't know. I would think that Jeannie would be adamant to leave her as she is, despite his importance to NASA. She gets convinced otherwise, but plans on exacting a bit of minor revenge on the man, such as him changing back into a woman whenever he is alone.

-----------

Okay, now my comments. I know that trans-gender changes seem to be taboo for many people, but if Jeannie could do it for herself, why not for someone else in the show? It was never done for anyone else, just her, and always for no more than a few minutes. (Even though she offered to change herself into a man in order to go with Tony on his cruise to Rome in the first season.) I can't remember if they ever changed Darrin into a woman in that show, but I know they switched his and Samantha's voices once, so that is kind of along the same lines. And, considering that we are writing for people that have grown up with topics far 'worse' than a simple body-switch, I have no qualms about writing such an episode. I would probably need help with Dr. Bellows character as well as where to continue this one to, other than eventually changing him back, but I would assume we could also bring Amanda Bellows in on it, since we now have a former man having to deal with being a woman.

Another cursed object idea:
While rummaging through her mother’s attic again, Jeannie unknowingly curses herself when she touches a temporarily magical object (of course, most all of the items her mothers has in the attic are of some kind of magical nature). Temporary in that the curse only affects a single offspring of the owner of the object and not the owner himself or herself. Nothing untoward happens right away, so Jeannie never knows anything is amiss.

The Curse is such that parts of Jeannie’s body/limbs go immaterial (not invisible) in random order and for a random amount of time. For example, she reaches for the door knob right as her hand and arm go ethereal up to the middle of the forearm. As she stumbles forward when her hand and part of her arm go through the matter of the door, her arm and hand become material again, and she is stuck in the solid matter of the door. She can, of course, get out of it magically, but she must either blink her whole body out in order to do so, or teleport just her arm out, either by blinking herself into a new body position that does not include her being inside of solid matter, or she has to actually make her arm vanish up to the point where it enters the solid matter. She would then have to blink her body part back into being again. The Curse prevents her from blinking herself ethereal to get out of the incident, but she is still able to blink herself ethereal when the Curse is not affecting her. However, even then, it could suddenly affect her and she would then get a portion of her body to become solid, opposite of what she is doing ethereally. Thus, her ponytail gets stuck in the wall/door, pulling her back against it as she exits the other side.

I do not have a ‘cure’ for this curse as yet, so that can be up to us, if we accept this particular idea. It could be cause for some sticky situations with the Bellows or whomever.

Okay, that's all of my ideas for now. Read them over, print them out, or whatever. Maybe we should set up another thread just for adding story ideas. And, I will be glad to comment on non-crossover ideas from everyone else :)
