In talking about the timming of Freddie killing himself on or the day after Kathy's birthday, and also about the E true story.
In the Interview Kathy emphatically states that had she been there Freddie would not have done what he did,she said she could talk him out of it.
Well that being the case why didn't she go over there after he called her?
Sure it was late and she had little Freddie to think of but think of this.
1 this was the love of her life her son's father crying out for help couldn't she have brought Jr to a neighbor or (this may or may not have been a goodidea)bring Jr along?
If Kathy was so sure that she could have talked Freddie out of shooting himself, probably so much more so if Freddie could have seen his little Pie that night.Maybe he would have thought showbiz or no showbiz my son needs his Dad and I'm going to get help.
So I sure would like to know why after he called her-If she really loved her "latin lover" why she stayed home?
Doesn't it make you wonder?

Yes Joy that raises alot of questions, Did she care about Freddie? She knew what kind of trouble he was having mentally and emotionally, Why didn`t she go?

Yes, Peko, I wonder about all those things myself. Everyone involved just absolutely "dropped the ball" in this situation, and it cost a wonderful, sweet, talented, beautiful young man his life. I can't imagine how they all have been getting through their lives since then!

Peko,
according to Maria's book when she got off the phone with Freddie that night she told Karl to call 911-while she called Carol(and we know the waste of time that turned out to be) but apparently Dusty called (after the fact)but if Karl had the time to call how come they didn't get there in time?
I wonder if karl flustered, rushed and in poor health forgot to call or was told by the operator a unit had already been sent there? who knows for sure but i do know Karl called 911 according to the book

Back then 911 wasn't what it is today. They didn't have the advanced systems that we have today. Basically, all it was back then was an operator who could connect the calls to where they needed to go. There was probably a lot of confusion, as it was my understanding that the Preutzel's were not familiar as to the exact location of The Comstock. As for the Kathy question, I feel that she thought Freddie wasn't serious...as everyone involved did. It cost the world dearly.
