I agree.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 11-30-2002, 01:22 AM IMO, I was VERY disappointed. Compared to the first 2... it pulled a Home Alone. I liked it though.. just a lot of different things were there. If anything, the new kids (AND ALICE!) bugged me.
Pavan 11-30-2002, 12:26 PM I thought the ratings would be better than this:
NBC won Friday night with a 6.9 rating/13 share in households even though it only took the final hour of primetime. CBS was second with a 4.9/9, followed by ABC, 4.5/8 and FOX, 2.2/4
Among adults 18 to 49, NBC also led with a 4.1 rating. ABC averaged a 2.4, CBS 1.9 and FOX 1.4.
CBS started things off at 8 p.m. with "48 Hour Investigates" surgical procedures to lose weight (just in time for the holidays), 6.5/12. NBC was second with its movie "It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie," 6.0/11, while ABC came in third with "America's Funniest Home Videos," 5.2/10. FOX rounded out the top four with "The Brady Bunch in the White House," 2.3/5.
At 9 p.m., "Hack" held on to CBS' lead with a 6.0/11, ahead of the Muppets on NBC, 5.4/10. ABC went the comedic route with "The Drew Carey Show," 3.3/6, and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" 2.9/5. FOX stuck with its Brady movie, 2.1/4.

Fox didn't have much faith in it -- they buried it on Friday night, after the official end of sweeps period, with virtually no promotion. And looking at the final product, I can see why. Unlike the first two movies, the Schwartzes were back in charge for this one, and it showed.

Sherwood and Lloyd got producer credits (i.e. they shared in the profits), but had little creative input. Instead, Paramount brought in a respected director (Betty Thomas for the first one) and writers with reputable comedic backgrounds (Bonnie and Terry Turner from "Saturday Night Live", for example).
For "White House", Lloyd and his sister Hope wrote the script, they tried to ape the style of what real comedy writers did for the first two movies.
jon123 12-01-2002, 03:55 PM That explains why this movie was not as funny as the first two, although it did have its moments. Now you had the original writers who were trying to copy the style of the comedy writers who were parodying them!

Oooooooooooooh ok..thanks for the info! That explains the major differences!! Ugh. Hey..do you know WHY they wrote it? We all know it would have been 100% better if they had someone else write it.
